I've been using Dewey since moving to the High Desert in 2012. I appreciate how they call ahead to verify times and work around my schedule, when necessary. I've always had the best reps. My current rep, Christophe, is always on time and allows me to adjust the service as the need dictates. He is always professional and always takes a moment to ask me about my day and talk to my dog. Rick was the person who sprayed our business. He was great. My biggest complaint is everyone else. Their collections department is horrid. Even after I paid a bill, they would send another bill claiming I never paid. I called every month explaining that I already paid the bill and sent them copies of the check and receipt. Yet again, next month, they would claim I still owe them money. This happened 4-5x. After I received a bill saying I haven't paid for 3 months, I cancelled future services until they get the bill correct. Instead of correcting it, they continued billing me for months they didn't spray, sent my "outstanding" bill to corporate, cancelled my contract and billed me for cancellation fee, and sent me a notice of collections to my credit. I spoke with a supervisor and their excuse was that there was a change in management and that it takes time for payment to be processed. They gave me a choice of restarting another contract or pay the cancellation fee. I refuse to start another contract with such an unorganized company. Stay away unless you feel like paying for services only to have claim you didn't pay and your credit threatened. read more

Same problems as the person under me and when I am in the office trying to close the account, you would think the people in the office could tell you the full amount owed. Instead they send you angry letter about collections for small amounts of cash. Very disappointed with the sevice I had. Save yourself some drama. read more

I really appreciate the service that I've received from Dewey Pest Control, starting with their sales representative, Matt, to my service tech, James, who is willing to work with our crazy schedule. I'm also impressed with the follow-up from the office staff to insure that my questions and concerns have been answered. I also like that the communication between the individual departments has been very organized. Billing has been spot-on, so far, and I'm very pleased with the professionalism of this organization. I no longer see ants in my kitchen, black widows in my shed and garage, and wasps on my property! The most important part, they addressed the safety of my dogs! I thank you for this peace of mind! TERRIBLE DO NOT USE, Poor messy work The office Staff are rude and do not how to use there computer scanners, holding up everything at escrow . And two weeks to get the right report to escrow also. A tech went out with a small area to be treated and a couple months later, a extension was needed. They sent another guy with all this unneeded work they claim needed to be done, at a high dollar, in my opinion.. I have been with Dewey pc for a long time. Matt was our tech for most of it and he really knew his line of work. I had heard that he left due to injury and hope and pray that he recovers well. I was a little concerned with his replacement "Jon" because he had some really big shoes to fill. Not to worry Matt... It's as if Jon was personally trained by you! Jon came by today and did a "booster" spraying and continued to educate us on the process and made us feel at ease over the Summer pests. I can employ any number of pest control services and probably be just fine. What separates Dewey is the customer service and personal relationship that is exhibited when the job is performed. He always has great customer service and is always willing to come out last minute for matters that to most can wait but I'm a worry wart. The guy Jesse M. who signed us up was Fantastic! He was so nice and answered any questions I had. I have to be honest in saying our service was off to a rough start.There were some issues with billing. I kept getting bills even though I paid. There was also issues with the guy who came to spray our home. He would call, but wouldn't show up :( I later found out that he had been fired and they were sending replacements to fill in for him. But, since they have replaced him we have a new guy named Jessie (yup same name as the guy who signed us up but different guy). He's been great!!! He calls a day or two in advanced and always shows up in the time he says he will. He's very nice and respectful! I give Dewey 3 stars, but I give both Jesse's 5 stars to average 4. I would rather prefer to give them ABSOLUTELY no stars as they are horrible. Their customer service sucks, technicians are incompetent, and their phone reps have bad attitudes. I have made 3 service requests for my technician to spray inside my home due to recent bugs that have been in my house. How can they expect people to afford to pay them, but work at the same time? What company only offers 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday service times? Ridiculous. Then when I make arrangements to ensure someone is at my house, the technician doesn't come at the given time and still only sprays outside. That won't kill the ants that are already inside my home. What am I paying for if Dewey refuses to adhere to their own policy. I requested to cancel my contract and I was told I needed to give a 30 day written advanced notice. WTH. Really? My experience has always been great ,I started Dewey Pest about 6 years ago .I have had a few different guys come out .And they was able to get rid of my ant problem. And keep them away. Any time I have a problem I just call and they come right out .Sometimes the same day. My guy who comes out now is Adrian and I'm very happy with him . Went to Dewey Office in Victorville, CA to cancel my pest control service for poor service in spraying, the last straw included two cancelled re-sprays from them in between monthly services. The Supervisor happened to be listen to my complaint to the Secretary, he asked if there is anything he can do to resolve the problem. The Supervisor told me that the Jr. Supervisor would be with the technician the next day at 3p to resolve the problem and to fix any wrong doing they may have caused. The next day came, 3p came and went, 310p called Deweys Office to explain no one has showed and said she would call and she what was going on. 330p came- No phone calls to say they are coming, running late, Nothing! I called Dewey to let them know I was going to Cancel my Service as attended also, to call Jr. Supervisor/ Technician to Not come to house, it is 340p now. The Jr. Supervisor calls me at 345p, asks if there is anything he can do to fix this??? Sounded familiar, just what the Supervisor said yesterday!!! read more

Horrible service . I called to schedule an appt the lady explained the tech will call and confirm. I said ok I need someone to call to confirm my appt time. No one called I wasn't home . Second appt I took all day off Ruby said it was an all day appt. NO ONE SHOWED. Today I call to see why the tech never showed.. Ruby said "the tech said he apologized it slipped his mind" wth? Started service and was told by technician Albert that he would be back in 10 days . Two months later they leave a voice mail saying they will be out for service. I Called and told them no! I no longer wish to have them come out when they never came back in the first place when stated. And girl on phone tells me sorry there must of been a scheduling problem. And what you figured it out two months later? I think not. Let her know I do not want them coming back at all and she simply says " alright I will let the technician know" Then the technician calls and told him the same then and he states "you will have to put it in writing" . No! And next call comes from Joseph Perez "Branch Manager". When he was told no there is nothing he could do to fix nor change my mind his attitude changes and tells me I have to pay a cancellation fee and if I don't he will send us to collections. Good luck with that. He said they do it all the time. So with that "all customers should consider rudeness when their company is rejected", And he hung up on me. Great Management Mr. Perez! Living in the High Desert, I had an on-going battle with ants for many years. I used numerous products, but had limited periods of success. I was contacted by Dewey Pest Control and finally gave in to try the service. I have been using Dewey for over 10 years now and truly believe the cost is worth it. Matt has been our service Rep since we started and has provided excellent, professional, and friendly service. Dewey Pest Control provides competitive rates in relation to the other local companies. We rarely have any of the ant invasions any more, but on those very rare occasions, Matt will quickly respond to take care of business. If I should ever have a thought of canceling the service, I think my wife would hire an exterminator me. Needless to say, we have recommended Matt and Dewey Pest Control to our friends. read more

So salesman comes to the door and encourages me to have my ant problems eradicated for a year for a fee of $115.00...($39.00 with $80.00 due the next month) In turn Dewey would come and spray my home quarterly. The salesperson failed to tell me about the ADDTIONAL QUARTERLY fees of $80.00.... I live in The Meadowbrook Apt and every 3months they come and spary and it never really kills them all but makes them manageable, well thees last 2 times the pest guy didn't even spend 10mins in my house but initially bugs seemed to die..then 2 days later an explosion of roaches hit us, my last spray was Monday its now Friday and my house seems more infested now than befor he sprayed what ever he is doing, or using IS NOT WORKING!!!!!! I was really disappointed today. I woke up to an ant invasion and called Dewey. They will only respond on Saturday in the event of an emergency. So I ask what amounts to an emergency to a pest control company if it's not thousands of pests throughout my house. The response, "Uhhhhhhhh .... ". So I waited to hear the answer. Finally, "Well I guess if someone ingested pesticide". Yeah ... No ... I'm calling the ambulance if that happens NOT Dewey. Service has been pretty haphazard over the years and it seems every two months we have a new tech come out. This last year or so we've had a lot of bugs, spiders, and ants, but I've been dealing with it on my own. I've been too lazy to switch services. Today was the final straw. When I finally do call for help, you gotta to show. Thanks to Yelp I found Protech Pest control and signed up with them. They came out in an hour. If I could I would give this office zero stars. They are absolutely horrible at caring for their customers. I started with them a couple of years ago and Matt the technician was amazing. Due to budget I had to cancel for about 6 months. I was so happy with Matts work I went back and spoke to a girl in the office. I had an ant problem and was told I would receive a call within a day, well no call. Called office spoke to same girl who stated she placed my concern higher up.... Still no call and I continue to get the run around from the same girl in the office. Do not waste your money this is a horrible business and apparently there is only one office person. read more

Beware of DEWEY Pest Control. We had no pest control issues but when we had a door to door salesman come by we thought we'd be preventative. Their services infested us with ants in our kitchen & pantry. We called them back 4 TIMES to come back & fix the issue. They never could. When we called to cancel their services they said we were part of a contract & had to pay an early cancellation fee. This is almost a year later that we are still dealing with the repercussions from their horrible customer service & exorbitant fees. Even though my husband called back in October & they said that they had taken care of it & our account was zeroed out, I am now getting collection agency calls about this. They are incompetent liars who should not be able to charge people to go into their homes & bring bugs with them & not be able to remove them. Buyers Beware!! read more

I don't have their service but had someone come to my door trying to sale it. Since I was in my nightwear I said no thank you through the door. The next thing I hear is this guy yelling at the top of his lungs about their service I guess. My daughter was in the shower and could hear him and ask what was going on. I opened the door a little and said what do you want. He then went on about the people behind me were going to spray and the bugs could come to my house so they had this special. I said I'd talk with my daughter since it was her house. Well as far as I'm concerned I wouldn't call them if they were the last bug company in the world. This guy was rude to stand outside my door yelling. If someone says no thank you LEAVE if they need someone they'll find you. I then remembered I had called them a couple years ago about a mouse problem. The guy came out went to the attic and said he saw mouse tracks. I ask what should be done. His first response was to come in pull all the insulation out of the attic spray then have them come in on a regular basis. When it didn't resolve anything, they literally told me to call someone else because they can't do it. Told me that I jumped the gun by hiring them. II signed up for Dewey pest control when Adam still worked there, now that Adam is gone the guy they send is awful! He calls very last minute and doesn't give me a time frame so I have to wait around for him all day. If he comes and I happen to not be home he sprays only the front of my house...$66 for the front of my house to be sprayed? When I am home and he sprays he asks me several times, "the inside too?" Like he doesn't want to do it...I'm like yes sir this is your job. I heard Adam opened his own company and I wish I could find it! I don't think they actually used pest controlling chemicals because their stuff DID NOT WORK! When the tech came back to do the job correctly he was extremely rude as he did his work. He set a return appointment and did not show up for it. I waited all day long and a month later the office called wanting to know why I didn't let him in to fulfill the contract. This used to be a reputable company but if this is the best they can do they should fold up now. I will only give a good review for Freddie he was great overdid his job and was very personable. My cancellation of their services came from them sending me a tech that did half the work Freddie would do and I had more bugs after this other guy left. I tried to resolve it with the office but they obviously aren't trained to care much.. Now they are threatening to "take legal action " if I don't pay them for their services when I didn't confirm them to come out and only 1/4 of the outside of my house was accessible .. I work in the hvac service world and I know what's legal they can't charge unless I agree and sign . I don't object to paying for services but I want a good company as a whole in my home not just one guy. He should open his own everyone obviously wants him. It's sad though how corporate companies don't care about their customers . They just use their name ... Too bad. read more

I wish I would have read these reviews before using Dewey Pest Control to do the termite inspection on the listing I have in escrow right now. This is the worst customer service I've ever dealt with in my 25 years as a real estate agent/broker. I've been trying to deal with them for a month now in getting the service and clearance done and they just keep dragging their feet. The escrow is overdue to close and they are holding it up, but I can't get any cooperation to move faster. Started with Dewey about 3 years ago and had good service thanks to Kendrick who was very conscientious about his work. To properly treat my property would take around 20 minutes. The middle of last summer, i started to see live healthy cockroaches( American, German). I called for another treatment and found out Kendrick did not work there anymore and they were sending someone else. I was leaving my house and saw the truck pull in my driveway and I came back within 5 minutes. The tech was already gone!!! SPLASH AND DASH!!! The next day I still had live healthy bugs in my house!!. I promptly called to cancel service and was informed that i owed for the service( was set up for bi monthly service). I told them I refused to pay because of the unsatisfactory service. A few months later after receiving a bill from them, I get a notice that my account was sent to collections!!! (It was payed within the required time to avoid the hit on my credit). I truly believe that most business will experience some sort of negative response at one time or another and how they respond is what dictates a bad business from a good one. Guess which one Dewey is!! Buy DemonMax and a good back pack sprayer on line and spray yourself( My results are excellent, just as good as when Kendrick worked there) results last 6 to 8 weeks with dead bugs making it no more than 1 foot past the base boards towards the 6 week mark and a whole lot less money... read more
