The young man I spoke with was courteous, professional, and transparent about what he would or wouldn't recommend for likely problems. Although he had set service appointments in the morning, he said try to be onsite the same day if possible. He contacted me about noon and advised he'd be there in 30 minutes, and was right on the estimated time. After inspecting the refrigerator he diagnosed a freon leak and discussed the costs and potential for further problems even after a repair. I was impressed with his commitment to ensuring a quality outcome and his concern about the age of the refrigerator requiring more expensive repairs in the near future. He could have made a significant amount of money fixing something in the short term, but chose to focus on ensuring I well-informed about likely near-term additional costs. I called the office. oh now it's going to be in 3 days. no reason given, just, "it's not my fault". He is who took my money for the appliance, so he is responsible for me getting it. during our conversation, I simply wanted an explanation of why I wasn't contacted to say anything about the appointment that they never showed for, but he just hangs up on me. He has over $700 of mine and I have nothing. No notice that it would be late, no phone call to ask if a different day would be okay, just hangs up on me. My initial intuition was to cancel the visit for diagnosis. I should have listened. I am furious. He absolutely hung up on me. They don't care once they have your money. Do not deal with these people. This is truly how people from other countries think of US citizens. Now I have to get BOA and BBB involved. Why would you treat someone this way after they have already paid for the product? I would never treat anyone this way. of course it's Friday so I have to call the emergency fraud dept at BOA. Before the repair, I explained that I was in a dispute with the refrigerator manufacturer over the ice maker and needed a detailed invoice describing the work performed and any parts replaced. Mr. Decker assured me he would provide that documentation, but he never did. I contacted the company by text on June 17, June 19, and June 21 requesting assistance, but received no response. I then sent a detailed email on June 23 requesting a response within two business days. That email also went unanswered. I understand that not every repair is successful on the first visit. However, what I cannot understand is the complete lack of communication after multiple attempts to reach the company. A simple acknowledgment or update would have gone a long way. Because the repair did not resolve the problem, the promised documentation was never provided, and my repeated requests for follow-up went unanswered, I have no choice but to hire another repair service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
