He met the veterinarian who owns the practice. (He actually went to high school with him). We were able to get our pup micro chipped. I went in with 2 of our younger (but big) dogs and asked the assistants to muzzle them for their nail trims as they will nip when frightened. They muzzled them and everything went fine. My husband paid the bill. It was $210 for everything! They also have a grooming studio next door and they do boarding!!

Over that time, we worked with multiple veterinarians here and spent thousands of dollars, so we genuinely believed there was a level of mutual trust and respect. In the past, the clinic had shown some flexibility when large bills came up, which we appreciated as loyal, long-term customers. However, our most recent visit completely changed our perception. We were quoted $254 for routine blood and urine testing, which is already on the higher side. When we asked for just a couple of days to settle the payment--something that had been accommodated before--we were unexpectedly refused. Instead, we were pressured at the front desk to apply for a credit line on the spot, and we were not allowed to leave until we addressed the payment situation. The experience felt incredibly uncomfortable, forced, and frankly disrespectful. After years of loyalty and significant financial commitment, being treated this way was shocking. It felt like the clinic no longer values its long-term clients and has shifted toward a rigid, impersonal, and customer-unfriendly approach. Between the high pricing and the way this situation was handled, we've decided to take our business elsewhere. This was, without question, one of the worst experiences we've had at any veterinary clinic. We will not be returning.

In fact, Dr. Caudill has been our only vet since we moved to the Morehead area almost 20 years ago. We love her gentle touch with our cats and dogs, but also her high professionalism and experience. As we live on a farm and have a number of animals, we appreciate the fact that Dr. Caudill is practical--she will not order unnecessary tests like many vets do. She takes a practical approach, if the treatment will do no harm and will help diagnose the problem while also helping your pet, she'll do that. She endeared us on our first visit when we arrived early and heard her in the back talking to the cats she was treating--talking to them just as if they were her own. On the one occasion we had to put down a cat, Dr. Caudill was very compassionate--to our pet and to us. Dr. Caudill is not the vet to go to if you want your pet to have all the shiny new tests. I will say the support staff were friendly but the facility was horrible; the leaky ceiling was rotting and bits were falling down. Packing tape patching the walls. I only stayed because of the reviews. How the heck does this place even get 2 stars?! Ugh, I'm so disgusted.
