Upon returning home to New York, I noticed a large red "Final Sale" stamp above my signature--something I was never informed of at the time of purchase. Consequently, I requested a lawful refund. Diamonds International assigned Ms. Caroline, Customer Experience Manager (Florida), to the case. Instead of resolving the issue, Diamonds International engaged in conduct that raises serious legal and ethical concerns: * Claimed to possess video evidence of the transaction * Refused to provide the video * Refused to supply legal-department contact information * Refused to engage in good-faith negotiations * Attempted to enforce terms I never agreed to This behavior is evasive, nontransparent, and inconsistent with good-faith performance under standard contract and consumer-protection law. Legal Analysis 1 No Contract Exists -- Lack of Mutual Assent Under U.S. contract law, a valid settlement requires mutual assent (both parties agreeing to the same terms).
