I sat with them while my car was getting worked on. I was a bit uncomfortable with them talking about bankruptcy while I was in their presence, but did my best to ignore, and not eavesdrop. They replaced a battery on my Honda CR-V, and asked me to return the next day for the tires. In replacing the battery, the Honda computer systems did not come back online. They told me they tried to fix them, but could not, and that it would be no problem for the dealership to do so. This knocked out everything from lane assist to cruise control. The next day a sensor went off 1 minute from leaving them- the technician had not filled the tires back up after putting them on. Then I get a text from them asking if a headlamp was in my car. Finally my "no problem" reset to the computer systems cost an additional $114 at the Honda dealership. Please be aware of this potential, if you are considering letting them change your battery. When I texted to let them know this had happened, their response was offensive to the point that I felt compelled to let others know of their customer service.

I expected them to reinstall my old equipment, but they actually installed a new kit and also reconnected my dash cam for free. It's been a couple of weeks and everything is working perfectly with no electrical issues. I still stand by my original review because it accurately describes what happened at the time, but I also believe in giving credit where it's due. I sincerely appreciate Bruce reconsidering the situation and DeDona ultimately making things right.

I recently had a lift kit installed on my 2025 Maverick tremor. They (Baitys) have done a lift kit before on my bronco sport Badlands awesome job. However, this was not. I acquired their services to do this lift kit and it was on for about a month before it failed. Apparently whether they did not install the CV back into the transmission correctly or the lift kit was missing something but regardless it popped the CV joint out and I lost the transmission. I thought it was a factory issue. It was not. Dealership told me about the CV and the issue with that being that it was not installed correctly or something was missing when they put the aftermarket lift kit on. I did not expect Baittys to pay the full price for the transmission, $8500 and change. But I did expect them to assume some responsibility. I figured that was fair. Also being kind to them because of the relationship I thought meant something and apparently that was Folly on my part. The dealership was awesome, (capital Ford) in Wilmington. They were kind enough to give me a loaner which I've had now for well over a week and a half free of charge. Unbelievably kind. This happened by the way 3 1/2 hours from home on Oak Island. I reside in Greensboro. Well got the call today that the transmission is done. I Texted Tripp the manager At Baiteys Tire he texted me and told me and I paraphrase, that the dealership called him and told him it wasn't anything they did. Which, of course, is in congruent with what the manager told me at the dealership. After leaving a slightly terse voicemail asking why they would tell him that as it was not congruent with our initial conversations after they found out what happened. This being at capital Ford in Wilmington, I got a call back from Nick the manager there and service that is, and he told me he has not contacted Tripp except for the first time telling him what happened and he would be in touch when it's done. 10 years I've dealt with Tripp and Baittys Tire and always recommended them. But why he would tell me a story that they told him it was not anything they did is beyond the pale. You know when you hire somebody, you have a reasonable expectation that they know what in the sam hell they're doing. Well I can tell you, he kicked the can and now I'm stuck with the full amount of a brand new transmission, plus the cost of the lift kit, which will not work on my Maverick at least in the kit that I paid for. So I am out over 10 grand. He can't make this up. So no, I could not recommend them again. It is very distressing. I'm out of the money. I'm out of relationship that you would've thought after 10 years. It meant something. But alas. I'm sure this is abnormal in business today. Sarcasm implied. So buyer beware. I would not recommend them and would give them a minus one score If I could. Sad, big time, mad oh hell? Oh yeah. This is what happened without any embellishments as I believe in being honorable and it is important to be as accurate as possible and not allow your emotions to overtake the facts. We're happy with their service. A year and a half later, I needed to have something checked gave them a long list of things. My husband asked me to go there have it checked. Turns out most of the things in my list is fine. They gave me quotes, set expectations and all that. There were no upsell of some sorts. Pretty straightforward transaction actually, I just brought up everything I have questions about. Asked the price for the check up. Have them checked. Asked something I didn't know or understand.
