This Mom and Pop company has reasonable prices, and a great selection of material for your floor. They put in my new bathroom floor, baseboards and caulking superbly. These folks are super friendly and go the extra mile! Very skilled in jobs beyond flooring. As long as they had to remove the toilet before putting in the new floor, they suggested I replace my 40 year old water guzzling toilet with a new water-saving toilet so I said "Do it." They went to Home Depot and picked out a good medium priced one and installed it. I am very pleased. I highly recommend this company. read more

I talked to John, nice guy and was very helpful and had great communication and was upfront with all costs. We used to use another carpet company, but the owner retired, then used another local store and was not happy with the service and product. This time we gave John a try to install some new carpet in one of our rental properties. All we can say is, they did a fantastic job and they finished a couple days earlier then expected. Heather the part owner so unprofessional and rude. Installers are late for more than 3 hours because their truck broken for some reason, Heather soon as I pick up my phone she was yelling and giving me attitude instead of being sorry, she even advice me to get and pick up a towing for the installers. Even my nephews was so surprise for her attitude over the phone. Meanwhile, Heathers husband whose suppose to be the owner so cool and calm and even sorry for her wife's behavior. Giving them one star for the owner and installer (Victor and 2 helpers) for a great job, but because Heather is working with them they have lost my trust and business for not even thingking them to do my whole house change to wooden floor. Paid them in cash cause I feel bad for the installers for they really work so hard to finish the job Was also promise that would be left with cleaning kit, but ask Victor and said they didn't left anything so will have to follow up if Heather would even bother to even give it, will let you know guys for sure! read more

I can not recommend this company. I was a repeat customer and will not return again. I purchased new carpet and padding for a 3000 square foot home. During the installation one of the installers broke the wheel on the sliding closet door. No big deal except for the fact that Desert Flooring refused to pay for the repair. First they claimed they didn't break it, but since the broken pieces were laying on top of the new carpet, not thrown outside with the old carpet and padding they eventually admitted they must have broke it. Then the owner John pulled out the contract and showed me where they are not responsible if they break anything. I told John if he didn't pay for the repair I would stand outside his place of business with a picket sign. So John paid for the repair. The total repair cost of the closet door was only $121.00, sure was a lot of stress for such a little amount of money. read more

Horrible company, horrible owners, horrible customer service. Please avoid! We have dealt with many companies during our remodeling projects and this company is by far the worst. The workers left our carpet install because moving out furniture( as we had agreed) was a liability. We told them we didn't have ikea furniture and I don't have massive unusual furniture either. We even said we'd help move, we'd sign a liability waiver and we'd pay more money if that was the issue. They didn't care and left out job and put us in such a bad place. When I called the owners they said well sorry, God speed and hung up on me. An embarrassment to the high desert. Go to Best Buy flooring( their neighbors and competitors) they will treat you right. I will be doing everything I can to make sure anyone who hears about this business avoids them. They should no Longer be in business. read more

Having just moved to Apple Valley we needed someone to replace the existing laminate flooring with tile, all 1450 sq ft, before we moved in. I contacted John at Desert Flooring and he gave me a quote that was unbeatable from the outset. His team started within 4 days which was perfect for us. Underneath the laminate they found vynil which they also removed (Quality tilers, No shortcuts). I hired them to install Laminated Flooring in my house, the owner charged more than 5.00 dollars sq f including laminate and installation, it was expensive , just because he promised to be installed asap I decided to pay. The contractor was kind of rude, complaining about moving the furniture (everthing was included in the contract) He was late 3 hours everyday, and when I called John to ask why they were late , he didn't help that much, first he was kind but once I paid the deposit and agreed to pay cod he didn't pay attention. I was very dissapointed with the service, they were messy, John told me they will fix a hole vinyl had, before putting the laminate, but the contractors didn't, fix anything that was said, they even didn't tape underlayment completly, just in some parts , they didn;t clean the dust before putting it, they were careless when moving my furniture, they were using my restroom without asking. the pillows of my sofa they just dumped on the duty floor, the contractor said he has 40 years doing this, I don't know if was always like this, but I was hopping a profesional service for the money I paid, I must say that the two helpers were nice, but the old man was rude.
