The boat needed to be recoated as it was time and I'm sure I sped up the process by not applying spray anywhere as often as I should. The person that we were relying on to shrink wrap our jet ski this year at our house did not com thru. After promising to be here and many unanswered calls we had to find someone quick before winter set in. One person we contacted wanted $175. Someone told me that Diamond Shine did shrink wrap. I contacted them 2 days before a forecast of 8" of snow and Robin answered and said bring it over today and they will work on it first thing in the morning. Shrinkwrap Service: After using two other lakes region services and having issues, I went with Diamond Shine due to positive reviews on Yelp and winnepesaukee.com. Amazing job! As promised, the wrap went low on the hull, not to just below the rubrail I had a concern due to the upper being painted (Imron), not just gelcoat. The last 2 years, 3 out of 3r boats had tears and/or broken wood frames due to inferior wrap and cheap wood. As I tore off the wrap this year, it was obvious that it was 1 or more mil thicker. (I gladly refrained from complaining as I changed blades working thru the wrap.) When I got into the boat, I couldn't believe that the 'foot' of each board had a protective pad. The bow to stern frame had extensive overlap with no screws (potential tears), but, lots of plastic tying it together. Incredibly sturdy. I paid about $2/ft more, but I spent that difference and more in past years on gas to make a 280 mile round trip mid-winter to throw tarps over boats with torn or collapsed frames. I know that this year's snow fall was light, but, I have zero doubt that the superior frame and wrap would have held against NH's worst. Way to go!
