I tried various mattresses--Loom & Leaf, Naturepedic, and Savvy Rest. I liked the zoning that Obasan offers and hoped it would offer targeted back support. My hopes have borne true. This is probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on--enveloping and yet also still firm. Even though one can normally expect a period of adjustment, I've had no adjustment issues as yet. I woke up feeling better than I have in as long as I can remember. For those of you who can't try out this bed in person (I was one of these customers), I wouldn't let this deter you if this mattress is within your budget. Obasan's representative told me that the majority of their sales are over the phone. After taking information about their client (height, weight, sleeping position, age), they have a "formula" for how to configure your bed. Even in instances when I have personally tested out mattresses that felt comfortable in the showroom, I have often been disappointed after sleeping on the mattress later. I learned that testing out a mattress in person is no guarantee that the mattress will work; in my case, the majority of those purchases actually didn't work for me in the end. Obasan has a 90-day exchange period as well to make any adjustments to the latex components. I liked being led through the process and feeling like I was being personally taken care of. Their bedding is also the most exquisite I've personally seen. Their summer wool duvet was just gorgeous (I just bought another one I like it so much), and the mattress protector constructed with attention to detail. This may read as an effusive post, but after a rather wearying experience over the past five months trying out different mattresses, it's difficult to suppress my happiness.

Told the manager I had a King Coil Pillow Top and loved it. Problem was I bought a bed and the frame made the deep mattress too high. I told him I had severe arthritis from shoulders to feet and had to avoid all pressure points. No problems he says, we have mattresses for everyone. He then proceeds to thrash all other mattress factories and how much better theirs were with the independent coils. He suggested a semi-firm for me. I tried it for a week and absolutely hated it. He says try it for 30 days. After 30 days I can barely walk from back pains from the mattress. He offered to sell me a mattress pillow top at their cost but if it had to be returned to be made soft, it would be a market value. I received another mattress which was supposed to be soft but I felt no difference at all. That was my last chance and am now stuck with a brand new expensive mattress I cannot use. So much for fitting the mattress to you. Finally I went back to Mattress Mart and bought another King Coil Pillow Top. It is still too high but at least I can get up straight in the morning and carry on with my day after finally a good night's sleep. Very Disappointed

I live in Barrie, Ontario and they delivered and set up for $150. It took me a few weeks to change to sleeping on my back (a side sleeper for 60+ years) so I could use the Zero Gravity setting. No more snorting and my sleep has been the best sleep. More REM sleep and I wake up totally rested. For the first time in my life, I look forward to bedtime. This was written after 3 months of use and I have never been happier with a purchase.

I don't know how to find what I need, too much stuff. Too many huge aisles. This location, I always get a great parking spot in front as it's never busy. In late summer, I remember coming here also to grab corn and other fresh farm things from a stand in the lot. Handy. Yummy. The down side here is that there is no one asking if you need help and staff at the register are not that knowledgeable. It's also very expensive. Selection not great (even re light bulbs) BUT, they do have some unique things that I've only seen here. Some in housewares, would make great gifts. I grabbed the mug I took a pic of below as an example. Anyways, I've bought many an item here and I know I'll be back. Convenience gets it 3 stars.

It's still not a huge store, and the customer service section (round desk in the centre of the store) is still where it used to be. At least this store sells some lumber, and tiles. My complete kitchen remodel was handled seamlessly within 2 months from our first initial meeting and all from in our own home!! Amazing guidance with step by step process by this contractor with our total design we had planned for our new kitchen footprint and layout to cabinet selections and stone countertop selections, prestigious carpentry skills, drywall finish and plumbing to the tiling of backsplash, and our hardwood floor installation of the complete main level entrance to our new kitchen along with complete construction of a wall we had removed for a more open concept. They handled all city building permits seamlessly and the 2 onsite meetings with the city building code inspectors. From my 1st conversation to the final days of the project, the entire crew were always available to answer all my questions, on time, and professional. They cleaned up all the debris left daily and made it easy for our family's evening use of the kitchen. We were left only 2 days without a functioning kitchen, amazing experience ! This past summer we had a disaster: a rainstorm soaked the floor and the wall under the window in…read moreour basement guest room. Even worse, it happened days before we were scheduled to leave for a long-awaited trip to see extended family. We really didn't want to miss it. Fortunately we knew this was a good contractor as they had done some excellent work for us previously. These guys came right away and got to work. We left on schedule. They ran tests and identified the type of mold present in the wall. Unfortunately moisture had been seeping in and/or condensing in all the foundation walls for some time, they discovered. They removed the mold and got the proper machines to dry and decontaminate the place. We decided to redo just about the whole basement, if they were up for it, and they were. They added various measures to prevent any future mold and improve energy efficiency, like waterproof insulation and regrading outside. And they added an egress window, backflow valve, some nice pot lights, and beautiful laminate flooring. All the work was completed promptly and to a high degree of quality. We are very happy with our basement and would not hesitate to recommend Forever Kitchens as a contractor.

Overall satisfied with the installation of carpets but would not return as a customer to this…read morelocation and likely any other location due to poor customer service. Installed product was done as I expected, and the install team was very professional and met my expectations. To note but was not an issue for me, the installers arrived a ¾ of an hour into the installation window and install took marginally longer than expected window, but were clearly working to their capacity, just the estimation was likely off. Customer service was below an expected level. During measurement, Chris Foley (Manager) did not take any Covid 19 precautions, and closed into within 2 meters from myself, resulting in me having to take precautions from him vice him from me in my residence. Managed to not touch much but did help himself to sit at a table. Not satisfactory in todays world and resulted in the customer having to do work to sanitize after his departure. Manager attempted to up sell me to resurface more than was requested, using the safety of my kids and the dangers of hardwood floors as the rational to resurface more of the desired spaces. This is an incredibly low tactic which in retrospect should have made me reconsider conducting business. I was only provided an invoice once I demanded on the day of installation, with the manager suggesting that the carbon copy previously provided was sufficient. My insistence of a line by line invoice seemed to be a large inconvenience for the manager but he indicated that he thought it had been previously sent. When questioned about lack of clarity of the invoice, the manager became curt and aggressive towards my wife, and did not want her to transfer to me, assessed as my wife as an attempt to bully her. When transferred to me, his first statement being that he would pull the team off the project immediately and how dare I question someone who has 35 plus years of experience. This is a bully tactic and should not be in tolerated in the current world. The manage refused to listen to me, cutting me off by saying that he would answer my questions, despite me not yet finishing my sentence. I never actually was able to ask my question and ultimately did not receive satisfaction to my questions. Of concern, the manager had a series of answers to provide prior to being asked which indicates that he often receives questions signalling that there may be a pattern of the business not be providing information until asked for it. Despite the understanding that the customer was to remove the existing carpet "lift the carpet on the Invoice", on the day of the install I was informed that I was to coordinate the disposal of the old carpet. Minor inconvenience but something that could have been done prior had the expectations been better laid out. The manager accepted that he did didn't articulate this nor that he put it on the carbon copy invoice, suggesting that disposal costs the major portion of the $0.50 per sq ft that they charged vice labour to remove the carpet, underlay, and staples. An efficient business may have offered to do amend the contract and add the disposal at $0.50 per sq ft to make profit, but it was not offered possibly not possible due to final payment was processed prior to start of the job. Overall more of an annoyance but very much encapsulates the customer service provided. Recommend anyone using this business avoid dealing with the manager, or conversely go to the other location on Merivale Rd, as it is 20 minutes away and has much better reviews.
