I had my vow renewal here on 3-25-2023. Let me start by saying that this business is amazing! Everyone I interacted with was very professional and attended to all of our needs. The venue is absolutely beautiful and you can use their services and vendors if you choose but it is not required like many other venues. We chose the all inclusive package and it was great. We had a delicious plated dinner of chicken and beef , late night tacos, open bar, and a sweet table. They were very accommodating to our vendors as well. I went to a wedding a the Diamond Garden Banquet Hall and I had a blast. They offer a standard banquet hall food and have a full service bar. There is one main room where events are held. The foyer is small but allows handicapp access. They offer a coat check and men's and women's bathroom in foyer. They have another section where parties can change but it is a small room that you can only access in the foyer. The venue is setup where they curtain it off and change the room around for the reception. There is free limited parking across the street so if you attending an event get there early. There is street parking but it is metered. Please be careful where you park as you might be towed. read more

We had our wedding reception last Saturday 10/2/21. What was one of the most stressful weeks of my life turned out to be the perfect day and Jose and his team at Diamond Garden made that possible! Always 2 steps ahead making sure everything was perfect ! My guests were raving about how beautiful the venue was and even more happy with the food. (We chose Mexican) With rain in the forecast and the ceremony being outdoors at Humboldt Park Jose gave us the option to move the ceremony inside up to a couple days before. Extremely accommodating. I held my wedding at Diamond Garden and I must say that it was an amazing experience. My wife and I were looking for something reasonably priced but still a decent venue. We were able to find this hidden gem that turned out to be an amazing venue. So much comes with the package which takes a lot of pressure off of the wedding planning. Jose, the awesome manager, made sure that the night ran smoothly. He was there for the entire year of planning every step of the way. We went to two food tastings before our event. He made sure we had access to view the venue with our vendors whenever needed. Even the day of, he made accommodation to make sure our night was amazing. Not only did he manage, he was also hands on with his staff. He helped with the setup and breakdown of the venue. My guest, videographer, and photographer all raved about how beautiful the place was and the videos and pictures came out great !!! Highly Recommended !!! read more

My friend and her husband had their wedding reception here in August and this place is gorgeous. The place reminds you of a night under the stars. The parking lot is a little bit small and metered parking everywhere, but if you're willing to drive around for a while, you might get lucky enough to find a parking spot on a side street, that you do not have to pay for. read more

Had my wedding here July 17th. Absolutely loved everything about this place. From the very helpful staff, decor and most importantly the FOOD. This is the first and only banquet hall I know that provides AUTHENTIC MEXICAN food. Tasted homemade! They even provided tortillas and delicious ceviche. All of our guests complimented the food, they were in awe. Definitely would recommend this banquet hall to all my family and friends 10/10. read more

I picked this hall because if their menu options. I really liked that I could have an authentic Mexican meal and everyone said it was delicious. My downsides were small but important nonetheless. For starters, whenever I wanted to set our details down they brushed me off saying we had plenty of time. I kept asking and they kept brushing me off so I figured, they know what they're doing and maybe I'm just being an annoying anxious bride. The week of the wedding they finally call us to come in to settled the details. One major one being the cake. They said, you've already called the bakery, right? What?! They had specifically told me numerous times that they handled that onsite. Now they were saying that, they changed that and said oops sorry, we forgot to tell you. BIG important detail you'd think! They also made little backhanded comments that it was kind of late for us to be setting down the details. I was very bothered by this since it was THEM that kept brushing us off the entire time prior to that. When I called to place the order for the cake as they told me to do the bakery gave me an attitude and said they weren't sure they could do it since it was such short notice. The hall left me alone to deal with their mistake. I received no apology for that. The day of the hall looked great but was too hot and people complained about it but not much was done. The bridal suite had absolutely no AC and it was insanely hot and humid. We also paid for the extra lighting and a light monogram sign but it was tiny and not very nice at all despite them saying they would try to make it match what I showed them as an idea. The place is nice, the food was delicious but they are very unorganized and unapologetic despite being polite. I am upset at their unprofessionalism and we made the best of how things turned out but I don't think I'd have an event there again. read more

Let me start off by saying that this venue is a hidden gem! (Understatement!!!) if only you knew the hell my now husband and I went through with our original venue!!! Diamond garden was actually a last minute resort for us. However, it turned out to be the best decision we made (other than marrying, obviously!) Let me just save some time and make points that will help explain why this venue is so great. 1. Price- affordability is actually an option if you book here. Whether it's on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday during or after the "wedding season." The contract is broken down so there is no room for confusion and honestly you get a good bang for your buck. 2. Flexibility and cooperation- Customer service here is wonderful. (Atleast my experience was!!) Considering that the odds were not in our favor and we almost didn't have a wedding venue a month before our wedding...Diamond Garden Banquet made it happen for us. Both the ceremony which was last minute and the reception. The coordinators...Diego and Jose were more than helpful. We called and they scheduled us in as soon as they could. They answered all of my bridezilla questions and they responded my emails. 3. Decore/overall look- Whether you are brining in your own decore or you decide to go with the packages they offer it's a win-win. I already had my own decore but the venue had beautiful candelabras and vases which were offered at an additional cost as well as LED lights which really set the ambiance. I will say that the prices can obviously get a little steep but taking into consideration that you can completely customize what you like then it's absolutely in your power and you decide how far you go spending wise. 4. Catering & Bar- They offer nice catering options at reasonable prices. They also offer to set up a free tasting. They don't require a licensed caterer nor do they charge you any hidden/ additional fee's for choosing your own caterer. They have a couple of options for the bar package. You can also bring in your own drinks and they will serve them for you. Considering all that you get and the service given it's hard to come up with cons but here it is. The downfalls: Although the staff do a great job of organizing the tables and chairs the space of the venue is a bit snug. My guest count was150. I also had a large wedding party of 16 (including the groom and I) the room did look great but it seemed to me like a tight fit. Parking was offered which is nice and conveniently located across the street but it is limited to about 20 parking spots. So be prepared to have guests park on the street and pay for meters if it's not a Sunday. Also be prepared for the very small bridal suite located upstairs through a steep set of stairs. Lastly, the bathrooms aren't horrible but the decore doesn't match the hall and the wall paper makes it look a bit tacky. read more

Let me begin by saying that I had the best coordinator! His name is Diego and he was absolutely flexible, patient and professional. Our wedding was held on sat. 10/11/14. We received so many compliments on how beautiful the hall was and everyone felt very comfortable in the hall. We have been to many events at different venues and we felt like the staff was in the way and not letting us enjoy the party. This was not the case at all at Diamond Garden, the staff was helpful and friendly. I did have to break down alot of the costs of the services they were providing. One thing you have to remember is that weddings are big money making schemes and places will suck you dry of every penny. I felt like they tried to do that but we ended up purchasing alot of things on our own. The wedding turned out beautiful in the end. Beautiful venue, but if you have a food allergy, proceed with caution. Specific requests were made for people with dietary restrictions and they were completely ignored. Even when we reminded the staff about those allergens, they ignored us and still gave us food we were unable to eat. Good thing we went without food instead. read more

First, the hall is beautiful on the inside. That and one of the staff members -Diego is the only reason I didn't rate this a one star. There is a small parking lot across the street and there is an area for the bridal party or quinceanera to change -which is located upstairs. I would also say the servers I paid for did a wonderful job. I was very impressed with them. Let me start by saying it's not worth it. For all that beauty, you will wish you held your party somewhere else. First, the liquor package-don't do it. This was one of the only things my guests complained about with the party. I paid over $1700 for 105 drinkers and every single one of them complained that there was no alcohol in the drinks. Remarks I got back was that the drinks were all juice, that the staff was rude and some even went to the liqueur store across the street. They started the open bar late and wanted to close right on time but did not want to make an announcement that they were closing because they did not want to create a line. Next, I paid for a bartender and security, but was really disturbed that they were all staff that I had either signed contracts with or come to make payments or other changes with... That was a little irritating. In reference to the contract, make sure everything you are told is written down! I had the person I originally signed the contract verbally tell me that we would have 3 practices, on a later date I changed my contract to be as bringing in our own food and asked about the 3 practices and was told that there were only 2 included, I asked he put that in the new contract so it wasn't changed again later and luckily he did because when I called to set the practices up, I was told that we would only be able to have 1. Besides this, I was originally told we would have 5 hours to set up, which unfortunately I didn't ask them to write down, because they only ended up giving us 3. I paid for the chair and table covers and when I got there they were still putting them on, which was aggravating b/c I needed to set up quickly. Finally the most important thing I would recommend besides the liqueur, is do not go with their DJ, ours was not worth the money we paid by far. I wouldn't say he was horrible, just not good and definitely not a club DJ as they advertise, unless he is from some sort of social club. It seemed like half the time I was looking for him, he was in the kitchen. The music wasn't really mixed it was just played and since I went with the top package he was supposed to be a DJ/MC and I would really just say he was a DJ if that. In the end, my guests still raved about the party because of the excellent performances and money I put into it, like with the photobooth (I got a really good deal with CityLimits out of Lemont, look them up, they were amazing) and the dance group I used, Ballet Folklorico Regional Mexicano, who were awesome, not to mention the favors, food-I got elsewhere etc. I'm just saying if I was able to do it again, I wouldn't do it here, based on the management, drink package and DJ (who was part of their special package). read more

This place is truly amazing!! My wife and I just had our reception here this past Friday and we loved it!! The staff was so unbelievably nice I couldn't believe it. This place was our first choice for our reception and we definitely didn't regret it. They also recently just remodeled so the place looks a lot nicer than before. Walking past Diamond Garden, you would never imagine what the inside holds! We chose to have our wedding (11-14-15) at Diamond Garden almost instantly upon walking into the building. A dance floor lined with artificial trees is so magic! We nicknamed it "the secret garden." Diego was the first person that we talked to at the location. He is the friendliest, most understanding guy I have ever met! From dropping off the decorations ahead of time, to the perfect setup by the staff, to the hard working servers who were so efficient and ready, we could not have asked for better service. The drinks were well served (so i hear, i was too busy having a blast that I forgot to drink!) the coat check efficient and the bridal suite and gift tables were properly secured by one of the staff at all times. I cannot thank Diamond Garden enough! Words cannot express my happiness. They truly made my wedding day the best day of my life! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stress free and fun day! read more

Nice interior for weddings and parties, but I would not recommend. The lack of parking is something I heard several times from our guests. the parking lot they own across the street is very small. Also, the caterer they use here is awful. We did a tasting and found the food was microwaved and not cooked properly. So we brought in our own caterer and he was met with disdain and rudeness by the onsite manager when he delivered the food. I had to intervene to get them to cooperate. We were told they knew how to plate the food and would do it for the caterer, WRONG, the staff and onsite manger did not know what or how to do it. Apparently they usually just do buffet style so plating the food is not a skill they possess. The caterer had to leave his staff behind to assist and teach them what and how to serve the food. I was not present when the initial contract was agreed upon and signed, but there is a clause that was communicated but I would not have agreed to if present. It is that the open bar becomes a cash bar the last hour to hour and half of the event. I don't like the idea of inviting my guests with the notion of open bar and then have them be charged during the last hour of the event. I think this is an unscrupulous business practice, and an attempt at spiking their profit at the expense of unsuspecting guests. I don't know if this is a common practice at banquet halls but I'm not a fan. Overall, our event was a very happy one, and our family and friends made it so, but I would not recommend this establishment, there is much better in Chicago and the suburbs. read more
