It shares the building with a thrift store that has pretty much taken over the building. The part that use to be boots is the ONLY part of the store now! They have very few items on the Hogsed side. It made me very sad because this place use to be wonderful. If you are looking for hunting clothes, don't make the trip. You will leave depressed and thinking about the glory that was Hogsed.

His customer service was amazing. He made the entire experience fun from start to finish. We laughed the whole way down the river, learned so many interesting facts about the area, and always felt safe. If you're visiting with young kids, this is an amazing family adventure, and Carter made it even more memorable. After rafting, we went zip-lining, and the experience was just as enjoyable. Cole and his crew were fantastic--patient, professional, encouraging, and accommodating. They made everyone feel comfortable, whether it was their first time or not. We 100% recommend Nantahala Outdoor Center for families, couples, or anyone looking for a fun day outdoors. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. Our only suggestion would be to make tipping easier. Currently, guides can only be tipped with cash, and many people don't carry cash anymore. It would be great if the guides had a Cash App, Venmo, or QR code so guests could tip digitally using their phones. They absolutely deserve it! September 7, 2020…read more After hiking the lower and upper Desoto Falls we drove up to the store to see what all the hub hub was about. HWY180 twists and winds all the way to the top of Neel Gap which is why it's a favorite amongst motorcyclists who race up these roads as they can cling to the corners so much faster than cars can. I won't say anything about safety tho. There are a few benches overlooking a nice vista at around 3000 ft. After perusing the store which was stocked with hiking paraphernalia for those AT enthusiastic-thru-hikers, we unpacked lunch and sat down enjoying the view on this sunny Labor Day. Every now and then the screams of loud motor cycles could be heard. Thru-hikers can book a hostel room here or ship food ahead to this location on their hiking adventure of the AT, which is very technical.
