From the moment I trusted the inept, incapable, completely un knowledgeable sales assistant Debi until the moment I went to a jeweler to fix the mess of the $2,500 ring I purchased. Firstly Debi told me the lab diamond measured 9mm and was 4ct. I told her "a 4 ct should be approx 10mm which is too large for me. Debi assured me it was only 9mm but was a 4ct as it's deep. When I got home I looked at IGI and stone was 10.12mm. Debi said they would change to diamond to a larger one and size it from a 7 to a 6.5 at same time. They did this and also lowered stone and made prongs Claw rather than round. I picked up and was told it was sized to 61/2 It was so tight but Debi said it's just because my hand was hot. I left and by end of day couldn't get it off and finger swollen. I finally got it off w help but cut my knuckle quite badly. I took to jewelers near me and they measured on two different sticks and it was a size 6 ~ way too small. I called Debi and she said to bring it in and they'd fix. I did this. When I got it home it was still super hard to get on but as ALL my other rings are a size 6.5 I thought it must just be because I had injured knuckle. I put it on but it was so tight. Today I took it to a reputable and highly experienced Gold Smith at a jewelers near by. These images are from that jeweler. Ring was a size 6/14 not 61/2 and upon inspection was found to be so badly damaged as well as small. It seems the method they used was to stretch the band instead of cutting it and resizing it correctly. You cannot stretch a band that has diamonds on the shank as it makes them loose. The side stones were loose and the prints totally uneven and not securing the stones. The underside inside of ring was cracked in several places from stretching it and the prongs are wholly uneven. At first the Gold Smith didn't wish to work on the ring and was truly shocked how terrible unsafe and un secure the ring was. Thankfully they have taken pity on me and have agreed to fix it all. Not sure how much it will cost but at least I feel they know what they are doing and more importantly CARE and take pride in their work. I can't bare to go back to The Diamond Store or even speak to them on phone. I can't bare to be upset more and also they can't be trusted obviously. Just a sad state of affairs read more

Took two rings to be valued.Woman was extremely rude to start with, then gave a low evaluation,based on my research online, so I left.Took the same rings to the Elite jewelers in Jasper,GA,out of curiosity and rings were valued at $800 more.Please tell me how that happens. Both stores are evaluating the gold weight based on today's market value.Something is not right with this picture.The staff at Elite were extremely pleasant and courteous. I would not recommend buying or selling any jewelry at the Diamond Center in Blue Ridge,GA as they obviously have very dubious business practices. read more

Had a very good experience. Staff is friendly and accommodating--Great selection of fine jewelry. I bought 6 Ronaldo bracelets for myself, my daughter and my daughter in law. They're so pretty and reasonably priced. The bogo 50% off makes them a great buy. I had seen a Diamond cluster ring that caught my eye so my husband and I went back a month later and ended up buying it. They sized it and I was able to pick it up a couple of hours later. Diamond Center - My new ring! - Jewelry Near Me - Blue Ridge, Georgia

The settings on my great grandmother's 100 year old platinum engagement ring were a little loose and I was afraid the three karat center diamond may fall out, so I took it to the Diamond Center in Blue Ridge for tightening and to have the prongs built up with more platinum. I must admit I was a little leery after reading some of the reviews on this place, but I took it in anyway. MISTAKE!!!!! When I went to pick up my ring, to the surprise of the sales rep, I had brought my own loop so I could inspect the work. Not only were the prong settings rough and full of pits and peaks, but the filigree mounting on one side had been completely disfigured and melted. I was horrified and sickened. The prongs could be repaired, but the 100 year old mounting was forever ruined. When I told the salesclerk about it and asked her to look at it, she did admit that there were a few rough spots on the prongs that needed attention, but she denied seeing what I was seeing as far as the mounting being destroyed. So I told her I wanted the repairman (I call him that because he is not a jeweler in my eyes) to look at it, which he did and he denied seeing anything. So I called over another salesclerk and she denied seeing anything. By this time I was livid and it was only when I practically drew them a picture that their eyes opened to see the irreversible damage done to my great grandmother's ring. Of course then he denied causing the damage, but I fully inspected that ring before I took it in and it was perfect and it being the ring that it is, I know all the history and work that has ever been done on it. I was not walking out of the store with it until something was done. He said he would fix and polish the prongs holding the center diamond and "try" to do something with the disfigured setting. I left with my stomach in knots, and came back in about two hours. The prongs were fixed right this time, and the disfigured filigree had been smoothed over with a few holes put through it to try and make it look lacey, but that side of the mounting is forever ruined. This is my experience with the Diamond Center and I will NEVER go back in there and would not recommend them for any needed work or repairs. This review should have negative stars. read more

And we have even had people that work in the Diamond business say that is a amazing ring. They ask what we paid and they can never believe we got that great of a deal on it.
