Once we were seated, we were humiliated to find that there were "coon" cartoons playing on the multiple screens, depicting, three of the adults at our table and all of the children as big lipped, bulging eyed, animals. This was horrific imagery, and we had to explain this to our children, why people would see us this way and choose to project these images in a diner where we and others are eating. Of course we left without ordering. I still cannot believe the hostess actually came to us to ask why we were leaving!
