Word to the wise, whatever you do at this Pure Barre studio GET IT IN WRITING. I have spent the…read morepast month (literally no joke) trying to get in touch with the San Clemente studio because they charged me an extra month even though I had moved 7 hours away and was assured my account would be terminated on July 29th. Immediately after seeing a faulty charge hit my credit card on July 29th, over the past 30 days alone I have called 14 times, physically drove into the studio and spoke to the front desk associate who was unable to assist because she wasn't a manager, and then emailed 7 times. The management team here is completely unresponsive. When I was able to get ahold of a front desk associate, they assured me multiple times that Ashlie, the manager at the time, would call me back same-day which never once happened. Such a disappointment after being a client for several months. I've lived in a few cities different cities over the past five years for work so had the chance to try out Pure Barre studios elsewhere - I can confidently say the San Clemente studio is the least responsive and most disorganized which is disappointing because the clients and instructors are fantastic. I am hoping by leaving this review that Ashlie or someone else in management will finally get in touch with me. I spoke to a couple friends who use the studio and they too (even as active clients) struggle to get their phone calls returned so it doesn't sound like this is a one-off occurrence ... at this point it's a matter of principle and customer service 101 -- return calls and when you say you're going to cancel a customer's account actually do it (in this case, an irresponsible person didn't follow through and now I'm out $200).

In addition I have lost 15 pounds. This is more than a gym it's a community. Everyone knows each other by name. The instructors are amazing making sure you have the proper form and prevent any injury. I have been a member in large gyms before and the classes are so large that the instructors can not assist you with corrections which can lead to injuries. I highly recommend Pure Barre San Clemente.

First time taking a barre class ever. My friend introduced me to this location and we decided to…read moresign up for a class together. I really wasn't sure what to expect because I've seen so many different variations of barre class exercises on the internet, and my friend explained that the classes differ each time, especially depending on the instructor. We booked our class the night before. They do their booking through google which is super convenient and easy. We paid $24 each for one hour long class. If this is something you're looking into doing often like once a week or so, it can really add up. They do offer packages so you get a better deal on multiple classes, but those can get up there in price. I did notice there was a new member package that offered 3 classes for $40 which seemed like a steal! We arrived 15 minutes ahead of time since it was my first time and they recommended new members arrive a little early to fill out a waiver. The do offer lockers to keep your purse and things in but there are no locks available. The class itself was definitely a workout, but nothing too crazy in my opinion. We focused more so on our lower body and core. I was really happy to learn some new core exercises from this class that I can start incorporating into my normal core workouts. We also did some exercises on the barre, on mats, using a resistance strap, and using a mini exercise ball. Lots of variation and our instructor was super encouraging the whole time. She made sure everyone was comfortable and offered modifications for every exercise incase that suited you better. Overall, I definitely recommend this location for barre classes. I was super happy with my first experience and will be looking forward to booking another session in the near future.

Barre3 is a fitness studio with a few locations and I happen to have a location in Laguna Niguel in…read morethe same plaza as Whole Foods. I had meetings in the area so I used my classpass app to book a Barre3 class. When I arrived to the studio, their front desk and day care staff were both waiting outside since one of them had forgotten their key. We were unable to get into the studio until the instructor came in. This means less time to settle in before class. Per the first timer usual, there was a waiver to sign for the studio. This waiver was on paper and lengthier than standard. I prefer the more efficient digital waivers and it would be more efficient to fill this out prior to class, like other studios on classpass can do. They have lockers but I'm not a fan on the size of their lockers. It was tall but not wide. Not good for fitting my purse. I had to rearrange my belongings. For all the parents out here, you would love that they have a child care area which services you can reserve ahead of time. I don't have kids so I don't care too much for this feature. Also their parents had to take them to the restrooms before class started so I was unable to use the restroom before class. The studio was cutely decorated. These extra touches... I also don't care too much for but I imagine some folks enjoy it. I like that the studio space was wide at first but upon entering the studio I immediately felt the graininess of their floor. It was a cork like tile that might be old or not placed down well to begin with because you can feel the transition between tiles. Not smooth like the wood flooring or carpet. Also my feet were clean when I came in but all dirty upon my exit. Our instructor for the class was Jessica and she was nice, positive spirited, high energy throughout the class. She kept shouting out instructions and motivating us throughout class. Props to her for being able to speak the whole time while mostly doing the work out with us also. Unfortunately I didn't feel like the work out was intense enough. The Barre3 classes combine barre, pilates and yoga concepts but most of their classes are 45 minute formats with a few 60 minute classes. The 45 minute class was not intense enough for me and I felt like a lot of that time was the warm up and end of work out stretch. The one nice thing is that after class Jessica asked us to set aside our equipment to the front and that the studio would take care of cleaning it. That saved me a bit of time to finally be able to use the restroom and run off to my next meeting for the day. Even if Barre3 was more local to me, I would still choose other work outs over this one.

Michelle's energy is also so wonderful and contagious, she greets you and your little with a big welcoming smile, immediately wiping away the remnants of a stressful day or adding to a great one! During the workout kids are allowed to run around the studio that's completely kid proofed and also play with toys she sets out! She's encouraging of your form during the workout which makes me feel like I am on track to building any sort of tone and muscle in this soft, newish mom bod of mine. I can't wait until more studios can add mom and me classes and if you're looking for a great example of one check out Laguna Barre!

The workouts are HARD and I feel like they hit muscle groups you really wouldn't focus on or think about. I like incorporating different workouts like this to keep things challenging and well rounded. Anyways yeah 10/10 recommend you try it.
