I was skeptical when I first visited that they could help with my Trigeminal Neuralgia. Other than drugs not much have worked. Trigeminal Neuralgia is a condition that causes great facial pain which comes and goes. The pain is so intense that eating is almost impossible. Brushing your teeth is out of the question. I have sciatic pain that I can usually deal with through heat, massage and hot yoga. It usually takes a couple days, but this time around it was lingering for nearly 13 days before I gave up and decided to find another solution. The pain made it difficult to sit, stand and generally function. I'm in town for 6 weeks so read some reviews and knew I wanted a no frills acupuncturist. I wasn't interested in infusions or other fancy services and this spot was exactly what I expected. Simple, basic, knowledgeable and once I shared what my concerns were, I was led to a treatment room. A few needles and I started to feel immediate relief. I sat with the needles and received heat treatment and about 30 min later felt fantastic. The day after there is some lingering ache, but I'm definitely on the mend and back to walking and sitting and generally feeling better. I may head back next week for another session, but don't hesistate if you want straight forward acupunture. Plentiful parking. Wow! Had a very very bad trail fall that simple was not healing. Called and made an apt here that day. The first visit I was skeptical of everything as it a very traditional Chinese acupuncture. She got right into my bruises and was certainly sore the next day and then suddenly things started to lift. I went back once more and I think she officially healed everything. Will be back for sure. due to some neck, back and left arm issues, I went to get a treatmen. everything was great. had an appointment the next day with them. 3 hours before my appointment I had to go at the hospital for testing. first test did not came out good and they decided to keep me there for more testing. hôpital put me in blouse and I had all my personal belongings into a locker. I got home at 6pm that night and missed my appointment. my wife made a new appointment with them. upon checking in everything was fine. they brought me to the treatment room and they started to be extremely rude and disrespectful with me. after asking me why I did not come and after I gave them the reason, instead of being understanding about my situation like everyone would. they both went after me with disrespect. it was so bad that I had the get up in pain and leave without treatment. read more

This is one place to be avoided. I went there recently to have acupuncture to relieve sciatic pain. The acupuncturist did absolutely nothing to releive the pain. She also put suction cups on me, one at the base of my spine and another behind my knee. After a while she showed me what appeared to be blood on tissue paper and said I had a blood clot.!!! In the end I left. She quoted me $80 on the phone but charged me $100 read more

Let me start by saying I had been in pain for 6 months prior to visiting Dr. Kong at Ty Healing Center. The low down: I went in on Sunday later in the afternoon and I was greeted at the front desk by a nice young lady asking if I was looking for a massage. I kindly declined and mentioned I was curious about Acupuncture as I have heard a lot about it but I was not sure I was fully interested. At this time the young lady got on the phone and called Dr Kong (I had no idea it was her day off and I felt bad later after realizing she was called in on her day off.) Dr. Kong arrived about 10 or 15 minutes later and took me into one of the rooms. She did a full evaluation on me asking where the pain was located and what steps I had taken in the past. - Full disclosure: I have had lower back pain since October. The pain started in the bottoms of my feet and has slowly spread to my right hip and lower back. The pain was so bad I was taking vicodin, ib profin, and flexorall. The combination of the pills still did not take the pain away. I have even received two epidural injections to decrease the pain. Needless to say I was willing to try anything. After getting all of her diagnostics together the Dr. proceeded to put 3 needles in my left hand, 2 needles in my face, and two in my right foot... PAIN WAS GONE!!! She had me walk up and down the hallway for a few minutes then she had me go up and down the stairs. I was pleasantly surprised to be walking and moving pain free. I highly recommend Ty Healing Center and especially Dr. Kong for all Acupuncture needs. If you want a traditional Thai massage where there are rails on the ceilings and they're not afraid to use them then you found your spot. I have found my new Dr. About a month ago I was pretty much immobilized by a horrible neck pain.I went to urgent care they gave me a shot and some pain meds and muscle relaxers and sent me on my way.None of this helped my Mom who swears by Dr Sharon recommended I go I was skeptical that anything other than a miracle would help but was desperate and went. I called two days ago (made my decision based on the majority of their reviews)and spoke to Sharon. I asked if they accepted insurance as they were listed on my covered providers list, but I wanted to do my due diligence and call to verify. She asked what kind of insurance I had so I told her and she said yes, they accept it. So I proceeded to make an appointment for this afternoon. She asked that I text her my drivers license and insurance card so that she can verify everything. So I texted it to her right away. I show up today for my appointment and she didn't have me down. I reminded her that I spoke to her two days ago and texted all my info. Then she proceeds to tell me that they don't accept my insurance. She had my information literally at the tip of her fingers and she couldn't have the common courtesy to call me back to let me know and instead she let me waste my time? If this was a tricky tactic to get me in hoping I'd say ok and pay cash, it didn't work. I am extremely annoyed and turned off at the way she handled this and I'm hoping my review will help someone else not waste their time (at least if they are trying to go through insurance). Since the reviews seemed very good I took my husband here a few months ago believing he would receive acupuncture for severe pain in his neck and shoulder. I have had acupuncture from a superbly qualified doctor and explained the procedure to him. Filled out a form and then he was asked to go into a tiny space with barely enough room for the massage table. The acupuncturist did not explain what she would be doing. I left the area and sat out front to wait. I heard my husband yell out, saying something I couldn't understand. The acupuncturist came out quickly and picked up husbands form ripping it up in my face and throwing it in the trash. She said angrily, "can't do"! That's it. She had decided to use suction cups on him without any explanation. The couple of areas where she used the cups was bleeding, did she ask if he was on blood thinners? Wouldn't recommend her and definitely won't go back. read more
