I was a little early for my 1pm appointment anyway and as she explained the mix up, she stated that a masseuse would be available in 30 minutes, appologised, and said that she'd only charge me for the 30 minute price as appose to the 55 minute price I'd book and was going to receive. Now I mean everyone likes freebies yes but I think this type of customer service, where they admit they were at fault and make amends by doing something to offset them inconveniencing you is lost nowadays and a lot of the time you're made to feel like you're the one at fault. Having worked in the customer service field I get how important it is but also how easy it is to forget about it and think 'why does it matter' well this review proves it does with a 4 star rating! On this visit I had a 55 minutes Deep-Tissue massage due to my increasingly fragile muscles (too much football) and I left feeling great. Deep-Tissue massages can be a little different and less relaxing as they are digging into you a little more but I did feel surprisingly supple afterwards! Normal price for this massage would be £50 and I highly recommend it - just don't book online ;)

For the last birthday, we learnt how to make sushi at Samsi in Spinningfields which was hilarious! My mum had never had a facial either and I didn't know if she'd ever had her nails done, so I booked us in for a mini facial (you pick two areas yourself) and a polish and preen manicure each. Upon arrival, you will smell delightful incense and be seated in very comfy chairs... We had to wait in turn for the facial as we chose the micro dermal diamond facial - there is only one machine for this. Boy was it worth it though! I was even advised upon asking the nail technician that this was the best one to choose. I was nervous at first but the calming music that carries throughout the building and the confident person doing the facial, explaining everything each step of the way, is more than enough to help you relax! He explained that he would be cleansing the skin first, then applied a rough scrub to my face, and notified me he would be turning on the machine and not to be alarmed. ...Machine?! Oh you mean the quiet whirring of the box next to you with the tiny suction wand? Oh it's like it sandblasts my skin? It felt like a tiny little suction tip moving across my T-Zone! Amazing! And if you hadn't had enough of the revelation of your skin feeling like it can actually breath afterwards, wait until he shows you the container of dirt that's been sucked out of your pores! Ewwww!! But so good to see and feel how much clearer your skin is :) I went back through to have my nails done whilst my mum went in - the guy doing the facials was great and gave us all the advice we needed - you can have these facials every 11 days if you're trying to target an area of blackheads - I totally need to do this... The girl doing my nails was lovely, advised me on a colour because I was so indecisive and the bright blue looks lovely on :) If you're in need of a nails scrub up like we were, the preen and polish is definitely for you! Cuticles treated, trimmed if need be, nails polished, filed and lacquers of polish. 3 days later and they still look good :) I will definitely be back for more facials! Sounds painful I know but apparently it's a very healthy detoxification and I admired her bravery. After days of searching on the internet, many calls and a hundred quotes she thought it was something she could never afford. She then discovered The Cenacle Treatment Centre in Stockport who charged her a much cheaper rate for the procedure and after a consultation it was all systems go. I won't go into details but what could have been a very embarassing and degrading experience was an enlightening and almost spiritual one. The procedure was assisted by two highly professional and empathetic women . It cost only £40 and my friend felt like a new person.The Cenacle Treatment Centre also performs a range of other therapies such as Reiki, Aromatherapy, Acupuncture and Hypnotherapy amongst many others. It claims to 'improve functionality of the colon and can lead to increased energy and general well being' after the treatment. After my initial appointment was cancelled last minute (equipment failure)- off I popped last night. The place itself is very grand looking and to my annoyance offers no parking- i managed to get parked nearby on-street as it was after 6pm. I'm sure I would be at my wits end to try get parking in Wetherby during the day as it seems scarce to none! There is no 'receptionist' and I was a bit disorientated as there seemed to be no staff about but wondered if this is just because it was after hours? the 'reception' area was very new looking and polished and all looks very professional. I heard noise from upstairs so assumed this was where I needed to be- correct! Sarah was lovely and friendly, talked me through my diet & food problems with ease and then on with the procedure. My modestly was managed at all times and I was kept at ease by a very chatty Sarah while the treatment was being done. I definitely feel less lethargic today, a bit windy but definitely better for it. My clothes are a bit more loose and I slept great. Would certainly recommend it if you suffer with digestion probs, food intolerance etc.
