When I call about the probIem the person assured me that all the fans were working and that I must have done something to jar them loose and the case was already like that, however he would look at it if i brought it back. When I brought it another person had to add extra wire to get 8 of the 9 fans to work and never did get the last one to work, he said it much have gone out also he never did fix the case. When I got it home the processor and motherboard were still overheating, when I looked in the computer there was a different heatsink device with a fan on the processor that wasn't the original one I had before I brought it in. I called back and talked to the guy that fixed my fans, I told him that only the processor and motherboard are overheating, he told me that I must have done something and he only replaced the fan part on the heatsink device and refused to take responsibility with the overheating. Now i'm out $500 and my processor/motherboard are red lining, I'm going to have to take it in somewhere to find out just what all they messed up. I've also filed a complain with the BBB. Go anywhere else but here!

What to say about this place? It is a large building with a small snack bar and a large parking…read morelot. They had all of the items up for auction laying out for display on tables and aligning the walls. I assume they had a method to their madness, but I really couldn't figure it out. I also took my own hand sanitizer because those places weird me out. They did list a few of the items on their website, but not in great detail. When the auction started, it was a bit odd. They had 3 item handlers that held up the random items for people to see what was being bid on at the time. What made it odd was that most of the time they had 3 separate items that had no relation to each others item to bid on as a base price. Then the winning bidder got to pick all or just one of the items. The winning bid amount is what they will sell the other items as or they will drop the price even more for the other items until someone accepts an amount. They only had a reserve on a couple items that were up for auction. They did announce that a head of time to let everyone know there was going to be a reserve or a set amount they had to get out of the item before they would sell it. Some of the things went super high, others went really cheap. I guess that is like most auctions. The crowd was also filled with lots of regulars who liked to stare. Needless to say, I won't be going back, but it was a passed some time.

I didn't try the food and most of the people seem friendly (albeit a little judgmental, but who isn't I guess), but purely from a buyer's perspective, the auction itself is confusing and if you are a buyer, you need to pay very close attention. I go to a lot of auctions and I would need to go here at least 3 or 4 times to get comfortable with their style of selling. I sat back and watched for the first few minutes and what I thought were good deals turned out to be not so great. For example, I purchased some comic books and instead of selling them all (about 20 total) in one stack (as they were displayed on the table), the person up front randomly broke them up into 3 stacks and they were auctioned off as "choice, per stack." So the winning bid got to pick 1 stack, or pay 3 times the money for all of them. Most other items were auctioned off the same way. A person up front would hold up a box of items or handful of items and the bidding would just start. Then at the end they'd ask you how many items you wanted and charge you multiple times the final bid. So to wrap it up, just be careful if/when you start bidding. Not a bad way to kill some time, but I won't be going back anytime soon. For a buyer and re-seller, they make it difficult to get a good deal. As of this writing, they also charge a 10% buyer's premium. They don't say anything about this on AuctionZip, so be aware of this if it's your first time.

Walking through the mostly abandoned Richmond Mall on the way to the driver's license office feels…read morelike stepping into a time capsule that never quite got sealed. The air is faintly cool and carries that unmistakable, slightly dusty mall scent--a blend of tile cleaner, food court grease, and decades of hair spray and nail polish remover (worth noting, two of the remaining stores are a nail salon and what I believe was a former Regis Salon... the staple mall salon of the 90's where Gen X and Millennials were traumatized with the experience of horrible high school dance hair do's that remained plastered to your head for days due to all the hair spray). The wide tiled corridors stretch out, eerily quiet and nostalgically peach colored, but your mind almost fills them with echoes: teenagers in acid-wash jeans, jangly bracelets, and oversized sweaters clustering at Aladdin's Castle; you almost crave the thrum of a fountain and the squeak of white sneakers on polished tile remains. (Today I coincidentally wore white Bobs sneakers, an unintended homage to 25 years ago when I would have been in Keds!) The faded pastel walls and neon trim still reflect the 1980s--mint greens, peachy pinks, and geometric accents that wouldn't feel out of place in the opening credits of Saved by the Bell. You half expect Zack Morris to lean against a payphone or Kelly Kapowski to walk past clutching a brightly colored oversized shopping bag. Every shuttered storefront seems to hold a memory of when the mall was the center of social life--Friday night hangouts, first dates, prom dress shopping, families crowding in line for Orange Julius. Ironically, the current stores and businesses are primarily bridal or formal wear or what appears to be a fairly popular community church. I do have to comment on the crazy collision and juxtaposition of two quintessentially American social constructs - the hip non-denominational church and the former temple of commercial consumerism. A quick search describes the church as a friendly and service-based community and I will admit that I find a strange sense of positive harmony in their use of this space. Despite the eerily abandoned and run down exterior, the interior of the mall was immaculately clean and while the Drivers Bureau could have had better signage and directions (you have to squander some faith when entering the mall at the direction of your GPS), I applaud our government for their use of this space. A short walk into the heart of the former mall finds a well-staffed office and a digital check in system that was highly efficient and ran promptly on time. The whole experience was more than a little surreal: a bureaucratic errand tucked inside the skeleton of America's mall culture, where the décor and the emptiness are both creepy and nostalgic. Outside of the drivers license bureau, there are very few stores. Most seem to be local stores (I didn't recognize any chains) and while it is not your typical mall experience, i think it was a great nostalgic adventure to an era that was the center of culture in a way that no longer exists.
