It says it has over 10,000 square feet of newly remodeled space. It has many rooms for birthday parties. It has basketball, pickleball an indoor playroom for the kids. It offers classes for adults teenagers and children. It even had a small arcade room. The area surrounding the recreation center is beautiful. Across the street is a large lake/pond with a water fountain with a walking trail. When you pull into this area it has a tree-lined road something you just don't see anymore. The facility had plenty of parking and was very clean and well maintained. It was a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy with kids everywhere playing and enjoying the beautiful weather we had that day. I wish we had something like this in Sanford, FL. I came during the morning in the last week of break before the semester starts, so it wasn't too packed, which made the workout even better. The equipment is solid, the staff are friendly, and there are so many services available for students and alumni alike. They have different session they do for two hours and you have to arrive within does sessions to be able to use the facility. There is a large swimming pool and a kids splash area with a slide l, they also have lifeguards on duty to keep everyone safe. The price is very reasonable and if you are a city of Oviedo resident it's a bit cheaper. Cons;I wish instead of doing sessions they would just open for an x amount of hours but overall it was fun experience for my kids.

It's not obvious when you drive by what a gem this rec center is out back. I highly recommend taking a nice cup of coffee or iced tea and going around back to sit on the porch. They have ceiling fans, large Adirondack chairs and a fabulous view of Lake Okahumpka and nature. One of my favorite places to read a book or the paper and just relax. There is also a small boardwalk that goes out over the water and a fire pit with chairs. If you live in the Villages and have an ID, you can also borrow the checkers/chess to play on the outside tables or play darts or a video game inside.

They have classes and activities on site and daytime trips around the Central Florida area that begin there. Trip prices cost less than what would be paid on your own and include transportation, lunch, and entry/ticket for the event. Also, the people who work there are professional and thoughtful. If the event is full, you can be placed on a wait list, and someone will call if there is a cancellation. You are missing out on fun and interesting things to do if you fail to check out what is offered.

Great guys very friendly and got to meet the owner and he as well is a great guy we all had a great time hanging out and shooting the breeze We stayed in a cabin that had 3 sets of bunk beds, sink. dishes, bathroom w/ shower. didnt use the obstacle course but it looked fun, I spent my time on the range shooting 22, 380, 40 and an AK or was it an AR, anyway, great targets oh yea and my first time shooting a 12G at clay pigeons (got'em all). Anyone looking to practice their firearms this is the place to do it. The range is a goo distance from the camp site and they even have a 1 mile range. Tell'em Goose sent you :-)

There is one tennis court which has been available on most occasions when I come. There is a fishing pier over the lake also seems popular with a few fishermen. The only drawback there are no large trees to make shade over the tennis court and playground. On hot sunny days it is very hot and hard to use. Other parks have canopies over the playground which would be nice to have. Second it would be nice if park personnel would blow off the sand and gravel off the tennis court. Overall nice park.
