The WORST consumer experience of my life! We bought a 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 from Jerry's Hyundai and we LOVED the car. The ICCU unit failed and the vehicle could not be driven. It was towed to to Jerry's Hyundai on May 19, 2025. It took them several days to determine what the problem was, then then I was told that they didn't know how to fix it and had to wait for the national repair problem center (or something to that effect) to get back to them. They finally figured out what was wrong with it the car and how to go about fixing it. At this time I was working with "Kim" at Hyundai National Consumer Affairs, and while she was very nice and sympathetic, she was not able to get the dealership to contact either me or her. Kim seemed to gather information from me to put together with information she was getting from the dealership but had no ability to actually help in any way. (BTW, the service advisor, Bobby Lewis, almost never answered his phone and the only way I could find out what was going on with my car was to visit him in person at the dealership). OK - NOW it's June 1 and get a call from Bobby Lewis telling my that the part had come in BUT the hail storm the night before did a lot of damage and that I should contact MY insurance company. It seems that your dealership only has insurance for their own cars, NOT their customers' cars. So.. I'm out the 500 dollar deductible for my own insurance. A few days later, I was also told by Kim that the dealership ordered the wrong part and it was not compatible with the car. After not getting any response from Bobby Lewis about when the new ICCU part would arrive, I went to complain to the General Manager, Doyle Maynard, of the dealership, he said that my wife and I were lying - I told him that "Kim" at the National Consumer Affairs told me that the first part was the wrong part, Doyle said that she didn't know what she was talking about and that they DIDN'T order the wrong part, and that Bobby called us on several occasions. His quote was "I saw the call sheets on the account." I asked him to see those call sheets and he said NO. - By the way, I have a recording of part of the conversation between myself and Doyle Maynard where he argued with me about who was telling the truth. This conversation was not pleasant and Doyle was very aggressive and tried his best to intimidate me and my wife. And I'm pretty sure that all the calls between myself and Kim from the HNCA department were recorded and could be reviewed. FAST FORWARD (actually SLOW forward) and my car was able to drive on July 11 (May19 to June 11) with $18,000 of hail damage. I took it to Jerry's Collision and finally got the car back on October 1, 2025. I must say that the people I worked with at the Collision Center were very nice and responsive, BUT they also made several mistakes that increased the time for the repair. Geico said "20 days" for the repair, Donnie Kern told me they were busy and said it would be more like "30 days". It ended up being 10 weeks! Josh Mayfield was very nice, and due to an error by one of the technicians, a critical part was thrown away and they had to find and order a new part which was going to delay the repair even more. Josh offered to pay our rental car fee from the time the discarded part issue was discovered until we got our car back. This was very nice of him to make this offer and he was always a gentleman and very responsive. Not at all the horrible experience we had at the service department with Bobby Lewis and Doyle Maynard! I'd say that the work that the Collision Center did was very good, but not quite excellent. I can still see some very minor non-smoothness where some of the dents were repaired, and the paint job on the new hood was not great. All in all, it was a truly horrible experience with Jerry's Hyundai and I will NOT be taking my car back to Jerry's Hyundai again, ever! read more

FRAUDULENT SALES PRACTICES - TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY. I only rate this dealership a "1" because I can't give a "0" or a negative number. My father in law purchased a new Hyundai Elantra from Jerry's last April . When he bought the car he told me he financed it , but that I needn't worry , he had taken out a credit life insurance policy through the dealership that would pay off the loan if he passed away before the car was paid off of ( he took out a loan through Hyundai Motors even though he had paid cash for he last several cars because of these assurances) . Well , he died Jan 11 of this year. As his executor , I started working my way through his finances I found the paperwork from his purchase. I called the dealership , they told me they no longer offer these policies , they would look into this and get back to me . A week went by without hearing from them . I then called the company that underwrites these policies - . Gave them my father in law's name , they couldn't find the policy . Gave them customer number , deal number , and policy number - still could not find it . They asked me how old my father in law was . He was 87 when he made the purchase . The representative told me they didn't underwrite these policies for people in their 80s. ( sure enough the fine print stated that anyone 66 yrs old or older was ineligible for the policy.) He clearly wrote his DOB on the application . Of note is the fact that the underwriting firm never even received an application from the dealership I called the dealership again and was once again given the run around . Was told they don't sell these policies anymore and couldn't find anything , asked me to text or email them the paperwork - I did - sales and finance contracts , as well as policy application . The GM of the dealership called me back to tell me there was nothing he could do about it . I asked him why they sold him the policy when the policy clearly stated anyone who had reached 66 years of age was not eligible. They charged him for the policy and rolled it into the loan amount . Then , the policy application was never sent to the insurance company. No attempt was made to tell my father in law that he didn't qualify for the policy , nor was any modification made to the loan amount to reflect this change . I then asked if it was SOP to take advantage of older customers in their 80s . ( there was a number of superfluous 'spiffs' that they sold him were unnecessary including a "GAP coverage policy , a "Anti Theft Protection Certificate " even though the car was equipped with Anti Theft device ,as well as the ubiquitous $1000 "protection plan" ) They basically saw an old man coming and worked him for every last dime ! I asked what they were going to do . I was told I NEEDED to call the finance company and have them come and pick up the car . I did - they picked it up 2 weeks ago , then sent a letter to the deceased , stating they took back the car because "he broke a promise to them" . I didn't realize he made a promise to them that he wasn't going to die . If anything , THEY ( Jerry's Hyundai and Hyundai Motors ) broke a promise to him by telling him he qualified for a credit life policy . I thought I'd seen it all but this definitely sets a new low . She apologized someone would get in touch, nothing for 4 days. By the time they decided to talk to me I had already bought a different vehicle at another dealership. read more

Jerry's Service Department is in need of a complete overhaul. I took my Santa Fe to have an oil leak repaired. They said they put in a new plug and changed the oil. The next couple of days the oil was leaking worse than ever. Multiple calls to the service department and the dealership got me nowhere. Voice mails and messages left with several employees resulted In NO RETURN CALLS. One assistant manager, Doyle, blantantly told me he couldn't guarantee they'd fix it even if I did bring it back. Then he hung up on me. I took my Hyundai to a mechanic and was informed that the oil pan had been broken. That's $$$ I lost to Jerry's for nothing. They are SORRY people. It's now been two more days and just as I knew wouldn't happen, I've had no phone calls from anyone at Jerry's like I was assured I would. And the response to my review is obviously a standard response as DOYLE is the one that hung up on me so why would I call him for anything??!! read more

I went in today to inquire about an oil change as part of the 36,000/3 years complimentary maintenance program. My Elantra had 35,650 miles. I was first told by the Service Advisor I needed to make an appointment to get the oil change. After some record checking I was then told the complimentary program only covers 4 oil changes and the last oil change was around 29,500 miles, which was the 4th oil change so no further ones were going to be complimentary. The Service Advisor indicated walk-ins were no longer being accepted per GM, which I must assume is based on Jerry's as they also handle GM vehicles as various dealerships in Hudson Oaks, Tx. There is nothing in writing from Hyundai that states only 4 oil changes. Further, I inquired about loaner vehicles if the car ever needed any sort of repairs. The Service Advisor indicated all loaners were out until May 2024. I then asked if the same situations apply to Genesis vehicles (part of Jerry's Hyundai dealership) regarding complimentary maintenance, appointments, and loaner vehicles, and he indicated yes. I would hate to pay $90K for a vehicle and receive this type of treatment. I was considering a Genesis but after my experience today I would never consider a Genesis from Jerry's nor would I ever purchase another Hyundai or any other vehicle from any Jerry's dealerships located in Hudson Oaks, Tx. Let us chat some now about the purchase of my new Elantra from Jerry's Hyundai in early 2023. The vehicle was placed in my son's name. When I (father) went to pay for it they would not accept my check or other forms of payment since my name was not on the title (I was paying in full). FYI, credit score over 850+. Additionally, a First Responder's discount was being offered, which I am. I was told that the discount would not be honored since my name was not on the title. In order to pay for the vehicle, I was told I needed to acquire a cashier's check. I was given the name (Jerry's GM) to whom the check needed to be made out to by the Finance department. When I returned with the cashier's check, I was informed it should have been made out to Jerry's Hyundai. As a result, another trip to the bank in Weatherford. Waranty is worthless on theses cars! My wife's 2018 Sonata was not starting on mornings that the temperature was below 32°. We replaced the battery, same problem. Look it up and this year and model apparently has a bad starter. We even know someone with the same problem. So we call the dealership explaining what was going on asking when we could get in. 2 week wait which was standard across all dealerships I checked. Can't get a loaner until car is looked at. So almost every day for an entire week plus we had to find a ride to work because it was freezing. Finally our appointment arrives. After 2 days they still haven't even looked at the car. (More days having to get a ride to work because no loaner) Day 3 they finally tell me that they CANT TEST IT BECAUSE ITS NOT FREEZING. Why did we schedule the appointment on a day they couldn't test to see if it would start? Hopefully my warranty isn't up before next winter when it freezes again but I bet that's what Hyundai wants. read more

I made initial contact on 2/8/24 inquiring about a new vehicle posted on their website. A salesman reached out soon after. Of course, that vehicle wasn't at the dealership, but we have "similar" vehicles. I received a couple of prices and was only given 2 finance options, 60 mos. @ 6.7% and 72 mos. @ 6.95%. I asked if there were any better interest rates on 2023 models and was told no. Interestingly enough, I just purchased a Santa Fe 2023 and Hyundai did, in fact, offer 48 months @ .99%. Finally today I actually got through to someone. To say the least he was very rude and unprofessional. It's no wonder why they have such low sales in this specific location. Bought a Tucson for cash a few months back. The finally billing was not clearly itemized and when I added the numbers I found their total was $935 more than the actual sum of the items. They couldn't explain the mistake at first, then said it was for gap insurance in case I had decided to finance it. Nice folks, but verify all the numbers. Also, the Tucson hybrid does NOT get anywhere close to the highway mileage they claim. I'm getting 22 mpg at interstate speeds. read more

Went there to buy a used 2019 car. We experienced everything that turns buyers off from car dealers. 1) We were coming to look at several Hyundai Elantras that we saw on their website. All of these cars were "sold that morning" shortly before we arrived. I checked on line the next day and the car with the same color and interior we went to see originally (but "sold") appeared to be there. Different car? Maybe, but doubtful. 2) Hidden fees - I explicitly checked before coming (by talking with the sales manger on the phone) to make sure there were not any add-on fees other than the standard doc fee, sales tax and title & registration fees. However, when we negotiated the price a $800 "Accessories" fee was added to the negotiations. Their justification was that this (hidden) fee was lower than what other dealers charge. 3) Change in asking price - The car we did test drive suddenly increase in price by $500 when we made our initial offer. By the time the dealer made their "reduced" offer it was $1300 above the published internet price and this is before the taxes, registration, license and other fees were added on. We left and will likely buy a car from Avis Car Sales. Rental car company's advertised prices are thousands less with NO hidden fees. You can test drive the Avis car for 2 hour for no charge and simple setup another test drive if you don't like the first one. Understand that many of the low mileage cars on the dealers lots WERE BOUGHT FROM A RENTAL COMPANY anyway. The car dealers say they do a "170 point inspection" and fix problems but that inspection simply involves plugging it into a computer and seeing if any issues pop up. Also, you can always take the car you're considering to your local car repair shop and for about $80 they will do a complete inspection. read more

I called to schedule service because my air bag indicator was coming on. Was also told I needed a software update. Made appt for 8:30 a.m. Arrived on time. Was told it would take 2-3 hours. That would've been okay but it's been 3 hours and I'm told by Josh that it will be at least another hour. When questioning why, he informed me electrical issues take a long time and the software has not even been done yet. He tried to walk away when I was still talking until I called him back. I should've been informed of the length of time it would take when I MADE the appt. so I could've arranged for a ride. I won't come back here. I'll go to a closer dealership for any more issues. Had an oil leak on my 2014 Sonata. Jerry's discovered a valve cover gasket leaking. They "repaired" the gasket and changed the oil. I picked up my vehicle and 10 miles later my car caught on fire. The General Manager was only concerned with telling how good his mechanic was and making a prifit on replacing my car. He did provide me with a loaner but when our negotiation was not going the way he desired he had me return it on Christmas Eve. So much for customer service. Beware of Durant auto grou. read more

After searching Jerry's website for certified Hyundai SUVs we went into dealership to see and drive. Later the salesman came in and said that if we wanted the certification warranty, the charge would be an extra $999. This is not the certification information on the website which doesn't mention any additional charges. I called back and asked a sales manager if the information about the $999 additional charge was correct and he verified it. We were 1st on a list to buy a car from this dealership. They called us and asked if we were still interested. We said yes and offered full price with a deposit or full price with the full payment in advance of pick up. They refused the sale because we could not drive in that day to pay in person. Personally, I have purchased cars and motorcycles without being physically at a dealership. A bank can wire money to any dealer without my personal presence. I'm in business and cannot comprehend why a business would refuse my money. This Stealership wants $6,000 over MSRP for a Santa Cruz. They are not willing to budge on the price. The $6,000 is going straight to the dealership and salesman. They gave us the "Jerry's price" at 8am and when we showed up to purchase the car at 10am they added the $6,000. The sales manager Brian stated that if we didn't like it too bad because someone will pay that price. Finance/closing guy (Davis?) is the person that gives used car sales a bad wrap. We had the best experience with Francisco. What an amazing sales guy. Honest, reliable, personable. Why, after telling the finance guy several times, "if interest is over 3.9 we will use our personal bank", he prints all paperwork at 6.2%!!!!! Half way through signing, I ask what percent did we get? When I said NO, he then gets on his computer and magically pulls up 2.9%. Reprinted and resigned everything.
