Once I was ready…read moreto start outpatient PT in July, I chose this Foothills PT location because I used them before, about 15 years ago after knee replacement surgery. They were good back then, and they're even better now. I highly recommend them - they go above and beyond. My therapist this time is Auggie, and he is fantastic. He, and all the staff, are very kind and patient, as well as knowledgeable and professional. They are gentle and caring with me and are always looking out for my safety, but they do not treat me like I'm a lost cause because I'm old. They've always been very encouraging, and put as much effort into helping me as they do with any other client. They're respectful of all their clients, from what I've seen. There are clients of all ages and abilities here, and they personalize their therapy to fit the client's condition and needs. I feel that they do care about their patients and want us to get better and feel that we matter. Auggie did my initial assessment and did a great job of pinpointing my needs and prescribing a course of therapy to help me improve my strength and balance. At some PT places, you only see an actual physical therapist the first time and then the rest of the time the PT assistants and aides work with you, sometimes starting you on an exercise and then disappearing for a long time. It's not like that at all here. Auggie spends quite a bit of time with me each visit, assessing my progress, instructing me in the exercises, showing me how to use the gym equipment, and adjusting the work for the day depending on how able I am feeling that day. If he does hand me over to a staffer to monitor my exercises a while so he can do other work, the staff desk has a view of the gym and he's always watching over the whole gym to see if anyone needs help. The PT assistants are vigilant too, so I don't feel ignored. They have quite a few staffers and they don't short me on my time. This location is nice because it's on a peninsula in a little lake, with a pleasant view of the lake's landscaping and waterfowl to look at while you work out, if you don't want to watch TV. There is also some tree-shaded parking, depending on the time of day, which helps in the summer. I'm here to get stronger, and I can tell I've made progress. I can't believe the exercises I'm able to do now. If I ever need therapy again, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. These people are the best, and I'm so grateful for them and all their help.

She is a gifted therapist who has an intuitive understanding of the body. I started PT after a major wreck left me carless and in a lot of pain. I've never done PT before and didnt know what to expect. I haven't been the kind of person who looks forward to working out, but found myself eagerly attending PT a few times a week. You just have to break through that post-workout fatigue of the first 6 weeks. Exercising with pain can be discouraging, but stick with it. After getting past that, I found myself with a higher level of energy that I still have all the time. If something hurts, they don't force you to do it, and they customize your plan every month or so after reevaluating your progress and level of pain. The therapist I had for the first month ended up leaving to continue his education, and even then, if Koreen saw me doing an exercise with bad form, she would come over and show me how to do it correctly. I GREATLY appreciated that she cared enough to help me. She painstakingly explained things to me and answered all my questions. Though I went there for pain, it's unavoidable to not learn about the rest of your body in the process. They left me with a better understanding of core muscles, what muscles being lengthened and shortened can do, an appreciation for exercise, a newfound respect for posture, and most importantly... a big reduction in pain. I felt sad to leave because Koreen and everyone else there have changed my life!

They keep me informed. I don't expect miracles or perfection and I'm reasonable about what to expect. I also visit frequently. On the rare occasion that I suspected care was "slipping" and another time when a CNA was rude, my concerns were heard and addressed immediately. My husband is a high level of care and sometimes becomes understandably depressed and angry. Staff deals with this well. My husband will need to receive care for the rest of his life. Many of the staff members joke around with him and know him well--he has been there since January of 2022. I will continue to visit often and advocate for him, and I pray this facility keeps providing compassionate care.

Extremely disappointed with ATI Physical Therapy and their billing practices…read more Before I even scheduled my first appointment, I specifically asked them to verify my insurance and tell me exactly what my cost would be per visit. I was told it would be approximately $60. I intentionally waited several days for them to verify my insurance information before moving forward because I wanted to know the cost upfront. At my first visit, I was charged $65. It was $5 more than quoted, but I didn't make an issue of it. Now, approximately 25 days later, ATI is trying to charge me an ADDITIONAL $95 for that same visit. That brings the total cost of ONE physical therapy visit to $160. When I called customer service, I was told the original $65 was supposedly only a "deposit." That was NEVER explained to me. Had I been told that $65 was simply a deposit and that I could later be billed another $95, I would have never agreed to the appointment. What makes this especially frustrating is that I specifically asked for the cost BEFORE scheduling and gave them time to verify everything with my insurance. Their customer service experience only made the situation worse. Patients deserve transparency about what they are agreeing to pay. Quoting someone around $60, collecting $65 at the appointment, and then nearly a month later billing another $95 is completely unacceptable to me. I would absolutely NOT recommend ATI Physical Therapy based on my experience. If you decide to use them, I strongly recommend getting your expected TOTAL cost in writing before receiving any services.

He also didn't offer any sort of advice other than doing "core exercises" when that's not even where my scoliosis curve is and blamed all my symptoms on my other condition. I was hobbling around the tennis courts and a month after replacement I was running around the tennis courts and 2 months later sprinting like a wild man. I was 66 yrs old after the surgery. Dr. Khoury was very patient, kind and a wonderful bedside manner. The patients that rated her with one star must have delusions as to their care. How can this be? She used the supplement machine to conduct the surgery. I play tennis now at age 68 3X week, aerobics 3X week and climb the Victory steps at Verrado on a weekly basis. Thank you Dr. Khoury.
