As a small business person myself, I live (and die) by service and what my son and I experienced with Todd and his highly competent staff WAS SERVICE in spades. From email communication, to text messages before our trip from, to our wonderful, warm and engaging driver/tour guide, Malcom, we simply could not have been happier with our private tour from Scottsdale to the Grand Canyon The adage, one gets what one pays for, rings true for Todd's Private Car Service. Personal, one-on-one service: (WAY) out of the way hotel pickup, anytime we wanted snack/bathroom stops, a seasoned veteran tour guide, fantastic (clean/spacious/comfortable) vehicle, amazing stories/factoids and more, all add up to a tremendous value for the dollar. Could we have spend less? Absolutely. So, let's do the math. Typical "small group" tour bus is $179/person, so we could have spent less and gotten less - less time @ the Grand Canyon, less one-on-one, etc. In that for most, this is a once (maybe twice) in a lifetime experience, the couple of hundred extra dollars is simply irrelevant vs the extra quality that Todd's Private Car Service can provide. My flight crew was picked up at the airport, taken to the hotel and on the ride to the hotel we were given the lay of the land. Where to eat, party, get cigars and all for a great price. Big problem was with the pick up at the airport, i called at 2 that afternoon to confirm he would be there. He confirmed he had all flight information and would track our flight. I requested the driver text me as to where he wanted to pick us up at, which door and side. He assured he would. Our flight showed up a few minutes early, never heard from driver so I called Scott(owner) no answer, left message and waited for baggage. Baggage arrived and called again, still no answer, left another message and headed outside, didn't see limo, called and sent text messages, no response until about an hour after first phone call when Scott finally answered the phone. Says he was sorry but they had a problem with the car and he has another that was at the airport and he could send it to pick me up. I asked why he didn't let me know prior to this point, no response. He asked where exactly we were and what I was wearing so driver would recognize me. Says he would be there within 5 minutes. Needless to say his limo never showed and I was able to get another one there. Nothing worse than unnecessary stress at the end of a trip because you hired the wrong limo service. Do yourself a favor and do not even think about giving this company a try.
