I called Ivy telling her what happened and she was extremely understanding, sweet and professional. She delivered the stuff she'd already made. And made sure she didn't charge me for the rest of the stuff. It was very last minute and my apologies to her for the cancellation. I really wish I could go ahead with the party cuz my guests would've definitely enjoyed the variety of food she'd made. I could only take pictures of few of the items, but everything was very delicious, it was a lot of food of course but we could freeze some of them. As much as I've been disappointed about my party that I planned for months being canceled, I thought I should write this review cuz I owe it to Ivy for being so wonderful with the whole process. She deserves appreciation. I definitely recommend her for all your catering needs. I will be using her services for my other parties as well.

While I was unfamiliar with ordering food for a large number of people, Priscilla helped recommend the amount of food for the requirements, "I don't want to run out of food during the event" and "we love desserts". Another side note: I was catering snacks rather than a meal. I ended up ordering - tri-tip - mashed potatoes - roasted veggies - assorted bread - lemon garlic salmon - veggie garlic pasta - Greek salad - dinner rolls - fresh fruit display - fresh fruit tarts - petit fours - gluten free mini cupcakes: red velvet, chocolate, vanilla, lemon I appreciate that Priscilla suggested to halve the salmon fillets to have double the number of salmon pieces for guests to have snack portions rather than meal portions. Although mini cupcakes were not listed on her menu, she was able to provide them. Also, you can ask her about gluten free desserts. You can have more than just macarons. Compliments I received... "Did you make the food? The salmon and tri-tip were so juicy." "This is better than most wedding food." 2 people inquired who I used to cater for the event. I received general praise that the food was good. I received explicit praise that the petit fours and fruit tarts were good. The mashed potatoes were thick but good. Passion for catering's setup and tear down went smoothly. It was maybe 20-30 minutes of setup and 10 minutes of tear down. I appreciate that they were able to provide decor for the food tables. They also provided some takeout containers for us to take leftover food. 10/10 would cater from them again.

We hired Henry for a birthday party for a group of family and friends (around 70 people, including…read morekids), at the park this weekend, and he did a fantastic job! It was so convenient to have someone else take care of all the shopping, prepping, and cooking. Our guests loved the food. Many took home business cards. Henry was so easy to work with, my wife and I were wondering if we missed any important planning steps. Haha. It took just a few emails to get a quote, secure the date, and finalize the menu. Henry and his son showed up at the park exactly when he said he'd be there, and the food was cooked on premise, exactly on time. Henry sources all the ingredients from Costco and buys everything needed the day before. I'm a huge fan of all things Kirkland. Always solid quality and value. I've been pretty lazy about writing Yelp reviews lately. Figured I'd write one for Grillaxin since many of the other reviews are years old, and the website seems to be defunct. This business is located across the street from the union city bart station. There's a parking lot on site and street parking in front but not too much.
