The staff are always super friendly and helpful whenever I come in, they are knowledgeable, and have very reasonable prices. I have had to call them a few times during a pet emergency after hours. They have always promptly returned my calls and help me come up with a plan of action until they can be seen the next morning. In fact, Dr. Caudill has been our only vet since we moved to the Morehead area almost 20 years ago. We love her gentle touch with our cats and dogs, but also her high professionalism and experience. As we live on a farm and have a number of animals, we appreciate the fact that Dr. Caudill is practical--she will not order unnecessary tests like many vets do. She takes a practical approach, if the treatment will do no harm and will help diagnose the problem while also helping your pet, she'll do that. She endeared us on our first visit when we arrived early and heard her in the back talking to the cats she was treating--talking to them just as if they were her own. On the one occasion we had to put down a cat, Dr. Caudill was very compassionate--to our pet and to us. Dr. Caudill is not the vet to go to if you want your pet to have all the shiny new tests. His online puppy classes is beneficial to our family. Our pup, Newton is healthy, happy and on his way to be a well-behaved dog. I was referred to Charlie by my breeder up in Canada and due to the pandemic I can't do business with her. She recommended Charlie to me because she has known him for quite some time. I contacted Charlie and we e-mailed and spoke with each other. I informed him I was interested in a female puppy and would like to put my name on the list of a mating he was thinking of setting up. I was informed of the steps that were needed to be taken if a puppy became available, including signing a contract. I told my breeder in Canada to forward $200 to Charlie I had put down on a puppy from her before the pandemic broke out. I sent Charlie $250 more and asked him to send me the contract so I could review it since I have never had to deal with a contract before. I sent him the $ before receiving the contract to show him my interest and to get my name on the list first. I repeatedly asked him to send me the contract and he delayed for weeks until after the litter was born. Then one day he told me he sent me the contract and to hurry up and sign it and send it back to him. After reviewing the contract, I informed him that I had a hard time signing the contract due to the language and wording of it. I informed Charlie I would be willing to sign the contract if I could change the wording a little bit. The bottom line is Charlie told me I could not change the contract and to think about it for a bit and if I decided not to sign the contract he would send me my money back. I don't know if it is a bruised ego that someone told him "no" that they didn't like the contract but I have tried to contact him by phone and e-mail 4 times and he refused to respond and send my money back. There was another couple who stated that Charlie took their money also and didn't return or respond to their calls. Real mature and professional. A friend referred a client to him to help him prosper since she couldn't make a sale herself due to the pandemic, and he screwed his friend's client over. That's all you need to know about him. Think twice before choosing to do business with this guy! Get the contract and read it before you send him a dime! I will take this post down when you send me my $450 Charlie....at least I am a man of my word!
