I was very pleased and quite shocked to see that this church is very old school. It reminds me of the church I went to when I was a kid growing up in Hawaii. The pews all face forward, and they have the good ole missals and songbooks like back in the days! There are no screens up front with the showing the day's readings. It's very traditional here, and I love it! The priest is very welcoming and I like that I can attend the afternoon Saturday mass whenever I'm in town. It's a lot quieter with way less people than on Sundays. Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church is a keeper in my book. It brings me back to my childhood and the nostalgia of those days that are now fond memories. I'm glad I have found a place to call home when in Arizona!

From the…read morebreathtaking churches and beautiful icons to the meticulously landscaped acres of peaceful grounds, every part of the monastery is absolutely stunning and serene. One of the most surreal and meaningful experiences was visiting the tomb of Agios Ephraim and having the opportunity to pray next to him. It was incredibly moving and something I'll never forget. Be sure to plan ahead for the dress code. Men must wear long pants, long-sleeve shirts, and fully covered feet. Women should wear a head scarf covering their hair, long skirts or dresses, long sleeves, and nothing too tight or form-fitting. If you don't have the appropriate clothing, the monastery has garments available to borrow, which is very helpful. The grounds are gorgeous, and there are so many special touches throughout the property. Be sure to stop for a refreshing Greek vegan freddo cappuccino and their fresh ginger lemonade! The monastery store also has beautiful icons, along with freshly picked and dried fruits and nuts from the trees grown right on the property. A truly peaceful, beautiful, and unforgettable experience. If you're in Arizona, this is absolutely worth visiting.

Since I had an…read moreamazing experience visiting several Orthodox monasteries overseas, I was interested in visiting one in the U.S. Visitor hours are from 10:30am to 2:30pm everyday. Dress code is strictly enforced. If you do not have one, they will ask you wear one of their clothes. I heard monks speak English, that's when I remember I was in the United States, not overseas somewhere. That's how this place made me feel, I felt like I was visiting a foreign country. It's beautiful inside and outside. I recommend visiting in a cooler month. I was pretty hot walking outside in a long dress and scarf around my hair. Feeling I get once I stepped inside was something I cannot describe. I went with a group of friends but I think I want to go alone next time to fully feel what this place has to offer.

They have no family bathroom so he took her to the womens to avoid her seeing something she shouldn't at the urinals in the mens. As soon as he walked out he was being point at by the staff and then in service we were being pointed at and talked about. Then in the middle of service Mike Shamburg approached my husband and says "Take her to the mens next time" my husband said no she is a little girl and doesn't belong in the mens room. We tried to discuss this with them and were just laughed at by Mike. This was our first and obviously last sunday there. This church is horrible. Its also so hot in there you will be miserable. My entire family including my 8 month old were drenched in sweat. And it's definitely not non denominational. More Pentecostal than anything

The one thing that I love about Family of Faith Fellowship is that it is easy to get involved in ministries. . There is always something going on like a communion feast, a bible study, a prayer meeting. It is very easy to meet people. It is a small church which has a big heart for Jesus. They have a variety of music to sing. I enjoy praise and worship time. Sometimes I hear small kids singing along. The Sunday worship is very powerful. Pastor David teaches and shares the Gospel. This is a small church, and they make you feel like you are family. Once you start going consistently you will see familiar faces and it becomes a home very quickly. Pastor David is such a great speaker and he is very easy to relate to. He jokes around and makes you laugh. He greets you with a handshake and smile. I always feel welcome. He teaches me things I can apply to my work and home. He provides references that you connect with. Which I feel is important. The Bible is presented in a way that you can think I totally get that." or " I can relate to that." You always feel that there is something that you can relate to and that he is speaking to you specifically. He's a great man that cares about helping people. . This is a fun church. There is a ministry that you can be involved in. There are a variety of ages of people that attend. They have Sunday school classes as well as bible study. This is a great community and family. I have been attending this church since I moved to the Queen Creek area, in August of 2022. The…read morechurch team is very friendly, inviting, and there is something for everyone here. They recently expanded on the property with their new building, as attendance has continued to increase. I think people get the wrong idea about a church when part of the message includes tithing, which reveals the true believers from the posers, as we are to give with an open heart. Even though it is a recurring message here at this church, they are never hostile or pushy about it. The new building was funded through the church, a body of believers, and was navigated through much economic turmoil, i.e. banks rejecting loans or attending church-goers' giving being reduced for any number of reasons. I think that says a lot about God's power and how his Holy Spirit is working at this church. There have been many victories along the way! It is BY FAR one of the most alive churches I have had the privilege of being a part of, even though I am not currently in a serving role. For me, one of the most uplifting parts to my soul is hearing biblically based songs being sung by the church, young and old alike, and feeling the Holy Spirit pull me closer to God with every word that I sing. Pastor Bill Carney preaches God's Word, and the Gospel of Jesus is present in today's language. Both full-time members and winter visitors sing traditional hymns with great gusto and joy. When you've worshipped the Lord here, you know God has blessed you spiritually and socially.
