Tony B. was quite knowledgeable, and it was a pleasure having him in our home. Our service began with an email to confirm the appointment, with a 2 hour time window. Tony arrived on time, identified the problem, and gave us a price estimate for the repair. In addition to doing an excellent job, he was very kind and helpful. As we spoke with Tony, we understood that he was a very proud employee of Devlin Plumbing. It appears that Devlin treats their employees extremely well, and it certainly does reflect in their work! John Gentzler is the best plumber around! We have used his plumbing skills over many years. Having both of us fully vaccinated against COVID-19, we have the privilege of being visited by our very young great grandchildren, whom we are determined to stay safe from this virus. Therefore, we were required to replace Devlin Plumbing Service with Mr.Sparky (for both plumbing and electrical services), as Devlin declined to assure us that the plumber entering our residence was fully vaccinated against COVID-19, but which Mr.Sparky readily so did assure us. Such a shame to lose prior excellent service. As a note, we also changed to compliant house cleaning services. Perhaps other firms in Horry County will wake up to these concerns regarding their employees. read more

Devlin was recommended to us when we moved to Myrtle Beach. We've used them to install our gas dryer, grill and firepit. The firepit involved digging a trench to bury the gas pipe and installing a connection that allowed for both the firepit and grill. John G also suggested a method that would make it easier to reposition the grill and firepit in the future if we expanded the patio. Everything was completed in a couple hours and was neat and tidy. He showed me how to turn on turn off the grill and explained how to disconnect the gas lines if I needed to before he left. The job was originally scheduled for a Friday but since they couldn't make it they gave us a $45 reduction on the installation when they did it Monday. read more

First time customer for Devlin. They are listed on Angie's list with a great rating so decided to call them. Called this morning, explained my plumbing problem and had someone to my home within 3 hours (this was not an emergency call). Mike J. identified the problem immediately--I needed a new garbage disposal. Had one in the truck and work done within about an hour. As a member of Angie's List was able to take advantage of some great coupons. Mike is coming back tomorrow to install a new comfort height toilet---again another coupon I was able to see on Angie's list. Even without the coupons Devlin is reasonable, prompt, efficient and very friendly. Happy to have found them. read more

Everyone I dealt with at Devlin Plumbing was very efficient and friendly. I called to see if I could get a free estimate for some gas and water plumbing work for a patio and spa I was having installed. Someone came out within a couple of days and gave me a free estimate for the work. John G came out to do the work, but could only do the water that day because my patio/spa contractor did not have the heater in yet. John G and John M came back today to do the gas part of the job. They did an excellent job and were both very friendly. I would not hesitate to call them for any future plumbing needs or to recommend them to my friends. read more

The Devlin Team of Preston and John were quite the dynamic duo. although they weren't able to fix the problem as it requires appliance repair (pump leaks) they did discover multiple issues as well as identified the problem. They found the dishwasher was hooked up to the cold water, the trim in front of the sink and dishwasher was one piece leaving no access to the dishwasher. they provided and access and identified the problem. it was a pleasure having them here and watching them work through the issues. Last night we noticed our garbage disposal was not draining. We called this morning at 8 am for a technician. John G was here by 3pm the same day and fixed our problem. We were thinking something was wrong and we would have to replace the unit. Fortunately, the drain was clogged. John G. came in , cleaned the trap, problem solved. He cleaned everything up (probably better than it was anyway) and was on his way. That is the way companies and professionals should work. read more

Chad, from Devlin plumbing, came out to diagnose and fix a water leak behind a wall in our house. Our builder failed to provide access to the pipes behind the bathroom walls. Chad was able to identify where the leak came from, added an access port into the plumbing and quickly repaired the leak at a fair price. I would definitely have Devlin plumbing and Chad again if a plumbing repair was needed. read more
