Nothing but great things to say about Mike King and the entire staff I interacted with at this office. I hope my review gives hope to anyone struggling with vertigo and is thinking about trying physical therapy. I had extreme vertigo for over a year, and I didn't know what was going on with me. It got to the point where I didn't feel like myself, and it prevented me from doing my regular daily activities. I would get dizzy every day, especially while driving, and it would trigger panic attacks. I had lab work done which ruled out any vitamin deficiency. I thought I would never feel normal again. Finally, another review on here led me to scheduling an appointment with Mike. It took a month to get in as a new patient, but I waited and I'm glad I did. He listened to my situation so patiently and with genuine compassion. He knew exactly what I was experiencing and exactly how to fix it. In one appointment he tested and treated my vertigo with the Eppley maneuver (which I was doing wrong at home by myself.) I had a few more visits with him to treat the residual effects the long term vertigo had on my body. I'm extremely grateful to have my life back, and I would highly recommend this office for your physical therapy needs. I'd like to add that his front office staff was kind and professional. I saw Mike for extreme vertigo. I was unsure if he could help me but my nurse practitioner highly recommended him so I gave it a try. I was able to get in to see him immediately which I was so appreciative of. I knew what my benefits would cover before I was taken back. He did a thorough assessment of what was going on with me. After, he did a maneuver to put the crystals back in place in my ears. I can not describe how awful I felt pre-maneuver. I was unable to turn my head in certain directions without the room flipping, nausea, tracking issues with my eyes, a foggy brain. He treated each ear and I was immediately able to move freely without spinning. It took a few days for the other symptoms to calm down but I walked out of the office after one appointment with 80% relief. Mike did an amazing job walking me step by step through the appointment and maneuver. I returned a few days later for a second appointment. He repeated the maneuver again and I had no negative reaction. I was so happy! In less than a week, I have recovered from my experience with vertigo. Mike was amazing to work with and let me know they are there for me in the future if my vertigo returns. I was in a high speed motorcycle accident - I dislocated my shoulder, had a severe break in my humerus, and a broken ankle. Surgery was required to put a plate and pins in my arm to put it back together. Fast forward to meeting Ryan at Desert Edge. When I began, I literally couldn't lift my right arm. Ryan wanted to know what my goal was, I told him I wanted to be where I was pre-accident. I now have full mobility back! First and foremost, Ryan's concern was to improve my mobility and strength, while still allowing my humerus time to heal. He wanted to help me reach my goal. I'm new to the area and needed to get some physical therapy. I checked Yelp for recommendations and I just want to say that I'm so thankful I checked this source. I read reviews for Desert Edge and can only say that I agree with everything that was written there. Ryan was my treatment provider and I had the utmost confidence as his knowledge and skill seemed very apparent. I particularly was thankful that he was a good listener and readily integrated the information from my past issues with what was going on currently to provide a spot on treatment for my condition. I also really appreciated how well all the staff worked with me during my course of treatment including Tanner and Heidi. Desert Edge is a smaller facility with staff who really care about clients and they go the extra mile to make sure all your concerns are met. Great service and wonderful support staff. Flexible and professional but also just as nice as can be! I needed an appointment last minute as a referral from my physician at the end of a business day- with no hesitation they told me to come on over and they would be sure to wiggle me into the schedule. Heidi was right on top of things when I showed up and got my information to make sure my insurance would be billed. Although they seemed busy, Mike was attentive and thorough and I never felt rushed. After my assessment he was able to adjust what was needed in office and provided techniques and exercises for continued home treatment not only for what I came in for, but also for a question I snuck in about another issue I was having with my shoulder. Heidi made sure I was in the schedule for a follow up but assured me if my issues resolved I would cancel with no penalty which was very generous. Great office with exceptional staff. read more

The entire staff at Desert Edge are by far the best physical therapists with whom I have ever worked. Ali was professional, thorough, curious, patient and provided excellent therapy for my ankle and foot; as well as teaching me how to strengthen my muscles. I had a traumatic fx 22 years ago in my right ankle with orif 10 weeks later after the bone failed to heal. A fall while hiking in 2020 caused the hardware to loosen and also resulted in excruciating nerve pain in my right big toe, arch and ankle. After several specialists advised me that the only way to recover was surgery, injections and medication; I found Desert Edge Therapy. Mike King and his team of healthcare professionals have been caring and knowledgeable with each injury I've had. They've been able to improve mobility, relieve pain and restore function in both my knee and shoulder. The atmosphere in the clinic is happy and positive which I believe reflects that of Mike and his team. No person gets "excited" about working on an injury, but they're always focused on the patient's form while doing the exercise so pain is not a real issue. AMAZING RESULTS! After two knee replacements and some very inadequate physical therapy, I found Mike King. What a god-send! Through his professional care, my strength, balance and agility increased immeasurably. He was terrific both at diagnosing problems and creating targeted activities and treatments. In addition, I had spent my entire life with legs that were just not straight. (I was always tilted forwards.) Mike was able to measure both legs and determine the degree they were off alignment and work with me to straighten them. I didn't think that was possible. I have been referred to at least 8 physical therapy practices in this valley over the last 9 years for various rehabilitation. I guarantee you that this is the BEST in this valley. They not only are a complete practice treating all medical situations for rehabilitation but they are a class act treating the WHOLE patient. They truly care about the person and listen to you when you are there and are readily available to help with just a phone call for questions and or concerns. This practice is a class act. Mike King and current staff is professional and very knowledgeable. I had a knee surgery this year. I went to Desert Edge before my surgery for a month to get my knee ready for the surgery. To be at it's best. Then I did 6 weeks after my surgery. I was back to teaching water aerobics at 3 weeks post surgery. Mike's expertise made all the difference.
