If I could give Diamonds International zero stars, I would. This company is an absolute disgrace -- and the fact that they operate onboard Disney Cruise Line makes it even more alarming. I purchased a $15,000 piece of jewelry onboard a Disney ship, and the entire experience has been one lie, contradiction, and excuse after another. Diamonds International continues to rely on a "signed" document that they cannot produce through DocuSign, cannot verify, and cannot show ANY digital trail for. They produced multiple versions of the supposed contract -- none of which match -- and not a single one was ever sent to me by text, email, DocuSign, or any other method. Why? Because it doesn't exist. They also claimed they shipped certification for the jewelry. What actually happened? They sent me a tracking number showing a package delivered to a door that isn't even mine. The FedEx photo is clearly a completely different property. No signature required, no confirmation, nothing. They simply checked a box and expected me to accept it. Every time I asked for clarity, the story changed. They are the greatest gas lighters in history! They blamed the ship staff. Then they blamed "company policy." Then they blamed DocuSign. Then they blamed me. At no point did anyone take accountability for the inconsistent paperwork, the nonexistent certification, or the constant misrepresentations. Their customer service is rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to address the facts. Today, I was told by Gregory M that they "no longer wish to engage" -- which is an incredible stance to take after months of providing misleading information and failing to resolve anything. Diamonds International behaves like a company hoping customers will give up out of exhaustion. They hide behind fake policies, inconsistent documents, and empty promises. They absolutely do not operate with integrity, honesty, or basic accountability. We bought two rings on a cruise and wanted them made into one. When they came we didn't realize for a while that the diamond was set crooked/the prongs not even making the stone crooked. I talked to "Jessica" about it and she was just saying weird things like the stone looked cloudy in my photo like I had used lotion. I was like ok... what difference does that make? Bought a tanzanite bracelet on the Disney cruise ship. It was listed at a very high price and I ended up with a "huge" manager discount of $2300. Unfortunately the bracelet fell off my wrist 3 times but luckily was able to find it afterwards. The thing that is extremely upsetting is, I took the bracelet for an appraisal and the appraised value is $520....I then researched about tanzanite tennis bracelet online along with the company Diamond International. Please do not ignore the negative reviews as you can find lots of similar all over the internet. They are know for scamming people with overpriced or faulty items. I've tried contacting Disney to return the bracelet with no help but sent running in circles. Now I'm trying to dispute it with my credit card company which is also all kinds of circles and hoops. We have purchased over $50,000 worth of diamonds from Diamonds International over the past 5yrs plus. Up until our purchase of a Crown of Light Men's ring at the Cozumel Mexico Store we were completely satisfied with our purchases. In November 22 we purchased (2) Crown of Light Men's Diamond rings, valued together is over $30,000. The 2nd time my husband wore his ring he could hear a rattle in the ring but it took a while to see the problem was the ring was not put together properly and actually came apart. I contacted Diamonds international and they did repair it stating it was a not assembled properly. We received the ring back. I should say that we both have additional Diamond rings purchased from Diamonds International so we don't wear the same ring all the time. The 2nd time my husband wore his Crown Of light ring was on a Celebrity cruise in August. He went to show his ring to another guest on the ship and noticed the STONE was missing, it had fallen out. We arrived home and I contacted Diamonds International about the issue, keep in mind it was the same ring just repaired, and again we sent the ring in. They then notified us that the Stone fell out do to damages to the ring, picture attached, therefore it was not covered. They would replace the ring for $500.00. At first I was furious because its the same ring and I'm sure the stone was not checked upon the 1st repair and it fell out, again, because of poor workmanship. We paid the $500 as we stood to lose 10,000 but I would never recommend anyone to purchase Diamonds from them because you are putting your money at risk. On May 22, 2010, my wife and I, along with several family members to a cruise to Alaska. While in Juneau, we stopped at Diamonds International. After speaking to a sales representative, we decided to upgrade my wife's wedding set and buy a Movado watch for me. We walked to the Wells Fargo branch, which is near the store, and withdrew the cash. Although we could have used a card, the salesperson said he would give us a "great deal" if we paid cash. The same salesperson told us we would have a lifetime warranty on the rings. Twice between 2010 and 2012, one of the diamonds on the ring (not the band) came loose, We called DI, and both times were instructed to drive to a jewelry repair place in Los Angeles. The location wasn't a DI store, but they fixed the rings at no cost both times. Each time I took the rings to Los Angeles, my son, who was eleven and twelve, went with me, and I preached that Sunday morning at the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Los Angeles. Recently the same stone fell out of the ring. Because DI repaired the ring twice before for free and we were told we had a lifetime warranty, we contacted DI for assistance. This time however they were not helpful or friendly. Their entire goal seemed to disprove that we purchased the rings from them. They claimed they couldn't find evidence of the rig purchase but did find evidence of my Modvdo and the ring my mother-in-law purchased. They used other words to say we were lying without outright saying it. They even went so far as to say they didn't send us to Los Angeles. Even though they believed we weren't telling the truth, they asked us to send them the rings. DI recently informed my wife that because there was no DI stamp on the ring, it didn't come from them, again calling is liers. So now they want $2000 to repair rings we purchased from them in good faith. We have no reason to lie about buying anything from anyone. DI has had several people contact us to say we are lying. We didn't get the rings from them, but we did get the watch and my mother-in-law's ring, oh and we don't have a lifetime warranty, only a thirty-day warranty. If that was the case, why fix the rings twice past thirty days. I for sure didn't drive five hours each way twice with my son to have the rings repaired. If I were going to pay to repair them, I would have done it near my house. We have no reason to lie to DI; all we wanted was the rings to be repaired, rings we paid a lot of money for. We wanted to be made whole. Now my wife is heartbroken. She isn't going to walk around with a stone missing from her ring. In addition, that set was special. The set I got when we were married, which she cherished, was small because I couldn't afford a nice ring. When we went on the cruise, I was in a better place financially. She had wanted an upgrade, and when she saw the set at DI, I could see in her eyes how much she really wanted the rings. To have a stone fall out, then be called liars and told, "you didn't get the rings from us," is a tragedy. What is sad is after DI repaired the rings twice, we recommended them to friends and family who were going to Juneau. We praised DI for the excellent price and at that time service and wholeheartedly said: "buy from them." Whatever you do, don't buy from Diamonds International. They will treat you nicely until your service needs are more than they are willing to cover. Companies who are focused on customer service seek to form a symbiotic relationship with their customers. They endeavor to have customers for life and do all they can to make that happen. More importantly, they keep their word and don't use nice words to call customers liars. read more

There was a 36 datejust that caught my eye and tried in on. I asked the sales lady how much they're selling it for and she says it's $11k. I thought Ok cool but why are they selling it for cheap when it usually goes for about $13k. I call my husband, a watch collector, to come over and he takes a look. We purchased a ring 7/8 which had a stone fall out by 7/15, poor quality/craftsmanship for sure. I contacted the location and was redirected to the national customer service, but was told in effect that repair or replacing the mount are my only real options here due to the terms and conditions (which spell out no refunds for buyers remorse and that refunds are available in the case of an appraisal showing a wrong grade, but with a lot of strings attached and reads as the company may still deny it if they choose to do so). Nothing specific about defective returns. I do not have any trust in the quality of the item, and any company this adamant about not returning clearly defective merchandise obviously already knows the quality of their merchandise. I bought a floating diamond ring and a diamond tennis bracelet which has been repaired twice all under the guise they were unique and high quality. High pressure sales tactics is an understatement. We went in to shop for men's watches. We weren't specifically looking to buy one but it wasn't out of the question either. It wasn't even a remotely enjoyable experience. They would insist on you trying them on after you told them you didn't care for the watch. I was on a cruise in Alaska celebrating a wedding anniversary, and when we stopped at Diamonds International whom a friend supposedly had a "great experience", and bought a ring, when we took it home to get it appraised for insurance, it was A FRAUD and DIAMONDS INTERNATIONAL ALASKA (HEADQUARTERED IN NEW YORK) sold us a ring two levels lower in the quality of the diamond than was written in the "fake certificate" they gave us. Luckily for us, the ring was two levels lower. Their contract states that if it's one level lower, you only get a store credit. We fought with these guys for three months trying to get our money back until Jewelers Vigilance Committee helped us. If you have been defrauded by a ring or watch store, contact them. They helped us by sharing the rules that protected us, and where we were not protected, and helped us mediate as Diamonds International corporate in NY was extremely unprofessional, horrible ethics, bad customer service and non-honoring of the mess they made. After FIVE months we finally received the refund they owed us. Thanks Jewelers Vigilance Committee for all your help! You are wonderful. I would give them 0 stars if given the option above. Bought a ring at DI in Juneau, Alaska on 5/11/2015 for $2295. Didn't wear it right away, as it was not an "everyday" ring. When I finally wore the ring at a fancy holiday function a diamond fell out. As it was past the 30 day warranty, Berenice in Customer Service reluctantly said they would look at it if I paid to get it to NYC. For the insured postage of $26 and an additional $70 they replaced the diamond that was VERY small and said they tightened all other diamonds in the piece(which I had asked them to do). I got the ring back a month later, wore it and 2 diamonds fell out...never to be found. I had a local goldsmith look at the piece and she said it was not structurally sound and the diamonds would keep coming out. The gold was not substantial enough to keep it from moving and popping the stones out. DI's solution was to remake the same structurally unsound ring for me for an additional $500. I declined, as it seemed really stupid to me. DO NOT buy anything from Diamonds International. They produce inferior merchandise and then do not stand behind it when you eventually have a problem with it...and you will! read more
