The response seemed like it was to try to save face.

The detail was poorly done so management offered to re-clean it and refund the charge. May 2025 we left my car for 10 days and scheduled a detail. We called the day after we left to make sure everything was all set, since we had to leave my car at the airport and not at the park and wash (they were closed by the time we got to the airport). They said they had the car and they'd get it cleaned. Great. We arrive to pick up my car after our trip and they can't even find it. After 10 min of searching for my keys, the shuttle driver decides to ride around their lots with my husband to try and find it. Lo and behold, it never got cleaned while we were gone. The guy was apologetic and encouraged us to call the manager on Monday. So we did. After a few days of various excuses as to what happened, and different stories from each person, we're told we can come in on a weekend and have it done for free. Both ended up being lies. No weekend would actually work for them - so we scheduled for the week of July 4th as I'd be on vacation and wouldn't need my rig for work. Arrive to drop off my car on 7/2 and we're told the detail won't be free. Had we known this was going to happen, we would've gone elsewhere. Especially considering the place is totally out of our way. After a lot of back and forth with my very angry husband, the rude kid at desk and the manager Tammy, I agreed to pay a discounted rate and to pick it up the next day. The next day comes and I walk in. The kid at the desk immediately calls for the manager, Tammy. Tammy tells me there's an additional fee for pet hair. They claim I never mentioned that their would be hair in the vehicle - which was also a lie as my husband and I had stated throughout our many conversations with both people that my vehicle is used for business/there are multiple dogs in my car every single day. I laughed and said whatever. Paid $280 for a detail (including tip) and walked out. The best part? The detail job was absolute garbage. Definitely not worth what I paid OR the headache of dealing with this company. Half the car is clean, and the other half isn't. What's clean was so fully coated in oil that it's like a slip and slide. They also left my car unlocked in the parking lot over night. This place might be OK to just drop your vehicle off at while you're on vacation - but if anything goes wrong, I can imagine they'd be too helpful. Definitely save yourself the headache and get your car detailed somewhere else. Pictures of both mine and my husbands vehicles immediately after being detailed. As I have a soft top, I have to be careful where I go. The gentleman assured me it'd be fine (it's not an automatic high power wash-he power washes it manually), so I went for it. Jeep came out as shiny as a new penny (do they even mint those anymore?) Only one spot of bug guts on the windshield wasn't removed by the machines or the person drying, but considering the rest of the vehicle looked amazing, I'm happy. A monthly or more frequent trip is in order.

I called mid-morning on Monday - they've now had my car for 5 business days - and was told the estimate would be completed that day and I should hear from them later that day or Tuesday morning. At this point, I'm starting to wonder why it's taking so long and if this is a place I want to get my car repaired when they can't even tell me accurately when they'll do an ESTIMATE. I call Tuesday afternoon, spoke to Angie again and asked for an update. She explains that they should have the report done on Wednesday and that they only have one estimator that week. I tell her that she's told me that it would be done today when I called the prior day and at this point tell her to put the keys in the center console and we'll bring it somewhere else. Go get the car using our spare key--no key in the center console. Looked everywhere for it. You know where it was? Wrapped in tinfoil sitting on the front seat masquerading as garbage. Never had any auto shop "hide" a key this way. We almost threw it out. Were they sending some kind of message? I don't know. Did they have any intention of getting me an estimate that day? I don't know. But if its this much of a pain to get an estimate, I can only imagine the excuses when it comes to actually fixing the car.

Everything is very well explained to me as to what is going to happen and service is provided as promised. Great! Down side, they are always pushing every other potential service as this is where they make margins. And after doing some price compare, they do their best to maximize those out-of-contract/warranty services for typical, "commodity" car servicing. Why get some work done here that I can have done at a location-convenient spot that I have history with? I've found parts (engine, cab filters) to have a great mark-up over the local comp and other general services to be priced noticeably higher than other locations. So, if you want some great work done with excellent customer service, go here for all of your work - but if it is not warranty, or you are fine with your current shop for basic servicing, go there as you will find you pay more at Berlin City compared to others.

It was very confusing and scary. I apologized for my confusion as I did not want to upset her any further and she continued to deny what she had said earlier. I would not recommend this business to anybody, but if you must go I would either record everything Laura says or get it in writing. And do NOT leave the building when your car is getting worked on even if they say it is okay to leave.
