Tour guide tells us how much we 'owe' and who to pay it to. Which is EVERYBODY. This is not acceptable behavior from tour guides or the Collette company. This is the second time in a row this has happened to me. Egypt 2024 and Thailand 2025. Tour guides constantly asking for money makes the entire tour stressful and uncomfortable. Tips are not OWED. It is inappropriate and rude to ASK for tips, much less to ask for 'prepayment of tips.' Collette needs to change these tactics.

I had to pay $260 for 2 bags In order to make our flight. They did not care, response was minimal and then they brushed off the responsibility onto the airline. I have yet to see this money returned. This is the first trip I have taken with a travel service, the cost is already outrageous and aren't we paying them for the assistance if we have travel concerns? I would hate to think how they would have been if my travel need was more urgent or serious. If possible, look for another travel service if you are going to travel. I would not have confidence in their ability to get you through your trip if a situation were to occur.

She has always looked out for us trying to find the best prices and flights that make sense for our family she is just wonderful to work with!! I recently booked a trip for my teen daughter to travel unaccompanied (first time)to the Azores to visit family. She was so helpful:) I would especially recommend using Nova travel if it is your first time travelling to Portugal or any other Portuguese speaking destination. Madeira, Azores, Cape Verde, Brazil. I believe Nova Travel is likely an expert in those destinations.

And even within the 6 hours per day, they are open, the door is often locked with no one inside. They can't use email. You'll have to give them your email address multiple times only to receive an email flight confirmation that looks like was made on Microsoft DOS. Want to put your email confirmation on your iPhone? Not here. You'll have to print it and take it with you to the airport. But the best thing is when she booked me a flight back that didn't allow me a carry-on. I travel with some equipment that due to FAA regulations can not be check-in. It must come on board with me. I was only told I could not bring my carry-on with me when I was boarding the plane. I called and text Georgia to try to figure out what was wrong as I was boarding but - big surprise she would not pick up the phone nor answer texts. She insists that she didn't do anything wrong and this whole thing is because "I'm an unhappy sad person who needs God'. Honestly, I don't even know what to say about that. But you should never do business with this company unless you like to be stranded thousands of miles from home and having to pay hundreds of dollars to fix a mistake they refuse to take responsibility for. Tony was referred to me by Marcus Ridley and was able to offer a deal when another company closed…read morelast minute. We didn't know the deal with price would cost some of our cheerleaders uniforms and clothing being wet while under the bus. When the issue was brought up, first the driver (Ms. Dee) stated we must have had water in the bay with the luggage that she packed and we didn't. Then Tony said he would send someone to take a look at the bus and didn't. Ms. Dee had trouble getting the bus around in empty parking lots. The bus door was jammed when we tried to exit the bus to get to our competition. A parent that did not ride with the bus had to assist to open the door. The bus needed repairs while en route back to Georgia delaying the trip 2 hours. When we returned, called Tony to discuss the issues, he was unreceptive - repeatedly interrupting as we explained what happened, unapologetic - would not take accountability for concerns, defensive, and ultimately unresponsive to our concerns. When we stated how long we were waiting for the bus to be get the fuel filter changed, we stated we were there over an hour. He dismissed it because he looked at the GPS log saying we were only there for 45 minutes. Despite the fact that we have messages and calls to the driver regarding the stop. Parents reached out to him directly regarding the clothing that was wet from the bus and he has not returned their calls.
