What went well? Everything! And then some. I went in for back spasms-from coughing so deeply-take your cough suppressants if you ever have a deep lung infection. The most painful thing I've endured in my 70+ years. Askat was my ideal-he explained the techniques, the science or mystery behind the art, which I really appreciated. Great "bedside" manner, a very wry wit, a very comfortable table and space, and mostly importantly, EFFECTIVE. I have used Accupuncture for a long time, mostly as a prophylaxis, and Askat used several methods that transformed me from a mess to a functional being. And then I was beset with an GI issue that arose in the meantime. He treated me for it while dealing with the back issue. I went to ER at the urging of too many people the same day. Their tests revealed I was quite healthy but they could not explain my issue. The day after his treatment and my ER visit, I got up without any issues and have remained that way. I couldn't explain why I was "cured" as ER gave me nothing. When I returned for another back treatment and then recalled his treating my GI. Epiphany! The soothing environment and heated table really helped me melt into this massage. Askat's technique is remarkable and I was surprised how quickly he coaxed all of my tight trouble spots to release. I am a professional dog trainer and work with super active dogs every day of my life. I had developed a severe case of tendinitis in the left arm (my leash arm) and it lingered for months, slowly getting worse and worse. I found myself on vacation in Palm Springs for two weeks to try and let it rest but the pain remained very bad. That's when I found Askat and Desert wellness clinic. I had never had acupuncture in my life and was a bit skeptical. But I was in great pain, barely able to twist a doorknob and had nothing to lose. This is a little miraculous but after three acupuncture treatments the level of relief and healing in my arm is way more than I could've hoped for. I started with Askat for shoulder pain and within 6 sessions of acupuncture I was feeling a lot less pain in my shoulder. A few more sessions and the pain was gone completely. Having used acupunture in the past I know it is not always an overnight cure and it can take me a number of sessions to see relief. Askat is very welcoming, and is passionate about what he does. My name is David, i was referred to another Acupuncture Clinic but cost made me have to research the local area clinic's. All clinic's i called work monday-friday 9 to 5. I left a message with Desert Wellness Clinic on Palm Canyon, I stated to call me after 7pm when I'm home. In my research, Desert Wellness Clinic was almost 1/2 the cost of other Acupuncture Clinic's. I moved to Palm Springs last October and was looking for a great acupuncturist and truly found one with Askat. I had a tia stroke six years ago, causing vertigo and dizziness with Meniere's, tinnitus and silent/complex migraines. I know I need acupuncture as part of my life health package as it makes such an incredible difference for me so I was on a search in Palm Springs.
