Throughout the tour, she let us enjoy our time and worked to educate us about the area and the various species we saw. They close at 2pm and will not check their emails until the next day. I was told this over the phone by their staff. They said they will try to update the site to say this (who knows how long that will take). I made a reservation the day prior at 6pm for a morning dive at 8:30am. I have made many evening reservations before at other dive centers, and I have never had a problem. I received a confirmation email with instructions to show up at 8am for the dive. Unfortunately, no one showed up. I waited until 9:30am and did not see a soul. I ultimately received an apologetic phone call at 10:30am where the employee subsequently informed me of the 2pm rule. I am sure this dive center gives amazing dives. However, it is a shame that such a great dive shop has such a misleading platform that lets you reserve a dive that may not be available. I sincerely hope this review helps them add a line on their website that warns users from reserving dives after they close at 2pm.

Hopefully they can put signage on their car-- would be easier to spot them and good advertisement among their competitors. It was definitely the highlight of our stay in Rincon. Jean was super knowledgeable and explained things in a way we could understand. The water and scenery was GORGEOUS. She also gave us more tips about where to go and what to do in PR that have been awesome. We will definitely be back soon to take more sailing lessons with Rincon Sailing!!

They pointed out many wonderful things apart from the many beautiful sharks, like a large sea turtle, baracutas, lobsters, huge crabs, eels, and we saw huge schools of fish and coral. Great visibility today. They also sent us a lovely video of the dive afterward! The only challenging part for me is that both my husband and I apparently get really sick on small fishing boats so I recommend being prepared and taking Dramamine (or alternative) long enough before your dive, even if you haven't been seasick in 10 years (me), and are on the fence as to whether or not to prepare in this way. Take the Dramamine. We will be more prepared next time. We are looking forward to booking with Island Scuba again. Very wonderful once-in-a -lifetime experience. I hope this review helps you prepare and that you choose to have this wonderful experience for yourself.

We took their advice after asking about nearby snorkeling locations and were blown away. The flat rocks and reef right off the coast attract all sort of different sea life and as result, this quickly became over favorite snorkeling spot we found on our trip. It really feels as clear as it can get. The feeling of watching hundreds of beautiful and blue fish glide beneath you while you're effortlessly floating along the warm saltwater is like no other. This beach is extremely chill and low key. Parking is super simple as people just park where they can along the side of the very long dirt road that leads down to the beach. You're basically behind the backyards of a long row of houses that line the beach so everyone is mindful of the neighbors. As with many of the beaches in Puerto Pico, the jetty corners of the beach curiously invite you to take a peak around them. One fella set up an entire hammock within a large tree and even started a small campfire. No one seemed to mind, again it was all very chill. The beach gets its name from this set particular of steps (stairs?) that jet out from the water. It must have been from a previous dock or structure that was originally there and it makes for a really and unique cool setting. There is also a swing set that is a popular photo spot on social media but I could not manage to get up up on it (seems like it's easier to do during low-tide). We did however to capture some pretty fun photos of different angles all around the beach. So if you find yourself on the west side of the island and want to experience some phenomenal snorkeling, you've got to find this spot!
