If you want to relax and be catered too this is the place. Love this place, everything a spa should be. Clean, professional staff, exceptional service from being to end. Very relaxing and Heather knows skin! I was visiting Westchester for a wedding when I noticed I had a noticeable zit. One of my female friends made it very obvious that whatever I was doing was only making it worse. She called and Heather at Details Day Spa worked me in before the event. Heather told me what I had was a millia, and started right in at getting my skin looking not only human, but balanced and clear. After removing the millia, she restored my skin by giving me a Four Later Facial. I called it The Stone mask. After applying the product, it harden literally pulling blackheads and opening up my pores, leaving glowing natural skin. I had an appointment yesterday at 6 after waiting for an appointment for a few weeks. This place is located close to my moms house and I saw they were offering a Groupon so I figured why not give it a shot. The Groupon was $69 for a lash lift and tint (which is not cheap). I'm totally unsatisfied with my service! My lashes look exactly the same, they don't even look darker. This was my very 1st time doing this service, however I've seen others results and I didn't expect to get 0 results. This was definitely a waste of money. On the other hand, the place was very nice and clean. I would not recommend going to this place for a lash lift or tint but maybe some of their other services are better. I have been going to Details Day Spa for over 5 years. Heather, the owner is a sweetheart! She is knowledgeable about the skin, her extractions are not painful and she truly cares about improving your skin. I love the results after the Hydra facial. My skin is glowing! My wife made an appointment in the morning, went there and the door was locked. She stood outside for 10 minutes and knocked on the door. Finally she came home and called them. I listened to the conversation she had on the phone (speaker phone). The young women said they were there at the appointment time and did not understand why the door was locked and no one answered. I do not think anyone was there, or they showed up late, but have no proof. However when my wife was speaking with the young woman on the phone, she started getting rude. She said that my wife could reschedule for later that afternoon, or on the following Wednesday at 6pm. My wife said yes the the Wednesday appointment, but wanted to know why no one was there, and would they be there on Wednesday. At this point the young woman became very rude, and after a minute said that the Wednesday appointment, which she just reserved for my wife, was no longer available. Then she said we need to request a refund (did I mention we already PAID!), and hung up on my wife. This is Customer Service?!? I'm glad to know that the owner of this business doesn't need people's business. My wife was excited for this appointment, and as a first time guest, if they had played their cards right, they would have had a customer for life. We will relate this story to many people, and I am sad that this is too common in the customer service industry. read more

Their internet was down so I never got a call saying not to come. The girl was extremely rude and unapologetic. She lied also and said they were under a state of emergency. Heather has transformed my eyebrows, plucked and ruined since the fashion of the 80s to thin lines. Eyebrows are the gateway to ones face and I had no gateway. I spent at least 10-15 mins every morning with a brush and pot of brow powder. Disaster!!!!!!!!! Heather has given me the brows I had many years ago and even my husband, who can't tell when I've had a haircut noticed them when I got home. At work the next Monday, people kept telling me that there was something "different" about me. It was great!!! Heather has also done facials on me; lovely, nurturing facials and my lashes which I had done for a year to spoil myself!! Lets just say this is a hidden gem in the Mohegan Lake/Shrub Oak area. I have driven by this place so many times and never knew there was a spa up there! I have very good things to say... Starting out with the following: 1. Go to Details if you want a personal/tailored facial experience with someone who knows A LOT about skin care. Every time I am here with Heather I learn 150 things about skin care/skin that I didn't even think of before!!! She really knows her stuff and really knows whats best for your skin. 2. The prices for services/products are very reasonable. Heather never pushed me to purchase any products, which many local spas/salons do!! I come in asking for a product or result that I want and Heather points me in the right direction. Same thing goes for adding on services. The first visit I really wanted to do a peel and a micro with my facial; Heather said my skin wasn't ready for it yet. Where as other spas would push the add on services, Heather really cares for the well being of the client. 3. The facials are not only super effective but SUPER relaxing. (Includes a mini upper body- arms and shoulders massage!!!) Other facials I have had from other spas were very basic meaning they stuck to the face and that's it: no extras! But Heather goes above and beyond at making you feel relaxed. 4. Flexible hours/appointment time slots. They are open late some week nights which is great for my schedule. I have been going to Details (for facials) and working with Heather(owner) since May of this year. When I first went to Heather, I had expressed the concerns of my skin and what my overall goal was. Heather was very very insightful and put forward a plan to get my skin where I want it. I did a regular facial/extraction during my first visit and she sent me home with (deluxe sized samples) to try out. She did not push the product but told me if I wanted the results I had to stick to her regimen!! I saw really good results within the first month. I went back in June for a micro abrasion which left my skin smooth, soft and glowing (Also want to add in that the micro does not hurt at all). I just went back again last night for my third facial, and even though my skin isn't where I want it to be yet, I have seen great results in the short time I have been going to Heather for services. I cannot say enough about Details! I recently got my first peel to help improve the texture of my skin and I am already looking forward to doing it again! Heather was gentle but thorough and the products she used were great. I have heard of peels being very painful and this one was at the most mildly uncomfortable - and the results are well worth it. I've been to Heather before for lashes, which she does an impeccable job with but most recently I tried her for a spray tan just in time for New Year's Eve. I've had other spray tans before but again what sets Details Day Spa and Heather apart from anywhere else is her attention to the details. Most places that do a personal airbrush tan simply spray you down and you leave sticky, then you're counting down the hours until you can shower. However, the experience you receive at Details will make you never want to go anywhere else. After applying the spray tan to each section carefully and meticulously, she would then dry that section, and she repeatedly did this on every area! Therefore after a superb application I was able to leave dry without my clothes getting stained, nor did I have that 8 hour sticky feeling & my tan is still going on strong now 10 days after application.
