Spin is such a fun, awesome workout!
Jessenia J.

Honestly, this gym is the best gym in the whole Orlando area! I'm not just saying that because I'm a UCF student. If you come see it you will completely agree! It have 2 floors, a running track in the second floor, a large weight area in the first flour, a large cardio machine are in the 2nd floor. They also have a Subway and a smoothie place. There's around 3 basketball courts that can be use for multiple sports, around 3 racket ball rooms, a lap pool with lifeguards, and a rock climbing wall! Not only is the facility beautiful, clean, and we'll organize but they have knowledgeable workers walking around ensuring you don't get help or there to help you. They also have personal training, group training, and you get get a body assessment. There's a spin room and a two group exercise room. I love coming here for group excercise classes such as Cardio Dance Hype, Kickboxing, Hardbodies, Trampoline fitness, and more. They offer so many classes all throughout the day. They are super fun and a awesome workout. They have such a great variety of equipment that there's somethibg for everyone. You don't have to be a student or faculty or alumni to get a membership. I highly recommend this gym!

Always busy and crowded, especially at the beginning of the semesters. A ton of ellipticals and treadmills don't work and never get fixed and so many lockers have been broken forever. I like that it's clean and has a lot of equipment but going at certain times sucks unless u go at like 6 am. If you go to ucf it's free so that's why I go. It's a good gym they just need to fix the machines and lockers and I would be a lot happier.

I will start with this - I personally enjoy the equipment at this location, however, that is the…read moreONLY good quality about this place. I have been working out for years at multiple gyms and NEVER had issues like this. To start - in my signup process, I was upsold for personal training a ridiculous amount of times. I said NO at LEAST 20 times and was firm on that answer, however that seemingly was NOT an option for me. I was criticized for the way I train, my girlfriend was criticized, and berated for how we work out in order to try to sell us training that we were clearly not wanting. After this grueling process, we realized this gym is way too overcrowded, and no matter where you turn, you WILL be recorded by someone. There are so many tripods anywhere you look, in front of the machines, in the walkways, in the free weights, and you cannot escape people recording you from any angle. After I decided I was tired of waiting an hour for a bench press, I decided to cancel my membership. However, the process of cancelling had to drag out at least 30 minutes. The staff dragged their feet, could not figure out their own systems, tried to convince me not to leave, walked away various times in the middle of our conversation to address other guests, and were very unprofessional. I would not recommend this gym to anyone, and will never set foot in a Crunch again from this experience. The only reason this is a 2 star review is because of the unique equipment, but otherwise, I would rate give this place a negative rating if I could.

So far so good! I…read morewas a bit bummed when I got an email saying my gym had been bought out, since I had never been to a Crunch before and had no idea what to expect. But to me honest, it couldn't be any worse, right? 24Hour was not in the best shape. The cable machines were always broken or didn't have carabiners to attach gear to, the seats were torn, the roof was leaking, and the bathrooms were usually down. I started going to the next closest Crunch and I was blown away. Not only working toilets but machines! Tons of machines! And in good condition! It gave me some hope for the former 24Hour location near UCF. Thus far, I am really stoked at all the positive changes. Crunch has brought in so many new machines that I'm confused on what some of them even do. I used to know exactly where to go and now it's a whole new world. Crunch also removed the basketball court to make even more space for specialized equipment. Honestly, there were always arguments in the court and it was not a good use of space. Keeping the gym open DURING a reno can be a bit chaotic as they are making space to lay new pieces of flooring or bring in new equipment, but the awesome new stuff outweighs the inconvenience. Speaking of inconvenience, I have to say I was bummed that Crunch really shortened the hours on weekends. I walked in at 650 and was told they would be closing in 10 minutes. Part of the appeal of 24Hour was well, that it was 24 hours. This means you have to be tactical with how you structure your weekends if you also plan on getting in a lift. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Today was my second visit to Body Tech and my rating is really closer to two stars. What I dig…read moreabout this "gym" is that it is family owned and it feels like a neighborhood gym where folks know each other and you feel like you're a part of the local community. On the weeknight I went, they even had children working out (football players and cheerleaders? in separate rooms). Here's my beef, today (Saturday 9 AM), our boot-camp instructor (doesn't work for Body Tech- I think he rents time there to teach his classes) wasn't there. I learned that one of his students, who is training to be a exercise instructor, would take over the class. Okay, no biggie. I showed up for a workout and I got one; it didn't matter to me who taught the class. Because our instructor wasn't there, the teacher from the previous class (before ours) had a key to Body Tech and did not feel comfortable allowing us to stay without an official instructor/key. After multiple texting between several parties, we were permitted to stay and work out. I heard that in the past, this bootcamp class had to do their session outside because there were no staff at the gym. During our work out, two separate people showed up for work outs scheduled with staff from Body Tech. One of those people stayed for 10-15 minutes and then left. The other person waited for about 10 minutes before his trainer showed up. This is my first experience with a gym that is not corporate owned, so this maybe is how it works. I'll skip the Saturday classes and stick with the weeknight workout when I know the doors will be open and instructors are present.

The staff at BodyTech is great! Perfect for all levels of training. Sports specific training like…read moreno where else.

It's excellent for all over toning (way more arms than I would have imagined) and I feel like it's the deepest core work I've ever done. Another thing I love is that you can take so many different types of classes. My favorite is flow but you can do more cardio focused, stretching focused and more. The instructors each have their own style and it's fun to pop in and try a class with everyone to find your favorites. If you've ever considered reformer Pilates, give Club Pilates a try -- your intro class is free!
