not going back....I was a regular at Diamond and now they rushed me through my appointments to accommodate walk ins. Cindy answers her phones while doing my nails....place not as clean as it used to be and dusty. Last 2 times ...my pedi/mani were not done properly, she was rushing rushing. There are others nail spas in Fredericton, New Maryland and will be looking for better service. This salon leaves little to be desired.... I would give it 0 stars if the option was there. Not only did they do a bad job, but sold me a "shellac", when it turned out to be a very poor grade of polish - lasted less than 1 day. As a matter of fact, it chipped as soon as I left... didn't have time to go back and demand my money back, as I was charged heavily. Good quality acyclic nails. Staff is so nice. Really need to play music while customers are there. I love that the prices are good for their quality. Perfect for a trip to get your nails done. I love how you can just walk in and get your nails done. They clean up you hands and put good detail into your nails. They could offer lotion for after the manicure for added customer service to their customers. read more

My girlfriend went there and the nails looked nice. But not even a week later one of the nails broke. Like what the heck. I can't believe that they can get away with this stuff. It's expensive and for the nail to just break less than a week later is horrible. This salon is situated in Brookside Mall. There are only two women there who do everything even though there are 5 pedicure chairs and 5 manicure stations. There is no receptionist. I made an appointment and provided my name and number. When I arrived at 2:30 for my appointment for a mani-pedi My name was nowhere to be found in the little scribbler notepad schedule - Hmmm. They told me to come back in 30 minutes - I did. They still weren't ready for me. To stall for more time I was asked to go pick out my nail colours. 50 min later I was told to sit in a pedicure chair where the cool water greeted my feet. I waited 10 more minutes for the woman to begin. After she did a quick pedicure I had to wait for them to do 3 other pedicures between the 2 of them while my nails were "drying". After spending 90 minutes to get a poor quality pedicure, I was willing to spend another hour for the same quality manicure. Every time I've gone, there are many more women waiting then salon staff. They try and juggle all the women by partially working on all. The quality suffers. They don't use a cuticle trimmer, unless you ask, but instead use an electric filer to reduce toe and fingernail cuticles. This result is good for only a few days days. Last week I had a pedicure and less than a week later had to give myself one. My advice is to find another place. Diamond Nail is a total waste of time and money. read more

DO NOT STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE 1) the women are both very rude and made me feel uncomfortable for the entire service. Speaking another language and laughing while staring at me, very rude and unprofessional. 2) UNSANITARY!! How this place meets health codes is beyond me. Unswept floors, the desk were my nails were being done was filthy, old nail clippings everywhere. The lady attempted to use a nail file on me that was clearly used multiple times. The siscors she used we're of poor quality and rusty and filthy. 3) the sign says 35$ for gel, one she had the gel on my nails she told me that it would be 45$ because I had long natural nails(???) then after she told me that she wouldn't shape/file my nails unless I agreed to pay her another 5$ which I obviously had to agree to pay unless I wanted hideous sharp nails. When I went to pay she told me it was 60 then I argued saying it shouldn't be that much based on what she told me and rolled her eyes and said "fine, 55$ will work". 4) her husband and 3 children sat right next to me and had full conversations and were running around and yelling. (Not a spa like atmosphere they claim to be) No only was it an uncomfortable After a TERRIBLE experience and over priced nails, they didn't even look remotely nice. They're bumpy, filed so poorly, have no shape and have patches where the nail polish is missing. She also cut me 3 times during her hack job of filing. Called and was told to come in and then hung up on. I went in, and showed them my nails. I went in with great, strong, well maintained acrylic nails but they were about 4 weeks grown out. I needed a fill badly. I get my nails done by people who are not fluent in English normally ...but these people obviously couldn't understand me at all or plain didn't care. My natural nails were long and grown out to the length of my acrylics and I asked specifically for them not to be cut. She flipped my hand over and started with the nail clippers literally hacking my acrylics and my natural nails both off down to my quick. I asked what she was doing, rather upset; she just told me they were "old" and just kept on going. Realizing even my natural nails were already completely ruined I just sat there. They glued new tips on (and put way too much glue and its flaking off under and around my nails) instead of using my natural nail and filed so deep they burned 2 of my nails, bright red. They kept trying to force me to get colors and designs I didn't want or ask for. They didn't give me a uniform shape, the nails are thin and weak AND THEN before I even got to work, (1 hour later) I got a big crack on the side of my right thumb nail. My natural nails are jagged, thin and jagged underneath now. For God sake, they couldn't be ANY worse, AND they totally destroyed my natural nails in the process. STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. I now have to spend more money and find someone to fix these before the weekend so they don't all crack off. AND I don't even have my natural nail underneath anymore. ABSOLUTELY RUINED. SO SO SO DISAPPOINTED. I've never cried over my nails before. I did today. read more

I AM NEVER GOING BACK! Me and my cousins took a trip down to Diamond Nails for what we thought was going to be a nice, fun experience to get mani pedis! It did NOT end this way! As we went in we began to look at the polishes, some of them were from Ardenes! We thought it would be OPI-There were about 6 OPI nail polishes!:/ As we sat in the pedicure chairs in my foot bath there was dirt from other people! Also my lady didn't have one tool she needed so she took it from the man beside her and it was used and dirty! My lady's nails were so long that she cut my skin and was pinching me very hard! Next they started to paint my nails and they didn't even paint to the end of my nails! Now in my paint there is hair! Once my awful pedicure was done, they moved me to the manicure chair! On the floor there was crushed up bugs and crackers! Gross!! They woman kept hitting my freshly painted toes with her sneakers so now the are all chipped! The manicure was so badly painted that when we showed our parents they took us back in their and redid our nails! In total my mani pedi costed about 50 with the tip! I went there for a French Manicure which according to their prices is $17 - I only wanted my nails painted. Anyway 30 minutes later the bill comes to $35 because the manicurist decided to use some expensive gel paint I was not made aware of.. not pleased at all! - Also, I was concerned about using their UV light drying machine, as I never used one before, and asked it was safe to do so and she said yes. I just got back home and checked that out to learn that indeed, it is NOT safe! UV lights are not only linked to skin cancer but also ages your hands = wrinkles and sun spots! and she kept me using the stupid machine the WHOLE time!! even when I tried to keep my hands out cause they were getting so hot and annoyed. You only need a maximum of 1 minute to dry!!! why would anyone ask me to leave my hands there for such long period of time? :( - I'm very irritated with their poor service and expensive price! Diamond Nails Review I went down to diamond with my cousins for what I thought we be a fun experience for the three of us to have together. I will not be returning! The 3 of us got manicures and pedicures. They started 2 people off and I sat waiting for a pedicure chair to be available. We chose our colours and most of the selection was very poor quality. My cousin who started first began to complain that as he was clipping her nails he continually missed causing her a lot of pain. My sister took a picture of the dirt floating around in her foot bath and on her towel. A man told me it was my turn, leading me to a pedicure chair where he proceeded to top up someone else's foot bath for my pedicure. Thankfully, before he was able to soak my feet in it another woman came and whisked me away for my manicure. She made only one cut at the end of each nail. The employees did not speak to us while they did our services but spoke to each other the whole time. I asked for a design and the lady said she could do it but didn't. During my manicure, she asked if instead of a full pedicure she could just do it at the manicure station because the pedicure chairs were broken. Meanwhile, another lady came in asking for a pedicure and they put her in a chair to begin. The lady then said she assumes the chair is working now so we would go over there. I sat to begin my pedicure and stopped near the beginning so she could answer the phone. She came back, began clipping my toenails, then realized that the clippers were dirty. She went to the sanitizer and looked through about four pairs before she found one that was actually "clean". She was putting so much pressure on my foot the whole time and her nails were stabbing underneath my toenails. She cut my cuticle with the dremel tool. The top coat used was a shared bottle for the whole salon, so old it was dry and stringing off the top of the container. We were given no massage and cuticles were not even pushed back. There was a dish washing brush used to scrub our nails. The clean tools weren't separated from the dirty. After using the tools she dropped them into the bath with my feet and they banged my ankles. She added the design to my fingernails which I have to note, they never told me would cost an extra five dollars. Later, I noticed a white line on my nail from when she painted the design. I pointed it out to her and she painted over it without removing. She looked at it, the line still visible, and decided " a tiny bit is okay." All in all, it cost 55$. Not worth it! After reading the reviews my cousins and I were hesitant to go to Diamond Nails but we went as we really wanted to get manicures and pedicures. We went to choose our colours and mosh of the nails polish's were crappy quality from Aeropostale and Ardennes. There were only 6 o.p.i's all of which were ugly colours. We arrived and 2 of us started with our pedicures, the guy who was shaping my nails kept missing it and clipping my toe. We didn't receive a massage, lotion and my cousins nails weren't even shaped. It was also extremely unsanitary and I'm not really sure that anything was sanitized. When the guy went to fill my cousins foot bath with water he continue fill it up with someone's old water and then realized and drained. When my other cousin was getting her nails shaped the girl started with dirty nails clippers and it took her a few minutes or realize it and exchange them for a "clean" pair. Also the women's nail were so long that she stabbed my skin and cut me. After the pedicure we had our manicures which were so awful it made me want to cry. The polish was not smooth on my nail or opaque. The lady chipped my nail well doing my manicure and when I told her she just put another layer over the chip but you could still see it. There was a hair in the nail polish that got stuck to my nail and when I showed her she told me it was fine. The polish was also extremely bubbly which made my nails look worse, if that possible. Once finished with everything we payed which cost me 50 dollars with a 5 dollar tip. It was not worth a single penny. After paying we left and when we showed our manicures to our mothers they were so unimpressed that we went back and asked them to re-do it. Do not be stupid like us and ignore the reviews and still go. I have to give one star to post my review but just know that if I didn't have to, I wouldn't. I would never recommend this place. I booked in this past Saturday and went for what I thought would be a quick, nice nail appointment. Well, first of the guy had only two months experience and tried to build up two of my nails with acrylic, which did not work, so those had to be soaked off. I ended up having tips put on two nails as the rest were grown out. I also had asked for gel nails and when I asked second time was still given acrylic nails. The man filed my nails with a dremel type tool and ended up cutting my cuticles 9 times!! It burns to wash my hands now. :( The nails were also very, very thick around the edges and so uncomfortable I was picking the extra out from under my nails when he took a phone call. The nails are not uniform, several are rounded when they should be squared with rounded corners and my left thumbnail is crooked. He also forgot to put a tip on my left index fingernail , so the right index fingernail had to be filed down to match the length of the left. Since he had already put on the acrylic base at this point I was told I could come back and get the tip done free next time. No thanks! He had to leave so I was put with another lady who spoke very little English and did not understand my request to file the thickness on the sides down. Another man had to translate. She then proceeded to try to correct my nails, but I found it was too little too late. I get gel top coats with Shellac regularly at a place in Saint John and never have my nails looked like this. So much for getting my nails done away from home. Never again! My nails are thick, badly shaped and not at all how I like them. What should have been at the most a 45-60 minute nail appointment, took 2.5hrs!!!! I was so stiff by the end of the appointment, I could hardly move. I have never had such a long appointment or such poorly done nails. I was also charged an extra $15 to have two badly drawn feathers put on each thumb nail and a small gem on each thumbnail. What should have cost $25 (they had a sale on), ended up being $40. My best-friend also had a french manicure with acrylic tips and is not impressed either. Her tips are not even in colour and she has 7 cuts on her cuticles from the dremel tool. Neither of us will ever go back to this shop. Save your money and go somewhere else! I went to Diamond Nails today to book a wedding party, I figured I might as well get a pedi just to see what my experience there would be like. My mother was also with me and got one as well. I was horrified to see the man do my mother's toes with a nail file and then turn around and use the same one on me... to top it all off he put it back in the drawer to use for the next person! (eek - unsanitary!) And then using cuticle cutters the same way and not sanitizing them. After looking at the polish they were offering I saw that the bulk of it was $3 nail polish from Ardene's, not the salon brands you would expect to find when paying for a manicure/pedi. I chose a shellac - so he then puts me in an uncomfortable plastic collapsible chair when there were 4 nice ones with wheels and swivels that were being unused. I had my legs twisted in the most awkward angle so that I could put them in the curing light. I have to say that him sticking his triangle nails into the skin on my toes wasn't pleasant either. One thing is safe to say, I will be looking at booking the wedding party elsewhere and will not likely ever be going back! read more
