They are weirdly misogynist here. Say you're a woman, and you buy a vehicle. Just you, your name, your income. THEY WILL LIST IT UNDER YOUR HUSBAND'S NAME. He just happened to come with me when I made the purchase. You correct them as they will call you and ask for him for routine service. They'll acknowledge that its a pervasive "issue" affecting others, but won't fix it. Going on year 3 now. Also, yesterday, there was ice and snow during a prescheduled service appointment. She was sold the "CF5 Fuel Treatment" and the "friction modifier and detergent". Why would a brand new vehicle with 8,480 miles using 0W16 synthetic oil need either one of these? DO NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED HERE!!!!! I bought my car here about 6 years ago. That process was pleasant enough. When I bought it, they asked if I wanted an extended warranty. Usually I don't get extended warranties, but the salesman said if I bought the extended warranty, I would get free maintenance for as long as I owned it. So I got the extended warranty. I asked several times to clarify "free lifetime maintenance for as long as I owned the car". The salesman told me yes. Even when I made an appointment, it would still take about 3 hours for an oil change. Which is annoying, but it was covered, so it is what it is. They would also always try to pressure me into paying for other repairs and would seem annoyed when I would decline. If they take that long to change the oil, I don't even want to think about how long they would take for other repairs. Last week, I made an appointment for an oil change. When I arrived I was pressured for 10 minutes into doing other minor repairs. Which I declined again. Then the technician told me that my free service plan was only good for 6 years and was now expired. I told him it was supposed to be good for as long as I owned the car. He again said it was expired and that the salesman that lied to me about the lifetime maintenance plan wasn't there. The technician admitted that I was lied to. It was so frustrating. I will never go back here for anything. And the cherry on top, when I brought my car to Walmart for an oil change, they told me the oil filter was out on too tight and couldnt be removed without damaging the filter housing from the last oil change (which of course was at freeman Toyota).So now I have to find somewhere that will be able to get it off. Today's visit was to replace our battery (which we bought here a year ago). Ours has a two year warranty, thankfully. When I called to inquire about making an appointment I was told to just come to the service line and they'd take care of me. However, it turned out to be a few hours wait! We ended up changing the battery ourselves after they tested it to make sure it failed before warranting it out. I am grateful my husband knows how to do it otherwise I'd been waiting a few hours with a baby in tow. Every time we have come to Freeman, the customer service has been incredible!! But I HIGHLY and strongly advise making an appointment for everything. This location is extremely busy. We don't have time for oil changes here anymore because we don't live close and then the wait time is at least an hour on top of the hour drive. I deducted a star because it's just too busy for my family to continue making the drive and then waiting so long. Great business though! read more

I took my car in to Freeman Toyota for service and the folks were all very kind, helpful, and attentive. They even asked if I wanted my car washed! (Jaime did a great job and was very friendly!) Every time I have ever visited Freeman, for any reason, folks actually appear as though they like working at Freeman, and they act like it, too. Almost every time I arrive, I have been met at the door by some friendly fellow. Each of those friendly fellows has welcomed me, and opened the door for me. Joseph Okoh deserves special mention, he's always friendly and helpful! I've been to quite a few dealerships, in my time - before and after I bought a car from Freeman, all the folks have been really great! My salesmen, James Adu and Sam Scarlett are still very kind. I found a car I really liked. It had high mileage. Mom son-in-law recommended I talk to my credit union before buying. I filled out preliminary paperwork, with the prmice they would only do a soft inquiry, to find out what kind of interest rate they could offer. This was repeated and one of the last things I said before leaving was do not run my credit. I am not ready. There were witnesses to this as he answered back to me. No, we will not run a hard inquiry. Before I got home, it was already done. I called for two days, but the salesman was off work, so I tried to answer one of the many many messages. The dealership kept sending me. They were not talk to me. They just kept sending me more messages. When my salesman was back in the office, he called me and apologized to me. I told him I would not do business with that company until they reversed what they had done with the credit reporting agency. Because I had frozen my accounts only one got through. I don't even know how that happened but anyway. He told me he would talk to the sales manager and see what they could do. The next day I got another message from him are you ready to come in and buy your car and I'm like no I do not do business with the company that pulls crap on me like this. So anyway, long story short, the car is sold to somebody different and my credit rating still reflects their inquiry. I will never ever come there again. ever. I'm still looking for a car. They "collected" my personal information as a prerequisite to quoting a price for a used vehicle. They then took my drivers' license to get it copied. They brought it back to me and said they had to go "talk to the manager" for the quote. Less than 10 seconds later, they came back and told me the car was sold. They could have checked the availability of the car before they took the time to invade my privacy. I suspect they will sell my info based on how this interaction played out. I also suspect the car wasn't sold but they didn't want to quote or sell me the car because I told them I wasn't going to finance the car which would fatten their profit. I will pay more at at "no haggle" dealership in the future just to avoid this kind of BS. read more

Without any negotiation in a much more difficult time to get good pricing on vehicles, Tommy Chau gave me a fair price way below MSRP, and managed to give me fair value on my trade, which helps with sales tax. As one repair was needed due to a Toyota manufacturers mistake, Dusty Jager, Service Manager, made sure the repair was made regardless if Toyota would stand behind the repair. Avoid any chance of "dealer" games, by understanding how auto sales and service works, and take great care of your vehicle. Freeman Toyota will treat you well, and respect you and your knowledge! They made a $2000+ mistake on my 4Runner, replacing a wrong part and without authorization to boot. After supervisors dodging my calls for half a day one of them finally responded and made right on the repairs. Now I get home with my vehicle and my hood will not open. Wanted to love the place. Prompt service, great staff, etc. Everything went smoothly, went in for an oil change and a general diagnostic to figure out some intermittent engine trouble I was having. They got it done in 2 hrs and called me back and went through everything. Armando was great. However, upon returning, I notice something out of place - a giant crack through my windshield, something definitely not there prior to dropping off. Giving them the benefit of the doubt and the opportunity to make things right, I patiently waited for the manager Sean to come out and check. He then tells me that the crack came from a single point of impact that he had to show me with the tip of a pen to see, the slightest little divot in my windshield. A few minutes after discussing the HOW it happened, he says that I had signed a waiver prior to drop off stating that it is quote, "impossible" for them to have anything that would crack my windshield in their repair house/yard, and thus wouldn't be covering their damage. They simply pointed the blame to me for the small little indention and the obvious huge crack extending from it. They didn't deny that they broke my windshield, just said I started it while they finished it Thanks Freeman Toyota! Never returning if you can't do right by your own mistakes. This dealership service is worst I have seen in Dallas region. They have double standards and charge you differently if you are paying out of pocket or making a claim. I went there as I have a flat tire. The service department told me they have to change the tire. When I told them I have tire protection, they said they would patch it instead. They tried to completely rip me off some 500$ for new tire that was not needed in first case while I see they made a claim of 30$ to patch the tire. Further I had my tire pressure system malfunctioning because of the issue and rather than they fixing it as a part of process, they charged me 195$ extra for the service. Just for comparison the average cost to reset TPWS was 35-45$ and a simple google search would tell you that. I tried to talk to a customer service manager and someone that goes by name of "Shawn" who claimed to be a manager said I was unreasonable and unethical for asking them to fix it as a part of it since I don't have the problem previously. This guy clearly doesn't know how to behave with customers, completely rude and that shows how they give a damn about us. Do yourself a favor and avoid them if you can rather than falling into their scam and bait. read more

I recently leased a Tundra and after 2 weeks noticed that the dealership failed to provide a temporary liccense plate for vehicle in window. I immediatly called on a Friday and asked that they FED X the temporary plate on Saturday. I received a song and dance about they don't know if they can FED X. I politely asked that the temporary plate be sent on Saturday as I don't want to get pulled over and a get a ticket. The phone call ended, and I was not sure if they were going to send the plate as they made not commitment . No plate on Saturday, or Sunday from FED X. I called Monday and asked to speak with General Manager. General Manager not there, and they connected me to voice mail of assistant. I left a kind message about no plates and asked them to call. No call. I called late afternoon, and they said temp. plate had arrived late Monday and was out on my driveway in an envelope. Ken My complaint is that they did not provide me the plates the next day after first call so that I did not incur a ticket from police. You've gone the extra mile to ensure my comfort and happiness, and I couldn't be more grateful! On Thursday, May 18, 2023, I was heading to DFW Airport when my Tundra's check engine light comes on. A message comes across my display telling me to find a safe place to stop. My engine shuts off while I am still driving. This happened all in a matter of seconds. I was able to pull over safely to the shoulder of the roadway. I attempted to start my Tundra and it would not start. It wouldn't make any sounds at all. When I push the start button. Only the Accessory lights & radio would come on. The engine was not making any sounds and it wouldn't try to turn over. I wanted to have my Tundra towed to where I had purchased my Tundra at Shottenkirk Toyota of Weatherford but instead, I had to have it towed to the Freedom Toyota in Hurst. This turned out to be the best decision I could have ever made. Tim, who was appointed my service adviser called me on Friday morning. Tim advised me they would get my Tundra in their shop to see what the problem is. Tim follows up with me next week advising me that a gear in my engine had gone bad causing my engine to lock up. I was heartbroken that this could have happened to my 2022 Toyota Tundra but at the same time I understand it happens. Thankfully all this was covered under my warranty. Tim got my set up with a rental truck from Freeman Toyota free of charge. Since my engine was being replaced it took several months for Freeman Toyota to get all the parts they needed. Tim stayed in touch with me and kept me up to date throughout the entire process. Before my Tundra broke down, I had just had a custom grill made for my Tundra. Since my whole front end would be coming off my Tundra to replace my engine. I had asked Tim if they could put my new custom grill on my Tundra when they out it back together. Tim said it was not a problem and he didn't even charge me for them to do this. Tim got me in touch with Jeremy the Shop Foreman who was overseeing the work being done on my Tundra. Jeremy who went above and beyond to find the best solutions for me and my Tundra on installing my custom grill and installing the "Cancer Sucks" lighting on the grill that he didn't have to do but he did. Jeremy stayed in constant contact with me, making sure everything was how I wanted it. Jeremy's work was outstanding, and I was beyond impressed. On Friday, July 21, 2023, Jeremy contacted me to let me know that my Tundra was all fixed and ready to be picked up. When I arrived at Freeman Toyota to pick up my Tundra. Jeremy had my Tundra detailed and cleaned before I got there. While I Freeman Toyota I had the honor and pleasure to meet and talk with Marco the tech who did most of the work on my Tundra along with Dusty the Service Manager and Jeremy. Your unwavering dedication, professionalism, and kindness have not gone unnoticed. You've turned what could have been a stressful experience into a positive one, and for that, I am truly thankful. 2/26/23 Brake job on 2015 RAV4 $1,265.01; Replace Rotors. The Rotors went out less than a year. Don't take your vehicle to the Dealer for maintenance. The Dealer has incompetent workers that will Rip you off. Find a competent, honest and reliable auto mechanic shop. Stay far away from Freeman Toyota Body Shop they messed up my Liftgate by not installing it correctly and stay far away from the Freeman Service Center they have ripped me off on my Brake job on replacing my Rotors only to go out within a year. As I watched the line dwindle down I'm still waiting on service advisor whom never showed up. I asked a gentleman if he could remove his service cone from my vehicle because I was going to leave. He then went to try and get someone to help me. At this point what type of management allows this to happen? You called me in advance, woke me out of my sleep to remind me of my appt. Yet I show up 15 mins early and you still fail to service my truck. Apparently Freeman Toyota isn't interested in working with older people, Went there 5/22 to discuss purchasing a 2024 Grand Highlander. I was ready to buy. Went into the showroom and no one greeted me, or came by to see if I needed help. Even though I was walking around and getting into the vehicle in the showroom no one approached me. One guy, not 10 feet away sat on a computer too busy to talk. 2 employees in Toyota shirts stood by the front door discussing sports. No eye contact, nothing. I walked around the showroom, even stopped in the middle of the room looking for ANYONE to talk to. End result? 10 minutes in the showroom- ZERO contacts. Guess I'll go to Toyota of Ft. My current auto died without warning and I had to buy something immediately. My husband and I visited on Monday the 9th. AJ Camacho helped us and I have to say, I HATE car shopping! However, AJ was very knowledgeable and showed us exactly what we were looking for. He didn't try to steer us in his chosen direction but listened to what we had to say and found an excellent car! We made an appointment to go back the next day to fill out the paperwork and it was painless. We spent maybe a total of 15 minutes with the F&I guy and he also listened! Traded in my Highlander because pieces of the interior kept falling off. Got a 2020 Camry. Better on gas and smaller payment. I asked the salesman specifically if the car had the auto start capability like the highlander. He told me yea, just need the app and add this car to it. I only use it in the summer so come June I added the car to my app. Notification pops up "not compatible with this model" came in on my oil change and asked one of the manager what the deal was. He tells me it's not available on my model and there is a car toys down the street. He could care less. Why should I pay extra for a feature that was a selling point for the car that I'm already paying for. This is the second time Toyota has done me dirty to make a sale.
