I had no idea this place existed until my Orthodox friend mentioned about it. Since I had an…read moreamazing experience visiting several Orthodox monasteries overseas, I was interested in visiting one in the U.S. Visitor hours are from 10:30am to 2:30pm everyday. Dress code is strictly enforced. If you do not have one, they will ask you wear one of their clothes. I heard monks speak English, that's when I remember I was in the United States, not overseas somewhere. That's how this place made me feel, I felt like I was visiting a foreign country. It's beautiful inside and outside. I recommend visiting in a cooler month. I was pretty hot walking outside in a long dress and scarf around my hair. Feeling I get once I stepped inside was something I cannot describe. I went with a group of friends but I think I want to go alone next time to fully feel what this place has to offer.

Who would have known that there was a beautiful Greek Monastery in the middle of the desert? Not…read moreme! So glad I was told about St Anthony Orthodox Monastery as being worthy of a visit! They were spot on in their recommendation and I need to thank them again for making it! We came in for a walking tour of the wonderful monastery grounds and left with a sense of peace and tranquility we didn't have when we arrived. We were greeted at the main entrance outside the bookstore and given directions as well as assistance with our wardrobe where we were somewhat lacking compliance. Note to self and others: fitted leggings under a skirt or dress that doesn't come down to the ankles still isn't sufficient. There were several areas under construction so some of the fountains were not running. It's not quite harvest time so the citrus trees were covered with bird netting. Since it's fall-ish weather some of the plants are in transition from their glorious summer splendor. The intricate details of the church and chapels are absolutely impressive! Some of the paintings are peeling a bit but the majority of them are in amazing condition. The wood inlays and masonry work were unbelievable! Many of the items were shipped here from Greece! Everywhere we went was buzzing with some type of activity or another with several guests coming for prayer too. We tried to follow the highlighted route as close as possible but got a little turned around when we walked around one of the chapels to see the exterior in full. We highly recommend a visit to this incredible desert oasis!

I've been to 3 churches in the area and the speakers here are the best! Meaning, they're not…read moreboring, they have relatable stories, they touch the heart, make you laugh, are more real, not so preachy, with realistic messages. It doesn't feel like a dry history class. Some of the music/worship would be nice to mix in more upbeat songs, with engaging lighting and visual effects to not be so serious every time. Examples of what would be nice to hear for songs/worship. Newsboys, Jelly Roll: Never Alone, Mercy Me: I Can Only Imagine, Sing (Like You've Already Won). But, the delivery of the message/sermon, is my priority for choosing this church. They also have coffee before the services.

During our visit, an incident occurred involving my son-in-law and granddaughter in the restroom facilities, which led to a public confrontation with church leadership. We were deeply hurt and disappointed by the way the situation was handled, and felt dismissed and unwelcome by the church's response. While we understand the church's policies, the lack of compassion and understanding shown in that moment, and in the subsequent communication, was disheartening. We believe that a truly Christ-like response would prioritize grace, empathy, and seeking to understand, especially when dealing with families and children. Our prayer is that LifePoint Church will reflect on this experience and consider how to better demonstrate the love and welcoming spirit of Christ to all who walk through its doors. We pray for wisdom and discernment for the leadership as they navigate these situations in the future." -I do predict a response with blame shifting, lying and gaslighting as I see in prior responses.

The one thing that I love about Family of Faith Fellowship is that it is easy to get involved in ministries. . There is always something going on like a communion feast, a bible study, a prayer meeting. It is very easy to meet people. It is a small church which has a big heart for Jesus. This is a small church, and they make you feel like you are family. Once you start going consistently you will see familiar faces and it becomes a home very quickly. Pastor David is such a great speaker and he is very easy to relate to. He jokes around and makes you laugh. He greets you with a handshake and smile. I always feel welcome. He teaches me things I can apply to my work and home. He provides references that you connect with. Which I feel is important. The Bible is presented in a way that you can think I totally get that." or " I can relate to that." I have been attending this church since I moved to the Queen Creek area, in August of 2022. The…read morechurch team is very friendly, inviting, and there is something for everyone here. They recently expanded on the property with their new building, as attendance has continued to increase. I think people get the wrong idea about a church when part of the message includes tithing, which reveals the true believers from the posers, as we are to give with an open heart. Even though it is a recurring message here at this church, they are never hostile or pushy about it. The new building was funded through the church, a body of believers, and was navigated through much economic turmoil, i.e. banks rejecting loans or attending church-goers' giving being reduced for any number of reasons. I think that says a lot about God's power and how his Holy Spirit is working at this church. There have been many victories along the way! It is BY FAR one of the most alive churches I have had the privilege of being a part of, even though I am not currently in a serving role. For me, one of the most uplifting parts to my soul is hearing biblically based songs being sung by the church, young and old alike, and feeling the Holy Spirit pull me closer to God with every word that I sing. Give this church a chance. You won't regret it!
