Finished Sink Installation By Abrew Repair & Construction
    David R.

I bought a new stainless steel sink along with a new garbage disposal because I wanted to upgrade the overall look of my kitchen. All of my kitchen appliances are stainless steel so I wanted my sink to match as well. My old white sink just didn't cut it and looked out of place. One of my best friends referred a contractor to me for the installation of my sink, garbage disposal and granite tile. I'll make a long story short, the contractor did a horrible job! First of all, he basically supervised and watched one of his workers install the sink and granite tile. He told me he couldn't do an undermounted sink because it would be to hard to install. He also told me he couldn't connect the dishwasher tube to the garbage disposal. The contractor said there has to be an air vent. I told him an air vent coming out of a sink is outdated. He told me an air vent is the only way to go. The contractor ended up drilling a huge hole in my new sink for the dishwasher air vent. The hole wasn't cut properly and looked horrible! When the other guy installed the granite it looked like crap! The granite was off level and looked very sloppy! They didn't even use the right grout material to glue down the granite tile. After the contractor and his friend finished the installation of my sink, I noticed several chips in the granite, off level granite, soft cocking that never hardened and pieces of tile missing towards the back of the sink! I decided to go with a Diamond Certified contractor. I should of went with someone more reputable and qualified in the first place. Of course your going to pay more but then again you get what you pay for. It's all about quality when it comes to getting work done on your home. I gave Kevin Abrew a call. I read a lot of good reviews about Kevin in my Diamond Certified Blue Handbook. I called and spoke to Shannon Abrew to set up a consultation. She was very nice and professional. Kevin came out the next day and took a look at my sink. He explained how he would fix my sink and give it a really nice clean look. A few days after I received a quote from Shannon through email. I scheduled the installation of my sink and granite tile a few weeks later. A contractor (Noel) who works for Kevin did the installation. He did an amazing job with the granite tile! The sink looks beautiful! Noel was able to connect the dishwasher tube to the garbage disposal. He installed a soap dispenser in place of the air vent. He even fixed the hole that was drilled in the sink. He also installed a black material piping for free which would prevent any water leaks in the future. Kevin stopped by once the job was completed and made sure everything was picture perfect. If you want quality, efficient and affordable work done to your home, I would definitely recommend Abrew Repair & Construction. I will definitely go through Kevin again when I decide to remodel my master bathroom. Thanks again Kevin for the easy going experience and great job!

I selected Felix because of the details of the quote that includes the prep work, paint used, number of coats applied and the warranty. They are also licensed and insured. That saves a lot of back and forth questions and answers between me and the contractor. Prep work & On time: Once I paid the deposit, the job was scheduled within 2 weeks (during Christmas/New Year season). The painters were polite and arrived on time. They are thorough with the prep work. The job was done in a bit over two days. Follow up: After the paint was done and final payment made, we noticed there were some touch up work needed. They provided update every day on when the painter could come and they came on time within couple days. Whereas I do have experience with other contractors when I could not find them for couple months to finish last 5% of the job. Headache free experience (project completed through text): They are impressive, reliable, the whole job was completed without a single phone call (only through text and online payment). Highly recommended if you want headache free painting experience.

This company painted my home a few years ago. Felix came out for the estimate and was very helpful,…read morethorough, and knowledgeable. We initially felt confident hiring him because he took the time to explain the scope of work in detail. Unfortunately, the actual work did not meet expectations. It seemed like the crew may have been stretched across multiple jobs, and I overheard a conversation in Spanish that two of the workers were hired "just for this job." That gave me some concern about the consistency and experience of the team assigned to our project. Several areas were also missed, including baseboards and doors. Since the colors were both white, it seemed like they may have assumed we would not notice. Felix did come by a few times to check on the project, but the interactions felt uncomfortable. When I pointed things out, it often seemed like he thought I was asking for extra work rather than asking for the original scope to be completed properly. The most disappointing issue was that paint was poured into our landscaping, which ended up killing two trees. Overall, Felix was great during the estimate process, but the execution and care during the project were not what we expected.

They came, they painted, and they cleaned up after themselves. There were no messy accidents or anything like that--just a clean, easy experience. Their pricing is competitive, and they provided courteous and prompt communication. I will definitely be using them for all my future painting needs! Here are a few notes for anyone looking to do this. There are some annoying aspects to painting your house that you don't normally think about: Temporary window restrictions: There might be windows you won't be able to open because they are taped and sealed for painting. This might affect your day-to-day routine for a day or two, but it's truly one of those things you don't miss until you can't open your window! Test your colors in different areas: Be sure to check your paint choice in various places--like the garage, side doors, side walls, and back walls. The changing light makes colors look completely different than they do on a tiny sample patch.
