The staff are always super friendly and helpful whenever I come in, they are knowledgeable, and have very reasonable prices. I have had to call them a few times during a pet emergency after hours. They have always promptly returned my calls and help me come up with a plan of action until they can be seen the next morning. In fact, Dr. Caudill has been our only vet since we moved to the Morehead area almost 20 years ago. We love her gentle touch with our cats and dogs, but also her high professionalism and experience. As we live on a farm and have a number of animals, we appreciate the fact that Dr. Caudill is practical--she will not order unnecessary tests like many vets do. She takes a practical approach, if the treatment will do no harm and will help diagnose the problem while also helping your pet, she'll do that. She endeared us on our first visit when we arrived early and heard her in the back talking to the cats she was treating--talking to them just as if they were her own. On the one occasion we had to put down a cat, Dr. Caudill was very compassionate--to our pet and to us. Dr. Caudill is not the vet to go to if you want your pet to have all the shiny new tests. He was seen by a local veterinarian, but had complications to his breathing one night and we rushed him to AAC. The care there was VERY inconsistent. Some of the vets and techs were good and others were not. This inconsistency of care and transfer of information was a huge problem. After a few days of care, they ended up calling us in the middle of the night, put us on hold for 5 minutes where I was just panicking, and then insisted he needed to be euthanized. They also told me they weren't providing basic care they promised like draining his bladder. We rushed there and were hard sold on euthanizing him based on information I later found to be incorrect, if not an outright lie. So now my cat is dead, and I am questioning so much of what happened. After a couple of weeks, I left a clear review voicing my concerns on another review site. Nothing mean. Nothing out of hand. I would hope they'd take my concerns to heart. I must have struck a nerve, because they followed up by sending me a letter that basically said (paraphrasing), "Sorry your cats is dead, but you left a bad review so now you are banned from all of our practices." I've NEVER heard of such behavior from a vet, and I'm still shocked. It feels like the intent was cruelty, and not something you would expect from a vet that truly cares about animal welfare. Go here if you must, but be careful.

But, he never makes me feel that way he always helps me by giving me his opinion and information. He sold me a flea pill and literally Jinx's fleas were gone in a day or two. He always knows the latest about medication and sickness for pets. He never fails to know the answer to my questions. His prices are so reasonable and affordable for anybody.
