If you are looking for kindness and warmth, this is not the place to go. I was a guest in their church, walked in the front doors and no one acknowledged me. I picked up an order of service and sat in the back row. No one greeted me at all. At the passing of peace the only person to shake my hand was the presiding minister. No one around me even acknowledged my presence. At the end of the service I walked out and no one said anything to me then either. I have found most Episcopal churches to be welcoming, however I have not found Grace Episcopal church to be warm, inviting or welcoming at all to newcomers and guests. I won't be back. I'll find another church.

After about a year, we decided to try it again. It was as though we had never left. That sealed the deal for us. Grace is a progressive congregation. It is truly welcoming to all. It is heavily involved in feeding ministries and social justice. The congregation feeds people weekly through Micah ministries and operates a food pantry several times per week. The rector has been widely recognized for her work on social justice issues. If you're looking for a church, this is definitely a place to check out. If you're unsure about religion, give it a try. You'll find a community that cares about you and celebrates you for the person you are.
