On a Saturday afternoon, our daughter's 2013 Ford Escape would not shift out of reverse when she stopped at a gas station in Brady on her way home to San Antonio. The tow truck delivered it to Destination Ford. We found that a recall might apply to the situation and called Destination Ford first thing Monday morning. The service manager's first concern was whether our daughter was stranded there in Brady. On finding all was ok there, he then committed to getting our car in line for service. Bought a car from this dealership a while back. As I was signing the paperwork they told me the AC on the car was out and they were working on it, 6 months later I spent $3600 replacing parts they said they fixed and when I called to see if it was still under a parts and labor warranty they said it was sold "As-Is" and it wasn't their problem anymore being that it worked when they brought it to me. Their delivery driver also had an open dip cup he left in the car after he gave me the keys. Feel more like a number than a person. The GM is a bit of a knob and was super disrespectful during my entire visit and purchase from them. The "warranty forever" is a nice touch but they really don't have great customer service so be aware. Their finance folks are a bit sleazy and manipulative too of course but that's a whole other review I don't want to write. read more

A few months ago, I realized that the car I bought from Destination Ford of Dumas was sold to me through fraud and intentional misrepresentation of the vehicle's value. I added proof of my claims to a server since they were claiming it was "hearsay" and the google drive links were not working for people. turohelper.com/proof-of-fraud This situation has caused me severe financial hardship, as I intended to refinance the vehicle to obtain a lower interest rate. I had expressed this goal to the dealership, especially because the high interest rate initially offered was challenging to manage long-term. On October 17, 2024, I spoke to Trent Winters, the manager of Destination Ford of Dumas. After not receiving the callback I was promised, I followed up and was informed that Mr. Winters was instructed not to speak with me further. On the same day, I reached out to the corporate entity that owns the dealership, Khoury Auto Group, and spoke to Salma Jones, their customer care director. Ms. Jones asked me to contact the general manager of Destination Ford. The following day, October 18, 2024, my spouse and I traveled to Dumas to speak with Cody Grove, the general manager of Destination Ford. We explained the entire situation, but instead of assisting us, he was rude, frequently raising his voice and grimacing throughout our conversation. Mr. Grove stated that if the dealership had convinced us the value of our 2020 Prius Prime was $39,000--despite Kelley Blue Book and other sources valuing it around $23,500--and assured us that this valuation would result in no negative equity in the vehicle, there was nothing wrong with that. He also said that if the dealership used outdated valuations that failed to consider the extensive hail damage sustained on their lot shortly before the sale, that too was acceptable. At the time, he dismissed our concerns as hearsay since we had not yet located the recordings of these claims. Since then, I have found the recordings and sent them to Ms. Jones. However, I have not received any further communication from Khoury Auto Group to resolve this deceptive sale. *Dealership presented an inflated value of $38,000 despite KBB's $24,000 without hail damage which was never reported so it did not reflect the true value, claiming a $16,000 "discount" (as heard in audio recording) that obscured real values and distracted me from the math I knew was not adding up...and still sold the car at a higher price than what we were expecting while making it look like they were giving us a great deal. This was after originally trying to charge us more and make the loan $42,000. Negative Equity (NE) was the reason we were trading out of the Rav4. We did not want high amounts of it. We went from $9,385 in NE to $13,365 NE (by trading down from a better vehicle in better condition that has held it's value much better) before accounting for hail damage on the new vehicle and we were tricked into believing we were actually positive equity instead after the trade and were getting a great deal. Had we not been tricked, we would have been much better off judging by the KBB values that the dealership convinced us to ignore and the current (possibly also the past) values according to JD Power. Because of this deception, we have been unable to sale, trade or refinance the 2020 Prius Prime and we are close to repossession and having our credit ruined. read more

The service department used to be good. Now it might be the worst I have seen. It took over 9 hours and 2 days to do a job that another dealership did in under an hour. If you have an option it's best to do business elsewhere. read more

I am beyond thankful for Heart of a Texas Ford. Kellie truly does everything she can to make sure you are taken care of. I was on my way to Midland from Austin when I started having car problems in Brady. I was able to catch her when she was working late around 8pm. Even though it was after hours, Kellie made numerous phone calls to find a mechanic who could come back up to the shop and take a look at my vehicle. She stayed with me for about 2 hours to make sure I was safe and even made sure I was able to find a room at the nearby hotel. Thank you so much Kellie for your kindness helping me in this situation. I trust the service department to give me accurate and honest review of what my vehicle needs, I took it in for service to another dealer and they quoted several things that was wrong and needed to be done, but when I took it back to Heart of Texas ford they reviewed the issues and found out my vehicle didn't need any of the service the other dealer suggested. read more
