But I was seen first by his P.A. or Nurse Practitioner, Annie, who conducted an initial in-depth assessment, thoroughly reviewing my situation and history and asking pertinent questions. AND she was, unsurprisingly, pleasant, professional and patient. Having been aware of Dr. Chizner's training and accomplishments I expected to be a bit intimidated, but despite the white-coat-syndrome-on-steroids with all the pros in their white coats, I was comfortable with him from the start. It was interesting to see the teaching that was going on as he conducted his assessment and it was clear that he has great rapport with his students as he frequently made eye contact with them to highlight a point or observation. The bottom line is that virtually immediately he identified the likely cause of my complaints which have persisted for years. No tests, no labs, no scans. Just simply his inquiry into my symptoms and history. This after the previous usual suspects of echo's, ekgs and so on having been inflicted on me which provided no guidance into explaining my situation. I'd be remiss if I didn't recognize Alicia, the young lady at the front desk who also fields the phone calls.
