The worst service and a waste of time and money. I dropped my vehicle off at 0910. My vehicle was not done until 1700 What did they do in that time ? Nothing I asked to have the seats shampooed and clean and the engine to be clean. What I received was half job vacuum and heavy on the new car spell. They never even open the hood. I found coins and pens under my passenger seat The only thing they did right was clean the tire and rims. Piss poop management and piss poor leadership. Stop advertising things you don't do or don't have the staff to do. I hope the manger and staff read this and go back to the basic and draw up a new plan how to care of customers or change industries I paid the money because it cost me $65 to lean a valuable lesson read the Yelp reviews before you go to a business. I've used them multiple times for my wife's car and mine. They do excellent work with a friendly and customer service oriented staff. This company did a great job with my 2010 Toyota. It started with their responsiveness to my online request for services. Two people responded including one person who was not working that day. I was scheduled for the same day. The owner gave me a ride home after dropping my car off. Everyone there was joyful and very customer oriented. The detailing on the car was fabulous. This is my second time using there services and My LAST!!!. I dropped my car off for 6 hours. When I came to pick up my vehicle. Not only did I have to walk outside with the cleaning person 3 times to check the car after I found areas that weren't clean. My back seat had ice cream on the seat track. If I didn't look back there they would have left it sticky ice cream spots still back there. When I pulled off I saw these areas (pictures are added below). The manner was rude when I couldn't come the next day due to me already having prior engagements. I wasn't expecting to have my car detail cleaned a second day in the row after it being there for 6 hours the first day. I tired to resolve the issue before writing this review. Any time we come to town we get our car detailed here. This is the best value and best car detailed we have ever used.

The staff members were super friendly, but the quality of work, specifically attention to detail, was unsatisfactory. L I got the standard wash with a headliner cleaning. When I went back to pick my car up I looked at it and saw a few spots that I needed to be retouched. I pointed them out to the gentleman that was still working on the car. After I paid I did another walk around and saw a few more spots which I also pointed out. At the time it was starting to rain so I didn't get too critical of the wash. After getting home I realized that none of the spots that I pointed out were retouched and that there were spots on the front of the car that I didn't notice on the initial walk around. I also noticed that the same bug splatter on my windshield was still there and the rear-view mirror was spotty. read more

I'm disappointed in their customer services. To see pictures and outstanding reviews, but to not receive any service to get my car detailed is just unprofessional. I have reached out three times to the company and have received no response whatsoever. I'm curious, is the company no longer in business?? I contacted the company through its website with a detailed message of what I was requesting and received no call or email response. A week later, I called during business hours, only to go to voicemail. Again, left a message with name and phone number, and no returned call. I could say four, because by this time, I tried the website again, but the website was inoperable and I was unable to access anything. Then the last time, just last week, I reached out again through its website and still no one has responded. It's sad because here I am, trying to be a paying customer, and receive outstanding service that I see through its reviews and receive nothing. I don't even want the business anymore, at this point, I'm just over it and willing to make a drive all the way to Charlotte just to get my car detailed. If they reach back out to you, good luck! I thought or should I say assumed, since I was doing just interior service and it included shampoo they would pull my car in, so let me park somewhere convenient. The owner pulled up and threw his hands up. I'm 9 months pregnant, just left from a long night at the ER, been trying to get my car serviced for 3 weeks, I really wasn't in no type of mood to deal with ignorance, but I was in need of my car getting shampooed. Then he gets out, looks my way and shakes his head. I still didn't budge. So he walks up to the walkway and finally signals for me to pull up to the driveway. Cool. I go inside and I understand we all have those mornings that just haven't lined up yet, but he acted as if I was an inconvenience to him. I was told over the phone my service would be 2-2 1/2 hours. Perfect! I wake up at from a nap 12:15 because I forgot I had nail appt, still no call. I drive my hubby's car past and I see the workers cleaning out the trunk portion. Nails complete. It is now 2:36 pm, and still no call. I drive back past my car, and it's just parked in the front. So maybe they are just letting something dry or whatever else the case may be. It is now 5:50 ish pm and I finally get a call, only to be reminded the shop closes at 7, yet again, I never received a call in reference to my car being ready for pickup. I only received 1 call the entire time they had my car and that was around 9 am verifying I did not want a quick wash or anything to the outside. At this point, I'm over it, I brought my fiancé because I wasn't dealing with anymore attitudes. He went through car and the worker told us if there were any issues, let them know and they would fix it, but I was tired and sick and had to go back to ER, I didn't care to wait any longer for poor service. It sucks finding quality service every time I PCS due to military service, but if I can help another battle save the hassle, I will. Take your business elsewhere. read more

I don't know if the guy is bigoted or just an egotistical maniac that has confidence issues but either way there are more stories like this buried in their reviews. 3 years ago WARNING!!! In June I made my 3rd trip to Details Count Professional Detailing on my long visit to Columbia from out of state. On this visit, the owner (as he identified himself after he finally waited on me at the counter) is one of the rudest people and ugliest personality I think I have ever come across in a business environment in a very long time and I will never visit this place again!!! Once I entered the business (my 3rd time in 10 days), I had to wait about 5 minutes before this person asked me could he help me (while he was busy with something). I replied that I would like a car wash and clean the inside. He did not responded. I continue to stand there and he took about 5 more minutes before he walked to the counter. He asked; "what type of car do you have?" I responded and said; "I think it's considered a mid-size or maybe a large car but I am not sure." I also was not sure what he was asking (thinking the price is different depending on the size of the car). There was no response so I gave the name and make of my car (BMW6c). That just set him off. He then went into this rant about he doesn't know what kind of car that is and continued to rant about what I said. He kept saying there are many models of that car (which I told him the model) and said he didn't know what I was talking about. He then said or yelled; "so you had to say what brand and model of car you have?" Well by this time, I wasn't sure what he was asking so I asked; "what are you asking me, the size or what?" He never answered. Then I figured the problem was that he didn't like it that I told him the make of the car and the type of car I had (when that was the question he asked me). I was not trying to be pretentious at all. He pointed to his wall and said or yelled "...that's your car on the wall and that's a small car." I said okay, it's a small car. I sat down and thought about the ugly exchange we just had in front of another guest and workers in the back. I then later approached him and asked if I could speak with him privately. He never responded and we walked outside. I told him that I came back to this business because I liked how my car had been previously serviced but I did not like his attitude. That's when he identified himself as the owner. Wow, the owner, which that didn't faze me at all? He continued to be rude and ugly ...saying that I told him I had a BMW and basically he didn't want to know what kind of car I had. Well by now I've gotten the picture. He proceeded to say that I was there before and all I would get was the outside washed ($12). Well ...so he does remember me!!! Then why did this man go through 15 minutes of ranting to me about what type of car I have or didn't have when he already knew??? He continue to rant and I asked him twice to please lower his voice, but he didn't. By this time some of the workers came around asking what was wrong. I said if he didn't want my business or didn't want to wash my car, then bring my car and I'll just leave and rate his attitude online. This man then threaten to damage my car ...that's how I took it!!! He said (his words exactly): "you are going on YELP to give me a bad review while I still have your car?" Then he went to the back yelling that same statement. I then demanded that he get my car. He asked me to stop and not to walk past a certain location. So I went back inside and put $25 on the counter for his workers. As I started to drive away. He ran and put the $25 under my wiper blades. I stopped and took the money off and left it for the workers. I was not about to have him say I drove off and didn't pay for a half washed car. He proceeded to yell saying he has a luxury car too. So I said; you have a luxury car and you're in the car business but you don't have any idea what kind of car I was talking about? I will NEVER go back. I have delayed writing this review for a year but the service was so bad I still get triggered when I drive by this place. My husband suggested I take my car there to get it detailed. The guy who detailed my car complained loudly about having to detail my car. He was also very rude and demeaning to me. Should be renamed details don't count. I went there last spring after purchasing the groupon. I called for two days to schedule the appointment. No one ever picked up the phone so I had to drive over there just to make the appointment. When I got there the manager kept going about all the trouble he's having with his employees being lazy and how he's not from SC he's from Florida and it's not like that there. The next week when I arrive for my appointment, I apologize for being a little late (caught up at work) and the same guy says, "uh 15 minutes is more than a little late." If I hadn't had already bought the groupon I would've walked out right then. It took 2.5 hours and they didn't do the back carpet in my 4runner, there were spots that they didn't buff out that turned into crusty dull areas, and to top it off there was a nice new scratch on the dash. There was a man inside the office opening mail, who I mistakenly thought was a customer. I acknowledged him, but he never looked up. I waited a few minutes and another man came in and said, "what can I do for you?"- Ok, I'm thinking, he is not a morning person. I decide to leave my car, when I returned, dirt was still in the spoiler of my car. Seriously, my car looked like I had taken it to my local drive through, vacuumed and shined my tires. $40? Have to say. Not super impressed. Definitely don't feel I got my $67 dollars worth. That's not including the tip. While the carpets were cleaned well, (although I had to pay extra to get the flour mats cleaned, which is normally part of cleaning carpets it thought) attention to detail was not paid to other aspects of the interior. Dust and dirt were still behind the steering wheel and in the gauge wells. The door jams were not wiped down nor the dash and interior door hand rails and handles. The seats did not appear to be wiped down with anything more than a wet towel. Overall, mediocre quality at best. read more

Overall, I was highly impressed with my experience at Details Count. It was my first time in the establishment, and I was pleased to see that they seemed to take social distancing seriously. The lobby area looked very clean, the chairs were placed out nicely, and the staff and customers all wore masks. In regard to detailing service, I was very happy with the results. The package I purchased was the Sylvia's Signature Detail (recommended on their website), as well I added on an additional service to shampoo the seats of my car. The gentlemen there did an amazing job! My seats and car look fantastic inside and out, and they even had a cover for my driver's seat so I wouldn't have to sit on the damp cloth. If you like your black vehicle, the only thing you should let this place do is look at it while you drive by. After the initial "detailing", my car was covered in swirl marks. Car wasn't ready until past dark so inspecting wasn't really an option. After getting it into the sunlight and seeing the obvious issues, they were of course apologetic and willing to fix it immediately. Got excuses like "I don't know what happened" and "I guess I used the buffing pads in the wrong order"....... really?? After the second detailing/repair I've noticed at least 3 places where the paint is burnt and bubbled, 2 places where the buffer burntthe rubber around the windows. Seeing as this is the first place to put a buffer to my car in the 2.5 years I've owned it, I know beyond a doubt it happened here. Regret the day I brought my car here. read more

I am glad to see that they added a disclaimer that they charge extra for pet hair. I bought a groupon anticipating using it after returning from a 9 hour road trip with my two lab mixes. Not only did they call me to try to cancel my appointment because it was raining, but when I mentioned that I really wanted at least the inside cleaned because it was pretty bad they told me that there was an extra fee. When I asked how much, they said they would have to see it first. I told them that the only disclaimer on the groupon was for an XL vehicle. They said they have a sign hanging in their business. That didn't help me make my decision when I buying the groupon, nor did I want to drive 30 minutes to be potentially told an absurd amount. I decided to take my car there anyways because I didn't feel like the hassle of getting my groupon credit back. It was a bad choice. When they figured out that I was the person that was upset about the pet hair fee, they basically wouldn't make eye contact with me. I negotiated and asked that they just not clean the exterior because it had been raining pretty frequently anyways. They agreed to it, but I could tell they weren't happy about it and made it seem like I would have to wait a really long time, probably hoping that I would just leave. They got to my car right away, probably making another person wait longer because they weren't in the waiting area (I overheard them talking). Upon inspection of their service I immediately noticed some pet hair. When I mention it, the guy just shrugged his shoulders. DO NOT GO HERE!! Wish i could give it a negative number. Got a wash and wax and they were done in an hour and a half which seems kinda fast to me. Got the truck back to very scratched headlights that looked like somebody took a wire brush to them and dirty wheels. Called the people and they try to tell me that they were like that before and nothing they use will scratch anything on a vehicle. Very unprofessional and people do not know what they're doing there. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ignored when I arrived, the gentleman was extremely rude, but I will say the lady that eventually helped me was friendly. When I returned to pick up the vehicle they had ruined the tint on my windows. The same gentlemen that was originally rude said they didn't do it, threw down his rag, cussed and walked away. Moments later the manager came back and she was friendly, but said there's no way they did the damage. After taking a rag to the window and clearly wiping away more of the tint they agreed it was their error. They gave us a number of somewhere to go, but basically put it all back on us to handle. I didn't feel like ever going back to this business and I highly doubt they will reimburse me for the tint job without more arguments so I have decided to pay for he repair myself and warn others of this poorly ran operation. read more

WARNING!!!!! I agree with the other review. They should be called details DON'T count. I went to have water vacuumed out of the floor of my car. They over charged me (more than what was stated on their service price wall)! Worst of all I got home and lifted up the carpet to help it dry and they clearly didn't get any of the water out. When I confronted them the Male owner was rude and in no way helpful. I would have been better off buying a new wet/dry vac from Home Depot and do it myself. I purchased a Groupon valued at $110 for a detailing to be done on my Toyota Camry. At the time of the appointment the vehicle was taken in the back. An hour later all that was done to the car is that it had been run through the wash and the wax applied. They start to vacuum the interior and the owner, Allen, comes in and tells me there is excessive pet hair in the car and he will charge me an additional $30. I told him t the package I paid for included vacuuming and that I'm not paying anything in addition. We get into a verbal argument, with Allen stating that's why he does not like Groupon and that I should just go to "Frank's". He refused to finish the job I paid for and told his guy to wipe off the wax and for me too get off the property. He also said he's not worried about bad reviews. When I checked the car the only pet hair was on the floor mats in the back and those could have easily been removed and he could have finished the job. I took photos of the interior for reference and more than willing to share. In addition I would like to note the seats in the front and rear are leather and cloth so it is impossible to be excessive pet hair with leather interior. Upon inspection they left wax on the car. I ran my hand across the front and my hand was filthy. They outside of the car was adequate at best. I strongly recommend going anywhere else before ever going to this place! I went to Details Count about 6 months ago and must say they did a really great job. They were very keen to details with my car. I really needed the headlights buffed and they helped me out with this, too. I should also add that my car was well past the point of needing a good detail, yet the employees didn't seem to hold this against me. Everyone was nice, quick, and thorough. I bought a groupon for a full detail. Upon getting to Details, I was told my trunk would not be done (how is this not included in a full detail) I asked to speak with someone about it, even too see how much extra it was. He would not even speak to me just over me at the secretary. He said, "it is thousands extra...I will just do it so I dont have anyone complain!" ... as I was waiting for one, the wireless they say they have did not work, I told the secretary that and she could care less, she was too busy with her CHILD there at the business, then disappeared for the remaining hour. NO BATHROOM, all doors said employees only. When I got my car back... TADA they did not do trunk... I said something and they quickly vacuumed, because they did not even lift seats to vacuum. Then they left my seats folded up and their "shampooing" mildewed my entire car. PS no air-fresher was given either, though it was suppose to be in package. To top it off... they did not do the ENTIRE middle of the top of my car. I guess since I am 5'5 and couldnt see it myself they didnt bother, until my 5'11 husband saw how filthy it was. I bought a coupon on dealsaver.com to get my truck detailed for 27.50. I made an appointment a month out and told them I had a F250 pickup. Went to drop of the truck and they took my keys and the coupon, then I left. The worker followed me out the door and said it's going to cost more than what the coupon said. When I asked why he stated, "I'm not washing that big truck for 27.50" and he went on to say that his chemicals cost more than that. I stated that the deal stated nowhere in the details that the size of the vehicle mattered. Nor does it state that conditions or terms may change. He downright refused to change his position and honor the coupon that he posted. They used "Bait and Switch" tactics as far as I'm concerned. I would not go back for a free car wash. The whole purpose of promotions in a business is to get people to see how great of a service you provide. In turn people will come back and you will make your money back. I purchased a Groupon for $50 for $130 worth of cleaning. For this price I was to have my car washed, waxed, hand dried, inside cleaned and vacuumed, seats, headliner, floor carpet, and auto mats shampooed. I called 3 weeks in advance and made an appointment for 9 am on Saturday. When I arrived, the lady behind the counter remarked "you are here early for your 10 o'clock appointment." I said "No, my appointment is a 9 am" and she started to argue with me. I asked her how long the cleaning would take and she said didn't know. When I spoke with the owner 3 weeks previously he said 2 to 3 hours. The lady behind the counter said "I hope it will be ready in that amount of time." Anyway, I left my two door Toyota Solara at 9 am and called back at 12:30 asking when the car would be ready. I was told 1:30. The car was ready at 1:30 and I inspected it. They had washed and waxed it, but I could have had the same results at a car wash. They did vacuum and clean the interior and shampoo the seats. I was disappointed though because although they did clean the interior, there were still places I had to retouch myself. The seats were shampooed, but the result was not one I would have paid for. It just looked sloppy and I could have done a better job myself. The headliner in the car was not cleaned at all, which was supposed to be included in the service. I had to wait and find someone to have them find my floor mats and put them back in my car. For all of this I paid $50, but I wish I had kept the money and done the work myself. I would think if they wanted return customers they would give me outstanding service. I felt like I was bothering the people there. I won't return. read more
