Zenith Engineers

I want to express our gratitude for Zenith Engineers Inc. prompt, professional, and outstanding…read moreservice throughout our remodeling project. From the very beginning, we were impressed with Senthil, Ryan and other members of Zenith team's level of professionalism, prompt response, architectural knowledge and effective communication. This level of service was seamless through our entire engagement with Zenith Engineers Inc., from obtaining the building permit to successfully passing all necessary inspections by the SF Building Department. No one questions their architectural work because they are so good at what they do. We had some initial concerns after reading negative reviews, but as the project progressed, it became clear that those comments were based on personal grievances, rather than valid concerns. The team at Zenith Engineers Inc. has a high level of professional ethics and integrity. Zenith's management team had explained to us early on in the project, the strict adherence to code and compliance was paramount throughout the project. If Zenith compromises to satisfy unsatisfied clients, the building will end up being non-compliant and more importantly unsafe. We truly appreciate Zenith's commitment to quality and integrity, even if it means earning a few negative reviews along the way, which seem rather unfair to them as they are simply doing their job. I am extremely satisfied with the professional and excellent work the team at Zenith Engineers Inc. provided us and will hire them in a heartbeat for all our future structural and/or seismic engineering needs. Thank you Senthil, Ryan and the Zenith engineering team for your professionalism and support. It was our best decision to work with you and experience such high standard of professionalism, work ethic, and integrity.

We started using Zenith because of its responsiveness and effectiveness when it came to structural design. With them as part of our team, we were able to keep up with the City submittal and response timelines we had set. Fast forward to today, and we can't get a hold of anyone. When we do, it's always an excuse for why they didn't respond, without a resolution. We sent them the last City comments 30 days ago and have yet to get anything viable to re-submit back to the city. Given that this is a 30-unit hotel project, going with a different firm now will mean a complete re-design of the project; an absolutely painful exercise that will set us back months. Zenith knows that. So it's absolutely shameful for them to act in a way that would even suggest that our only choice is to get the entire project re-designed by another firm just to have it keep moving forward. So much for "we respond to emails within 30 minutes and always answer phone calls" as outlined on one of their online profile. Knowing how we were treated on this round of City comments and the fact that the entire company seems complacent about what they try to embody in their rhetoric, I would stay away for any future project.

From start to finish, their team was professional, responsive, and genuinely committed to delivering good-quality results. Despite the recent city legalization challenges, they handled everything with transparency and expertise, keeping me informed throughout the entire process. Their knowledge of local regulations and attention to detail really set them apart and gave me peace of mind. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy design team, I highly recommend EAS Designers. I would absolutely work with them again and encourage others to do the same!

So I'm seeing cracks on my ceiling and they are starting to worry me…read more I checked Yelp and Nextdoor for some structural engineer recommendations. When I contacted them to get more information they responded timely. Made an appointment with them about a week and a half later. Arash came to the house and looked everywhere garage, outside, all the rooms. And thankfully he said there is no foundation concern. Took him I want to say about 40min to look everywhere. They are not cheap. My eyes almost popped out of my socket when I heard about their rate. But I want someone with experience to look at the house. Anyways, there is a little hiccup with the invoice but they reached back to me quickly to resolve it. The inspection cost is separate to the report fee. Just fyi. Nice people, happy to have found them.

After purchasing a new home…read moreand enduring my first winter, I was incredibly nervous to find significant water in my crawl space and cracks along the raised foundation. I initially signed a contract with Prostruct, but after Irvin reviewed my photos, he demonstrated a level of integrity that is rare to find. Instead of taking the job, he honestly informed me that my specific issues fell outside their scope. He took the time to explain what I was seeing, referred me to a geotechnical engineer who could actually solve the problem, and issued me a full refund. I greatly appreciated his transparency and professional guidance. I highly recommend Prostruct Engineering to anyone looking for an honest assessment--they clearly prioritize the customer's needs over their own bottom line.

Their team is very professional, responsive, and easy to work with. The plans were well-prepared and detailed, and the city approved them with minimal corrections, which really speaks about their quality and attention to detail. One of the projects was on a hillside property, where the foundation requirements were quite intense, but their team handled it seamlessly with well-thought-out and detailed designs. See pics. They always delivered on time and maintained excellent communication throughout the process, keeping me informed at every step. I highly recommend ProStruct Engineering to anyone looking for reliable and efficient structural design services! A special mention to Lokesh, who I worked with directly -- he was very responsive, understood my needs clearly, and made sure everything was addressed on time.

I didn't get a referral to Berlogar, I just saw Berlogar's sign while driving past in Pleasanton so…read moreI called them when other geotechnical engineers in Oakland told me they were too busy to come to Sunol. Frank Berlogar himself agreed to come to my home to evaluate a steep hillside above my home. He walked to the back of the house, looked around in about 10 minutes, and then told me I had to completely empty the "sedimentation basin" below the hillside. He said it would be about 50 truckloads of dirt. This is a grassy area with concrete walls. He then asked me to write a $1,000 check to a charity he supports. I was pretty surprised that, at most, 30 minutes of his time (including the 20 minute round-trip driving time from his office!) would justify $1,000. He gruffly replied that he's been doing this a long time and his time is worth it. I grudgingly wrote the check. So my first tip is to ask how much he plans to charge before he comes to your house. I didn't expect him to make a free site visit, but I thought it might be $200-300 at most. When my husband came home, I told him what Frank said and my husband had follow-up questions before the excavation company Frank recommended came out to give us an estimate. My husband called Frank and told him that it was not a sedimentation basin. It was actually just walls--there is no concrete bottom as the seller had told him that he put up concrete walls as he planned to put a swimming pool up there. So there was no bottom to the "basin" and my husband wanted to know to what depth we needed to dig. He wanted to be able to give proper instructions to the man Frank had recommended for the clean-up. Frank was gruff and rude, said "I can't answer this on the phone as you wouldn't understand me anyway..." My husband tried to clarify, "You already said it was about 50 truckloads, but how deep from the wall down should we dig?" Berlogar's initial assessment was too vague, just "empty out the basin" and we were trying to clarify with more specificity since there is no basin and thus no concrete bottom as an ending point. This wasn't a brand new request. Yet Berlogar would not answer without ANOTHER site visit where we would have to pay him again. My husband replied, "We already paid $1,000" but then Berlogar hung up on him. I was standing right next to my husband during this call and he never raised his voice. He was polite but firm, yet Berlogar still hung up on him. Seriously? I would expect better from a professional. Stay away.
