Whenever friends and relatives want to buy me a gift they often buy me a facial. My sister was the first one to buy me a gift voucher for Endota and I have been hooked ever since. Glenelg is one of the newer Endota Spas to open up in Adelaide and has been done well. Subdued lighting lots of candles and lovely warm staff allow you to feel relaxed the moment you step inside. The products they use are certified organic and smell divine. There are many different treatments and packages to choose from ranging from $30 upwards. The building is a lovely old two storey house and the treatment rooms are located upstairs away from any noise. The therapists I had for my massage was warm and friendly without being too chatty so I could really relax. It was a blissful experience that I would thoroughly recommend

This Glenelg one is fairly new and is in a good location just off Jetty Rd, keeping the noise down. Its in a little old characterized house with a couple of single rooms and a few couple rooms, with no group room. The rooms have a nice ambience with candles, soft soothing music and the aroma of certified organic beauty products. All the rooms are quite small and cosy, as it was a house, which makes me like the Rundle and Barossa ones a little more as they are slightly more spacious and can accommodate more than 2 people at a time in one room. But my experiences here have been lovely, the therapists are always smiley and friendly, chatting when necessary but also letting me relax. It's great to go grab an ice cream afterwards or sit by the beach and reminisce always saying ahhh...

You walk into Swiss Wellness and are immediately greeted with polite ladies behind the counter and soft, plinky-plunky music. That teamed with a delightful aroma and I'm already feeling peaceful. The spa is actually an old Adelaide house - you go into the waiting room and waiting for you is fresh herbal tea or water. The lady I see for waxing, sadly I can't remember her name, but she has been great every time. Quick and also a bit of a perfectionist so you know you will be leaving in good consition. My boyfriend actually gets his eyebrows done here! Shhh! The relaxation treatment I had was...the epitome of bliss. One negative was that they did confuse my booking at first. I was in the room about to get nudey and the lady starts talking about some heated foil that she will wrap around me!? No sorry, I'm after the body scrub and massage...? It was all sorted out promptly and they apologised profusely. So once we had the right treatment - wow. I was on cloud nine! My skin was super super soft afterwards, and my body felt as light as air when I left. I wish I could afford to get a massage and treatment more often, but at least it makes it special since it's a rare occurrence. Waxing prices are reasonable too.

They make you feel very comfortable and relaxed with the required level of calming bing bong in the background. The other service I have used at the House of Healing is the naturopath and vega testing. Whilst the staff were lovely, I had always thought that I was a big supporter of alternative medicine but I failed to observe a significant difference in my health. I left post-testing with the bounty of very expensive herbal remedies they have you buy and all the good intentions in the world. When it comes down to it, the key is really to change your lifestyle and adhere to a high protein, wheat free, dairy free, caffeine free, booze free, fun free diet. I can't say I noticed any effects from the herbal remedies and despite being told I was mildly allergic to cashews, I continue to eat them with no discernable ill effects. Maybe I'm just a naughty kid but I did stick to the regime I was given for almost three months aside from the occasional coffee / wine slip up and I'm not convinced I'd bother with a naturopath again.

You gotta understand that I'm a basketball player that's actually taking care of my feet for the first time. Ohh yes.....It ended feeling like paradise, that I could feel it through my whole body during my treatment. I have taken many of my girlfriends here for their birthdays, and I have been suprised a few times myself with spontaneous trips. With an inner city location, this Endota is smaller and a little noiser than others, just from sheer building size and traffic. But they have decked the place out with soothing music and equipment and try their best to make the place quiet and serene. Endota Rundle is 3 stories tall, with the reception and entry on the middle level. There is a tea/waiting room downstairs along with some treatment rooms and larger group rooms upstairs. The therapists are amazing, as expected, and they know their stuff, tailoring each treatment to suit the client. Sometimes I have had nice chats with them, or a laugh, or a silent treatment where I have almost fallen asleep. If you want something a little different, get Alex the male therapist, he is pretty cool.

I visited the salon for my first treatment, a little while ago, having bought a deal on "souldeal". I was treated so well and the staff were so friendly that I will definitely be back. I had a natural salt exfoliation and massage which was heavenly. The treatment rooms are not overly big but beautifully furnished and done out in their signature black and orange colours. As a little gift after the treatment I was given one of their berry lip balms which smelled divine. I only go to Beauty places that stock organic products and Skin things has a wonderful range of natural products and cosmetics including an Australian Native range and Youngblood cosmetics. The other appeal here is that you are supporting a South Australian business so it is a wonderful place to buy gifts for people overseas or direct visitors to for a different experience.

Maria is fantastic. She is obviously very experienced. You can have a remedial or relaxation massage or a bit of both which is what I always go for. She works on your trigger points as well and finds all the sore spots and knots and relieves them. Her technique is unlike any I've had and she has found other sore spots that no one else has gone over before. By the end of it my body feels a bit more relaxed. For me, it's the next day that I feel like a whole new person. I also appreciate her advice and explanation which I haven't had in the past. She tells you why a spot is tight, what happens when it's like that and how to stretch it. I learn from her things no one has told me before. She's not just about giving you a 60 minute massage, her advice helps you keep your body in check at other times (of course you must follow it but the ball is in your court now!!). Trust me, Maria knows her stuff!!

The business is run by Maureen and Amy, a mother and daughter team who take considerable pride in their business and have done a truckload to upgrade the salon since they purchased it just over 2 years ago. They provide extensive hair and beauty services, including eyebrow lightening which looks completely natural. Amy genuinely enjoys being a beautician and this is evident in the care and attention to detail shown in her work. They also did a top job on the make-up for a friend's wedding and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for this super important undertaking. They are friendly and really listen when you describe the style of haircut you're after which is sometimes hard to come by!
