I needed to get tint for our Tesla and was going to get it installed where we normally go which is 30 min drive but found Detail Union and saw they had really good reviews and it's only much closer so thought give it a try. I was a little worried if they'll do a good job cause I've never changed a tint place. I called in and had couple questions and Will was very friendly and patient, answered all my questions. So I booked the next availability. That day I went in and he had mentioned stuff that was helpful so I have some knowledge about it and what's been updated with tints. It took about half a day and loved the convenience of communications that was through text. They had texted to notify it was almost ready so I can get a head start to go on over. After I got there, he explained what to expect and what not to do for the next couple days. There was a sticker on the window button thing so I don't open the window for the next couple days. It looked so good. There wasn't any discoloration or disorientation. The car just looked so good. Loved the quality and service. The place is clean and comfortable where you can wait there if needed. I felt the price is competitive with other tint places. They aren't more expensive than others and it felt like they took the time to do a real detailed job instead of rushing it to do the next car type of job. I highly recommend Detail Union in Monrovia. Their large, gleaming shop showcases the beautiful work they do. I recently brought my 2018 Obsidian Black Metallic Tesla Model 3 for a full Xpel ppf wrap and Ceramic Pro coating. I was so happy with the results, I brought in our brand new Model Y for full PPF, tint, and ceramic coating, and it looks stunning. Shop owner Joel Lynn was very helpful in explaining the whole process and my options. I chose Xpel Prime XR Plus 50% windshield, 35% side windows, 70% on the roof and rear privacy glass, as well as full car Paint Protection Film also by Xpel. I also had a full car ceramic coating by CeramicPro. I don't have a good example of the Model 3, but I've attached two pictures Detail Union took of the Model Y (although the tint hadn't yet been applied). I brought my base 911 (992) for a ppf, paint correction and ceramic package with the intent to protect my investment. If you follow Detail Union on Instagram, you'll see their work on extremely high end vehicles. Experiencing their service first hand, I can tell they treat every car as a special vehicle. They make sure the work is done right and if you're looking for quality work, this is the place. Prior to my service, I had a creak coming from my driver side door. When I got my car back, the creak was gone. Apparently the techs at Detail Union are experts at disassembly/reassembly (necessary during the PPF process). In December 2023, I got the silver ceramic coat package and window tinting. I provided them some touch paint and they applied that for me before the coating. They were really helpful in picking out my tint darkness and had cars in their parking lot that represented some of the tints. The coating is fantastic. Water rolls off and sticky things come off a lot easier now. You do need to come back every year for a light "touch-up". read more

Came here to get a ceramic coating on my brand new truck and everything was good .. guys were super cool .. after the coating was done I came home and noticed that the hood of my truck was still very bad with Swirl marks and I told the guys and they redid it free of charge "just hood" if the hood looked that bad imagine what else was rushed .. later that day I noticed they missed some parts of my truck where there was no coating you pay 1400 for a rushed job not happy at all !! For anyone getting a Ceramic coating done please check their work after it's done .. they have a lot of cars coming in but too me the job was rushed and not worth it ... Update just left a professional detail place and they said the job they did was not done correctly and their paint correction was horrible!!! The most professional and awesome people we've ever worked with on our cars. From the first call for a quote to the final walk-through after the work was done, the people at Detail Union made it easy. Easy to find with their signage. Wonderfully clean parking lot, lobby, and workspaces. Will was extremely helpful and personable while we were shopping around for pricing. He explained what tint they use and how it protects the car, but never pressured us into any sort of commitment. Once we decided to go with them, he quickly found an appointment for us. They also have one of the smoothest communication systems I've seen. The texts and emails were prompt and provided all the info you needed. He also sent us quotes for our consideration on future services we asked about. Peter was the one to install our tint and it was great! He took us through our options, explaining that Teslas come with factory tint and how that would effect what level we put on top of it. He was quick and efficient, and the quality of work was amazing. Peter also took the time to point out a certain factory defect AND an issue that was the result of work we had done elsewhere. They had us come bring the car back the next day and Joel was the one to take care of the problem. He explained the problem and what they did to fix it. I bought a new car (Rivian R1S 2023). I wanted to get a ceramic coating and maybe some window tint as this thing is like an oven inside (top being mostly glass). Besides, new cars come without any protective (wax) and needs to be done to protect the paint from UV rays. I found Detail Union from a Google search. Walking distance from work and home. Actually found another service, but didn't seem to have what I wanted. I talked to Joel several times and got good vibes, so I went for a 7 year 9H ceramic coat on all surfaces, including plastic and glass (although I believe the glass coating might be different). I also had him add some PPF to the door sills, and put 70% on the windshield. The driver and passenger windows are already 70%, so by law I didn't want to add any more, as that would attract the law, plus it wouldn't be safe. The windshield technically isn't supposed to have any tinting, but it's hard to tell. They said it would take several days, washing, applying and curing, but I think they had it for 3 days. Didn't really matter to me as I had another car to drive, plus I just walked from work and home to drop off and pick up, so convenience played a part in using them. But overall, I would use them again, even though most of the work is invisible! I'll probably apply my own ceramic spray every year just to refresh what is there. read more

Wow what an insanely impressive shop. It's rare that a business with such a detail oriented service does well at this size. Detail union is absolutely killing the game. I brought my 20 year old a4 in for a full retint and ceramic coat. My a4 is my baby, fully built no expense spared so it really mattered to me that I was leaving my vehicle with someone who has as much attention to detail as me and offered high quality brand name products. It was also important to me that someone had enough experience to not burn my paint when polishing. The shop itself is super impressive with two different bays. Detail union has a whole team of techs, some washing, some tinting and doing ppf, and others ceramic coating. I have never seen so many Teslas in one place outside of a charging station. Clearly the Tesla guys love it here. Absolutely blown away with how much car looked post tint and ceramic coating. Cost for this stuff is certainly not cheap but you get what you pay for. Had a great experience with Detail Union as I needed to tint my car and they did an excellent job. They use Xpel ceramic tint, which from my research is a top quality product. It may be easy to be intimidated to approach a shop that is showcasing high-end vehicles (i.e. Lamborghini). Subconsciously there may be concern that the pricing may be exorbitant or perhaps your "regular" car may be shunned. Not so with Joel and the team at Detail Union. My wife purchased a new Toyota and wanted to get clear bra protection for the vehicle. We contacted shops found on Yelp and also recommended by friends -from Huntington Beach up to Monrovia. Some didn't bother replying to our questions beyond the initial quote. Others were either clear bra specialists with detailing as an option OR detailer specialists with clear bra as an option. In other words, there wasn't a comprehensive turnkey solution. Ceramic coating application involves a stable indoor environment and devoid of contaminants. Joel really makes the process very easy. Contact, questions, concerns, etc are answered lightning fast. The pricing I found was very fair, in-line with other competitors, and VERY transparent. A detailed quote was sent via email and outlined the entire process. Drop-off, pick-up, and the 7-day check-up were all seamless. There's no sense of entitlement or snobby demeanor, you are walked through the facility and every detail thoroughly explained. It goes without saying that the workmanship is phenomenal. I just had the shop tint the windshield of my 2022 Yukon XL and it came out amazing. I normally go to another tint shop near me because I've always been satisfied with their work but this time they were booked far out and since I just had my windshield replaced do to a rock hitting it I decided to test the waters. I found these guys on Yelp and then found them on Instagram. Since the start the communication was quick and they answered all my questions. I booked an app and when I got their one of the owners (Joel) took his time to explain to me the process and the materials they use. Even though there was a customer behind me he never rushed me or rushed his explanation of the process. Chris, their GM, toured me around their shop which is very impressive and explained the whole process to me. We are extremely grateful to the team at detail union. We went in to get our bumper rewrapped with the PPF after an accident. We were only in town for the weekend and needed to leave by sunday since we recently moved 5 hours away.
