I brought my car to Devonaire Service & Tire on September 4th for a puncture repair. The shop installed only an external plug, without removing the tire or patching it from the inside. The repair lasted about 30 days before the plug started leaking air. I later learned that industry guidelines (from the Tire Industry Association) require both a plug and internal patch for a safe, permanent repair. I decided not to return to the shop because I no longer felt comfortable with the repair approach. I had to replace the tire for $700. My battery failed on me. Hyundai was able to schedule me three weeks away on a whim. I drove by and asked them how long it would take gentleman told me half hour to get the battery 10 minutes to install. True to his word, I was pulling out in less than an hour. We have been taking our now 20 year old Corolla to Alex at Devonaire Service and Tire for well over 10 years. Alex treats our car as if it is his own. Whatever the reason that we bring it in he always checks everything. If he says something is needed we have him do it. There have been times when we took it in thinking we needed something done and he said it was fine, nothing wrong and didn't charge us. He has kept our car running for so many years. He has been my go-to whenever I need oil changes or any other issues that come up (i.e. nails in tires, the bottoms of our cars hanging by a thread, leaking batteries, etc.). I've come here before for oil changes, but never for a big ticket repair. I decided to take my car in, as my clutch master cylinder had basically fully craped out on me. I am not very knowledgeable with mechanics, but I can say they were very friendly and explained to me in detail what was wrong with my car. I had previously taken it elsewhere to fix the issue and the guy that had worked on it really screwed it up, so that's when I decided to take it here. It may have cost more than usual ($830), but I do know they had to go in and clean a pretty mess with not just the master cylinder, but with my pedal. Overall, I'm very happy with the service and quality of work. The clutch is working great and it was worth every penny. After he checked the car out he advised front rotors and to be on the safe side brakes should be changed. I left my car there as they they said it would take 2 hours. They called me sooner and I picked up my car. The whole ordeal went smoothly and my car is running great again. Shop was very reliable and trustworthy. Reviews should be a tool for the owners to gauge public feedback unless they just don't care. We took our SUV to this place early morning with a nail on a tire. I've had this occurred before so I know what can be repaired or not; this was clearly a repairable situation. When we told the individual of the problem, he simply said that he would not repair it and it needed a new tire. We then went to another establishment nearby (FIRESTONE) where they promptly reviewed the tire and repaired it. This persons attitude was terrible and is costing this place future customers. Hopefully for their sake they are reading these reviews and are addressing. read more

Devonaire Service & Tire changed owners since last November. I sent my car for check up since it had an oil leak. The owner did find the place of the leak and recommended on other jobs to be done. The quote was given electronically, yay!!! they have a system to go by and best of all it will keep a history of your visits and what was the job done to your car. Unlike Firestone where they take their sweet as time even when there is no wait, these guys are always hustling to get you out as soon as possible. These guys were great! Took my car in due to a check engine light and they ran the diagnostics while i waited and were able to give me my options and upfront costs. The next day when i dropped it off they showed me the brand new parts they would be using to fix my problem, they also took pictures of the completed work and when i came to pick up the car showed me the damage parts they removed. All around great service , quick and very efficient. I even forget my headphones and they called me to let me know they had it for me whenever i could stop by and pick it up. Be ready to pay $100 just to check your car, they asked me for over $2000 to repair my car. This guy told me he does not replace brake pad he had to replace the whole system, and the AC need a new panel to be replaced. I first read about this place here on yelp. I was looking around for a place to do my Honda Pilot's oil change. I found this little place. I gave them a call, and Danny (I think is the owner) was super friendly. That was a good start. I headed over and had a little difficulty finding the place. You have to drive around the back by the dominos pizza place in the corner. I call them again and they helped me find it. They greeted me very well, and went to work on my car almost as soon as I got there. The price for the oil change including tire rotation is 29.99 plus tax for my Big SUV. Not bad. They use Semi-Synthetic Oil from Napa auto parts. Not a bad choice either. The service overall was outstanding!!! I will definitely return here for my oil changes!!! read more

I had taken my wife's car to this shop to get an alignment. I knew from the moment I walked in I felt a negative vibe with this shop. Starting with that the employees didn't even say good morning or even acknowledge my presence there. The staff there looks upset to be working at this place. My car was there getting an alignment. I paid the 100 $ and drove the car thinking the job was correct. The car pulled to the right but I couldn't take it back. I had to go to work and was on vacation right after work. When I came back on Tuesday, i went to the shop to tell them that the car was pulling badly to the right side. The manager told me that my tires were worn out and didn't want to realign my car. I sent the pics of the tires to my bro and he said that wasn't true. Then I went to Costco and they said that wasn't true. I'm tired of b.s shops and people who don't want to work and take advantage of people. I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I found this location on Yelp while looking for a place to fix a tire that I had leaking air. It's located in a weird area inside a little strip mall. Car drop off is in the back and along an avenue. Service was pretty good while there. Everyone is direct and to the point. They have good prices, $25 for an oil change which is the usual these days. $10 to plug the tire which is pretty good too. Was not a bad experience for the first time going. Would go back for other service. Would be nice if they made the waiting area a little nicer. That's what stopped it from being 5 stars. read more
