So, I continued on to give more information, upload documentation and link my bank account as they requested since it said I was approved. After all this, it stated that a loan specialist would reach out to me. Within an hour or so, someone at the Lake Worth location called me and asked me even more questions. Finally.. after all this.. she ends up telling me that the APR is 29%! What???!! It said I was approved for 14%! If I had known from the beginning that it was 29%, I would have never given them all of that additional information. SCAMMERS FOR SURE!

He noticed that my drivers license was going to expire next month and made mention of that! Great reminder because I was not aware. He wished me a happy birthday since he noticed my birthday was next month as well which is thoughtful but a plus because he pays attention to detail! He even arranged for their Merrill Lynch rep to contact us. Avoid weekend and after work crowds by using their app and ATMs that seem to be everywhere.

Without even taking the time to review the account, we were immediately told that a power of attorney was required to add someone and remove someone from the account who is not the account holder and unable to physically come into a branch--with no effort to understand the situation, and no attempt to help besides telling us our only option was to call customer service and have them send us paperwork to have notarized. To make matters worse, another employee chimed in to say they had to do the same thing, rather than actually reviewing our situation or offering any alternative solutions. It felt dismissive and unprofessional especially after being with Banknif America for over 30 years. Customer service should start with listening and taking the time to understand a customer's needs before giving direction. This experience did not reflect that at all.
