YES - KITCHENS! Their creations are absoluty divine! I was convinced to use their services simply by what they have on display. I thought we could buy what they were showing, bring it home and put it in, but then we talked to Debbie... OMG what an experience! She came to our house, measured the space, and asked us what features we wanted to put in our own kitchen, then drew it all out on paper. The price of the quote she was able to provide us was very comparable to what other companies are offering even though this kitchen is all hand made, but it was also soooo much more - begining with the fact that it was built out of solid wood instead of pressboard or melamine. Add to that the many features built into it, which puts this kitchen way over and above what anyone else is offering! This kitchen MAKES the house! Put it this way: where most kitchen design companies and box store cabinet providers charge for any improvements over the shape of your boxy cabinets, the Amish store will build cupboards that fit in your kitchen, and will include so called upgrades such as that little shelf below the sink to hold rubber gloves, sponges, and your jewellery while you wash dishes; a spice drawer with shelves in it; pot drawers; recycling containers; up and down slats to hold your bakeware; and a roll-out cutting board and anything else you can think of. If you are considering kitchen designs - whether to upgrade your current kitchen, or for a new home build - I strongly urge you to compare with what the Amish Store has to offer. And PS: If by chance you have NOT heard of them, I strongly suggest you make a trip out to see them - even if you're not looking for a kitchen or furniture! Balderson is an enjoyable drive out in the country. Why not make a day of it? Take in the cheese shop, grab a bite to eat in the cafe, or go to the local tea room. So, in the summer, I drove to Balderson and spoke with a sales person who, at the time, was unable to give me a price on the table and chairs that I wished to order. She took my name and e-mail address in order to send the information to me. Well, I have never received an e-mail or telephone call. I am surprised by the lack of respect for a potential customer. I had planned to buy multiple rooms of furniture but given the lack of respect I have been shown, I won't be returning. I'll take my business to a store which shows some respect for its customers.

It's incredibly frustrating to invest so much in a sofa that just can't hold up to normal use. I live 35 km far from the store. its wasting of my time, harassing me a lot.. I will not buy anything from here for sure.. It is now 14 weeks later and we still do not have our furniture. Multiple phone calls to the owners have been made and we still do not know when we will receive our table and chairs. We were led to believe that our furniture was being made by the owners and they finally admitted during my last phone call to them that our order has been out sourced. Where and to whom I do not know. I made a down payment that I truly regret making. I will never purchase anything from the Emporium again and caution everyone to avoid custom orders at this store because the owners over promise, raise expectations, and do not meet their deliverable deadline. Further, they have misrepresented themselves as on site furniture makers. We fell for a great sales pitch and are now dealing with poor excuses. We have a sinking feeling that we may never receive our table and chairs. If the owners treat everyone this way, they do not deserve business.

When we put the stove in, the handles stuck out too much impeding the cupboard door from opening. I asked if we could exchange it for another model that wouldn't be as deep. This might be the best customer service experience I've ever had…read more I went in with a friend to purchase his very first "adult bed" (i.e. not one from Ikea), and we were greeted by Suki, a lovely woman with over 17 years experience. She asked us so many questions, try out several beds and literally covered everything from how he sleeps and how it would affect his sleep, to pillows, sheets and bedframes. We walked out of there with everything - pillow and mattress covers, mattress and boxspring, sheets, a cold gel pillow, special lower bed frame, warranties and all. The best part? We didn't feel swindled at all. Great prices combined with sweet, funny and individualized customer service made it an actual joy to shop there. I seriously can't recommend this place enough if you're looking for a new bed, pillow or accessories. Parking is behind the building off of Fairlawn.

That he made a critical error in entering a Queen sized mattress on the delivery slip rather then the Full size I had purchased was rectified by a simple phone call. The subsequent delivery experience was satisfactory. The two delivery men brought the new mattress up to my condo, removed the old mattress and put the new one on my bed frame. I (used to) have reason to be in the Kanata Centrum mall on a regular basis (and I look forward to eventually going back, but for now, stay home!) I was early for my 6:30 rendez-vous elsewhere in the mall, so I took a stroll through this huge furniture outlet. There are lots of windows in this store, and lots of lamps lighting the space, many couches and other seating arrangements, and dining room tables with chairs. I was greeted by a salesperson at the front, who was friendly and helpful. He advised that the store had been open for quite some time (around 1 year), which surprised me as I had not yet been in. Mind you, we are not really in the market for furniture at this time, but it's always good to be aware of what is out there in the way of accent pieces. I was impressed not only with the size of this store, but the variety of pieces. There were many that I would consider taking home, from art pieces, like artsy metal horses and centerpiece bowls for the table, and cute round chairs with a small table that would be so cute in a corner of a room. There was a gorgeous chandelier for about $1,000. I will bear this place in mind for the next time we need furniture or home decorations, and have more time to browse!

Some of the Homesense/Winners/Marshals stores get a little chaotic after the shoppers have had time to go through everything and shuffle the clearance items around, but the staff at this store seem to be working really hard to keep this location spiffy. This shopping area of Stittsville has been really well planned out - the parking lots are well organized, there is a good use of roundabouts to separate the areas and help to prevent that "I Got Here First" Stop-Sign issue, and the assortment of stores is very useful.
