This place is absolutely beautiful during Christmas time. It makes you feel like you're in an episode of some show on HGTV. Even if you don't plan on buying anything it's so amazing to just look around. The sales staff is extremely friendly and more than willingly to help. It's a super confident location just passed the outlets and there's always plenty of parking. It's a great place for moms to escape and to shop while the kids are at home. Treat yourself to a trip to Dewaynes and you won't be disappointed! My favorite stand is the simply southern area! They also have vineyard vines. read more

During Christmas I bought several items for my family and they have enjoyed everything. The store was beautiful and the workers there answered all of my questions and were very helpful to me in finding all the things I was looking for. This store was very clean and organized. I always love coming here, but I really love coming during all the holidays, they always have some top quality merchandise and when I purchase gifts for family and friends they always ask where I got their presents from. I just love this store to pieces! They have a little bit of everything to please the southern heart. It's a southern girls heaven. They carry a lot of name brand stuff. Costa, Yeti, Rainbows ect. Lots of nik naks, Clothing, sunglasses, flip flips. Have a huge garden and sale sections. Definitely worth the stop. Convenient go 95. read more

I've been here a few times. Most recently Nov of 2017. I love Christmas shops. This place is huge and does have popular southern clothing, a sweet shop and gifts. As much as I like to wander thru the Christmas area, I do have a major pet peeve with DeWaynes. Based on my unscientific but thorough reading of labels, I venture to say that 95% or more of the Christmas items sold are made in China. I find this to be very disappointing. The Radko ornaments are made in Poland but I couldn't find any other Christmas items not made in China. read more

Do not expect service after the sale and it does not matter how much you paid for a Christmas tree.

Tried to take back a couple of Christmas items two days after purchase on 17th of December. Drove 1 hour to do so. Was told signs in the Christmas area said no returns after 15th. No signs were seen by anyone in my group. Receipt did not indicate any timeline other than 14 day returns. Manager would not budge. Beware of this trap. Was excited about this place. Not going back and not recommending anymore. The professional way to handle is to post signs at regsiters and on receipts. Not in an obscure corner if any were still hanging up at all now. read more

Rude crass staff at the Pandora area. I also do not like to be followed with a book when I am looking at jewelry acting like I would attempt to steal this junk. If I were to buy anything or be interested in buying anything, I would let you know certainly without you breathing down my neck in an already cramped area. I will go elsewhere for my everyday wear jewelry. Train your staff better to deal in customer service. I did edit my original review because the point went completely over a few people's heads. Nice place. They have expanded significantly and there is a lot to see. They carry good brands, as has been mentioned. Along with the outlets, we stop by often when traveling through the area. However, that will cease. My wife bought a nice Xmas present there, a shirt, and it did not fit me. When I tried to return it, I was told they only have a 30 day return policy. They offered me half of what my wife paid for (a fairly expensive) shirt. We are not local to Goldsboro, so it isn't just a 10-15 minute drive to swing by and return anything. I called later to see if they may at least give me a store credit for the amount of the purchase, as I still did have the receipt. But they would not budge. They said other competitors also had a 30 day return policy. I called the company they named as a main competitor and was told they did in fact have a 30 day return policy. However, the competitor also said that 9 times out of 10, they would take items back anyway. Well outside of the 30 day window. Which, knowing the competitor, was exactly what I expected to hear. I'm sorry to say that DeWaynes is officially crossed off my list of places to shop. Too bad, as I enjoyed the store. read more

I frequent Dewaynes when I visit NC. I love their John Medeiros collection. However, I just encountered the nastiest, rudest sales person. Really what century are we living in! I purchased a Lizzie James necklaces, never once did she tell me it was a versatile necklaces. Basically, she had no communication for me! Bought a Christmas tree in 2017 that has a 3 years warranty on the lights and 10 years on the structure. Lights went out on the tree, so I call Dewaynes and explained the issue to Tina. I also, explained that I had the receipt as well as the card saying the tree lights are covered by a 3 year warranty. I was told since I bought the tree on sale, that the warranty was voided. What difference does it make what I paid for the tree? They should honor the warranty! Dealing with the manufacturer now. Will NEVER do business with these crooks again!!! Today was the first day I'd ever been to this store. I drove an hour. I wanted some plants for my new house and also to see what else they carried. I am a Registered Nurse and had money to spend, but then I noticed this man staring at me and following me around. It was very upsetting to me and I left without purchasing anything. The man worked there because I saw other staff people speaking to him as though they knew him. He was not even trying to hide his judgement. I was dressed appropriately and do not feel that I should have been followed like that. The only thing that may have caused him to follow me is that I am Asian American. Not white. That's very inappropriate for a business to do. Unfortunately, they lost a customer who may have come there frequently. Very upsetting!!!!! read more

I used to love shopping here until a problem with customer service on a Vera Bradley bag now has me thinking not so much. Even though this is a Gold store (buyer beware), I would still suggest buying direct from a Vera store or online. I had a problem with a bag I had just over 3 months and had been told when I purchased if I had any problems to come back. Well I did and was told they could trade it bag for bag but oh darn we don't have one in stock so we can't help you but you could try calling Vera Bradley direct. Nice way to pass the buck. No offer to order one in or go out of their way at all. They wouldn't even let me trade for another bag at the same price point or pay the difference on a more expensive bag. It wouldn't have been so bad but I have the accessories now to match that pattern. Thankfully, I did call Vera Bradley and the customer service there was A+++ top notch so if I buy a Vera Bradley again, I will go to one of their stores or online. With the lack of care and customer service I received yesterday, I will not go back to Dewaynes for any reason. This is so sad but businesses must learn that their customers will not tolerate a lack of customer service and we will use appropriate online resources to warn others to shop at their own risk and read and consider all online reviews before giving a business their money. read more

MADE MY LAST PURCHASE AS THIS STORE!!!! I use to love shopping at this store. I will not spend my money here again...I encourage you to read about my experience. I have shopped here for years. I purchase clothing, shoes, jewelry, decorative items, and plants at this store. I know they are more expensive, but I had enjoyed shopping there and loved the boutique. It's a great place as long as you don't have a return. I recently purchased a pair of shoes. Once I got the shoes home, I could not wear them due to a foot injury. I didn't get to return the shoes before I left town for an extended trip. Upon my return, I went straight to the store with the unworn shoes and my receipt. I missed the return date of 30 days by 3 days. I could most certainly understand this date had the item been considered seasonal. The shoes I purchased were a brand NEW line they just started carrying, in black, in one of the most common sizes. So it isn't as if they were not going to be able to sell them. The girl in the boutique was very flip about the return. She ask what appeared to be a manager about the timing..... there was no conversation, absolutely no attempt at customer service. They were arrogant, condescending and RUDE. So learn from my mistake. Paying higher prices does not mean that you will be dealt with in a professional and courteous manner. read more
