I'm writing this review after only being here once while in town but we loved what we ordered: shrimp with broccoli, chicken egg fu young, and garlic sesame green beans. Portions were big enough for 3 meals. It's takeout only which worked just fine for us. We'd return when we're in town. read more

The worst Chinese food i have ever had. All Tasted like rancid grease. Smelled off when I went in the food tasted like the place smelled.

I ordered a larger shrimp with lobster sauce. There were eight small overcooked shrimp and I'm still gagging on the rice.

Out of the Chinese restaurants that are in Brainerd, this one is my favorite so far. I would recommend ordering off the menu and trying their wonton soup. We also ordered beef and pork with vegetables and the house fried rice, and it was delicious! We had plenty of leftovers to bring home and eat later at a great price. It's a must-try! read more

Ok, I can't say enough about this business and the owners. First, the food is incredible and is ALWAYS fresh. They will tell you "it's going to be about an hour." Well of corse it is! It's made from scratch, and cooked to order! I can't tell you how fresh and hot the food is when we get it... it usually isn't the full hour. The delivery drivers are always nice, and drive safely down our populated road. I'm so thankful for this place. When I forget to take something out for dinner, she always has my back! read more

We read the recent reviews saying the food was great so we decided to give it a try. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. We had four people and ordered 1 soup, 1 order of wontons, four meals, and hot tea. The hot tea was served in coffee mugs and tasted off. The soup didn't come until we were getting ready to leave. The wontons came out with two peoples meals and the other two meals came out about 5+ minutes later. The food had no flavor and there was way more celery than chicken in the cashew chicken and kung pao chicken. The cashew chicken had the cashews sprinkled on top which we had never seen before. The fried rice, wontons, and egg rolls all tasted off possibly from bad or old oil. We never saw the waitress after she brought our food to ask how things were or if we needed anything else. We were the only people dining in the restaurant and others were doing take out. Definitely won't be going back. Oh and the buffet was closed but there was still crusted food in all the trays. read more

We went for lunch and had to ask for our tea 3 times .I ordered an appetizer and a meal off of the menu because the buffet had very little in it and my wife ordered off of the lunch menu . The tea came with my meal and I waited a about 3 min for hers to show up before we began .The app showed up half way through the meal . The house special rice was cold as was my meal . Wonderful price for all the different items you can eat from. This is a very clean and comfortable place to eat. The food is always fresh and very delicious and it's very fun to try and get through the whole buffet to try everything that they have! I'd very much encourage everyone to try this place out. My husband and I order from here very often and our kids even love the food more than we do. We usually order the same thing, because we like it soooooooo much! I order the General Tso's Chicken, my husband orders Curry Chicken and my kids order the Sweet and Sour Chicken and they loooove the donuts. We have had it delivered, but most times we order it and then pick it up. This place always seems to be busy and there is usually a wait, but it is worth it because we really enjoy the food. I got there around 6:30 pm and was going to have the buffet. The buffet was less then to be desired, it didn't look fresh and a few items were empty. So I ordered two entrees to go. I ordered the Mongolian beef and general TSO chicken. I loved the chicken and the beef but the beef had a larger ration of veggies and hardly any beef. I also think if you order two entrees you should get to orders of rice not just one. Each entree says it gets rice. My over all experience is good and the employees were friendly. read more

Ordered $80 of food for delivery at 5 to 6 p.m. and was told it would be an hour. Called at 5 after 7 to ask if it was enroute. No, it wasn't, but they were getting it out right now. It's about a 10 to 15 minute drive from there to my home. 40 minutes later the food finally arrived. Tables not cleared from last lunch diners, many tables looked like they had not been wiped down; buffet still out (advert until 3:30)w/ little dabs of crusty leftover food in a cold steam table. (Side of salmonella, anyone?) Ordered "dinner" pricing take out of House Special Chow Mein, pork Egg Foo Yung, 2 egg rolls, Beef & Broccoli. $34+ At home, opened boxes to find: grossly over-heated egg rolls (dry, chewy, tasteless); Egg Foo Yung had no pork, was cooked on too cold plate so was dripping grease-scrambled eggs & rice-no spice. "Sauce" was in separate container (thank Fate for faint favors) with taste, texture & color of raw gravy and the tang of metal-immediately tossed. Chow Mein had miniscule shreds of dark meat, again no spice or texture. Beef & broccoli had lots of broccoli, some chewy pats of meat, again, no spice or texture. Even the fortune cookies were old, stale and chewy. Save your money and gas - eat a piece of dirty cardboard with soy sauce at your own home. read more

I have been going there for many years and usually was satisfied. Last night however I brought some beef with snow peas home and became violently ill. I noticed when the cook walked out his apron was absolutely filthy. He should probably change it once in awhile or stop wiping his hand off on it all day. read more

First off, the family who runs the place is wonderful. My wife likes the flavor of Diamond House better than China Garden, but she only eats two dishes. We have great luck here during a lunch time that's busy, but for supper it is a crapshoot for both dishes and freshness. If they only have one or two groups they will not put out fresh anything especially if it is later in the evening. China garden is a little more expensive and raises their prices during tourist time, but they have about three times the dishes. read more

This place does not even deserve one star. Upon entering the restaurant, the entry way was very dirty. I should have known to walk right back out the door at that point. The buffet is horrible, the food was not fresh at all, it looked like it had been sitting there all day and was dried out and most of the buffet food options were empty. I mentioned the to the host that most of the items in the buffet were empty. Eventually, the cook did come out and replace some (not all) of the empty menu items in the buffet, but to my surprise I watched him dump the fresh food on top of the old picked over, dried out food. Disgusting. Needless to say I won't go back. Nor would I recommend this place to anyone. How disappointing. read more
