It's convenient to visit many downtown shops and restaurants, and is just a block from the Hult Center for Performing Arts, as well as Eugene's Saturday Market. I like that it's well lit and open enough to walk through alone at night and still feel safe.

REVIEW: It would be helpful if Yelp were consistent on its business pages, and it might be helpful for other Yelpers. This isn't the page to review for Amtrak.com. It's literally for the Eugene, Oregon station. Was on a road (train) trip on the Coast Starlight, and Eugene is one of the very quick stops heading north to Seattle. I ran off the train to see if there was a gift shop or a place to get a soda, etc. There wasn't, but that's OK. Inside, the station was clean and quiet. I didn't see a staff member, but as we only had 3-5 minutes, I didn't have time to even look. But I was happy to see such a neat, historical depot, if only for a couple of minutes. The Amtrak.com website has the following data for this station (good to know for next visit!): Staffed station ATM not available No elevator Payphones Amtrak ticketing kiosks available Restrooms Ticket sales office Unaccompanied child travel allowed Vending machines No WiFi Arrive at least 45 minutes prior to departure if you're checking baggage or need ticketing/passenger assistance How long before departure to be at the station if you need ticketing, baggage or passenger assistance services. Our business rented two spots at the back of the parking lot so that we could park a dumpster…read moretemporarily. This was so we would not inconvenience the tenants of a building we were working on next to it. We called Diamond Parking and they quoted a charge $200.00 the two parking spots the dumpster would occupy for only 10 days! While this was an outrageous price, we were not in a position to argue with them as it was a last minute necessity. The price per spot for anyone else would be $65.00 for an entire month, which would have been a total of $130.00. We were charged $200.00 for ONLY ten days and that amount stayed the same when we extended it two more weeks. When telephoned to ask why we were charged so much more than anyone else, they advised in a condescending tone that it was because it was done as a 'Good Neighbor' gesture because we did not have a 'lease agreement' with them or insurances. (we were never offered this option). This was made worse when they also charged the full rate for the third time for five days. When I asked for them to pro rate the bill they refused. so for 25 days total, we paid $600.00 and anyone else would only pay $130.00. Terrible business!! They could have been professional and just write off the last five days knowing we were severely overcharged or even just being respectful enough to charge only for the time we were using the two spaces! Use caution when doing business with them and CONSIDER the fact that at that time they allowed homeless people with expired vehicles tags to rent spots on their lot.  (we had to ask for one vehicle to be moved as their belongings were strewn all over the immediate area and on the property we were working on preventing us from doing the job). No wonder the lot stood empty most of the time! So much for being 'Good Neighbors'! P.S. their maintenance staff member that was called to clean up after the homeless people was exceptional! He was the nicest and most respectful employee we have met during this whole ordeal!!

Parking in downtown Eugene has become impossible for me, due to the refusal of this company to…read moreprovide any assistance. For several years I have parked in a couple of downtown lots that are under their control, and I was able to use their Park Smarter app on my phone to pay for the parking. Last year I stopped driving downtown for awhile due to all of the road construction that was making it too difficult to maneuver. So recently I've tried to go back to the lots I used to use, but I find they have made major changes to the Park Smarter app, and I can no longer get it to work properly. Some of the lots also have a machine at which you can supposedly pay (and some lots don't), but even the machines are complicated and temperamental. A few days ago, when I couldn't get the app to work, I spent probably 15-20 minutes, along with another lady, trying to help each other to get the machine to work. But my main gripe is that you cannot get help from anybody. Parking lots no longer have attendants or any employees who could be of help, and you cannot reach anyone on the phone number of this company. They do not answer incoming calls, but ask you to leave a message, and they usually do not bother to return the calls. So now they have me "between a rock and a hard place" regarding parking downtown. Without a working app, and having some lots without a payment machine, I simply cannot go downtown. This company needs a complete revamp.

I was there for a Eugene Emeralds game on Pride Night. When you arrive there is merch on one side…read moreand a bar/beer garden on the other, then a couple of porta potties including a handicap one, and then a huge flight of stairs to get to most of the park. There must have been an elevator but it wasn't obvious to my eyes. I took a lot of photos of food options, because if you have a more restricted diet you might want to know what's available before you go. I did not get a shot of every menu but I got most. Or course it may vary from time to time. I was happy to see that Peek A Book Delight was there, and was able to get a cup of mango slices with seasonings like chamoy and lime. You can get peanuts for $3 and Prince Puckler's ice cream. The stadium itself just has one main screen and there were no instant replays during the game, but they did have those fun and silly fan games in between innings that were sponsored by various local businesses. The park being outside got chilly at night but the restroom was warm. There was a couch in the women's room. Note that they have a clear bag policy and if you have a prepaid ticket to park in the East Lot, the entrance is at MLK Way and Kinsrow. Google maps took me to the wrong place and I had to drive a bit to figure out where I was supposed to go as the signage was not so good.

PK Park is the home stadium of the UO Ducks baseball team, and shared with the Ems during their…read moreseason. PK Park is not very old--baseball only returned to the university as a NCAA sport about 15 years ago. Most of the donations came from a prior athletic director, whose initials for the name of the ballpark. It's small but mighty, with a total capacity of about 4,000. There are suites, a picnic area, and so on. We walked all the way to the other side of the stadium and down to ground level to the only merch booth that exists in the stadium and they had one toddler shirt. That was a bummer. I was really hoping to find at least a couple options between which to choose, and would have liked to find their Monarcas gear in something that wasn't a jersey (I'd like to wear it as an everyday shirt, and the only times I've ever worn a jersey--which I can count on one hand--was at an actual baseball game); even better if they'd had children's monarcas gear. Some of the food was ok and rather reasonably priced. We were able to get a hot dog and corn dog for about $4 each--go to one of the "regular" concession stands, not the one with fancier items, where you would see a footlong hot dog for $17. They had some nachos that looked tasty, but we skipped them this time. The favorite was the cotton candy. Even my sister remarked on how good it was, because it actually tasted like raspberry (or whatever flavor it was supposed to have), and often cotton candy doesn't really have much of a flavor. It was also only $8 and I was expecting it would be higher than that. Whew, a price break. Parking is plentiful. I think it was $2? You have to pay by card only as they don't accept cash. The line at the ticket booth was really long and it took my sister 15-20 minutes to get tickets, so probably better to buy online if you can. And if you have an "oversized bag", apparently you're required to enter through the south entrance even though there's nothing indicating that (nor what an "oversized bag" is, so check the website to see if there are actual details on it).

Okay Center has changed significantly from my childhood for sure. I mean I had my first job there…read morejust after high school at Tiffany's before it underwent a large amount of renovations; I think the only thing that still remains from that time is Johnny Ocean's and possibly Skeie's. It's fairly upscale now with a couple wine bars, Hyatt, a new Drybar, Pottery Barn, and so on. There's even a stand-alone Sephora... Eugene really has hit the big time! I am usually only there for the Nordstrom Rack, but have also visited Chapala, Bambini, Burch's, and hope to visit Elizabeth's Wine Lounge soon, too.

This Shopping Center is my favorite spot to go to in the Eugene area. It has a perfect mix of…read moreshops, restaurants and plenty of space to walk around and enjoy the day. My favorite grocery store is Trader Joes which is a highlight as well as an amazing Thai food place called Sabai! If you have not tried it you MUST GO! If this place had one downfall and not a perfect 5 stars it would be because the parking gets extremely packed on a Friday or Saturday evening. Although there will most of the time be parking behind Trader Joe's... kind of a secret spot though so don't be telling everyone.

Small airport, clean facilities and restrooms, simple dining and a bar options, gift shop. Easy to…read morelocate baggage claim, rental car counters are immediately accessible. It's the better airport to use if you want to get close to central Oregon/ Corvallis area without driving from PDX. There's currently a free bus to Corvallis and other locations. It's less expensive to rent a car in town than at the airport, so that's my plan for this trip.

This small airport served it's purpose for me this past week. It offers direct flights to several…read moremajor hubs (including Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco) via airlines like Alaska, United, Delta, and American. Being able to fly in from SFO was great. I noticed there was only one TSA line which can be bad on busy times. I didn't see CLEAR and wasn't sure about a Pre-TSA line. Be prepared if flying out.
