Their boutique is so comfortable, stylish, classy, and very cute! Out of the few bridal shops I had already visited, Evanna's had the atmosphere I was looking for, along with highly attentive and knowledgeable consultants. In the end, they had EXACTLY the style I was looking for and I said YES to the dress! It was a smooth and fun process. I would highly recommend this small business.

And, the Something Blue Shoppe isn't just any dress shop. It comes packed full of people who care about the community and care about you! I have had one semi-bad experience there, but it was years ago, and they were packed. The shop is a little small for the number of people they get flowing through the doors, but overall, it is a great place. There are two different shops, and they reign right beside each other on the beautiful downtown stretch of Hartselle Alabama. The prom dress story is the one that many Yelp users have added pictures of, but the original store is a bridal boutique. I have been to both. The bridal boutique is by far my favorite of the two because of the care and intentionality of the staff. It never ceased to amaze me how in tune the team​ is to what a bride should feel like in "the" dress. Lve the store!

She waited outside the changing room to help zip up or clip together all the dresses, which I really appreciated. At some other salons, I was left to fend for myself and half the time couldn't get the dresses completely zipped up. I actually ended up going with a dress Emily picked out, which I think is a testament to her expertise on what a bride is specifically looking for. A few weeks later, I got a lovely card in the mail from Emily congratulating me on saying yes to the dress. I can't wait to wear my dress for my wedding in March!

When my niece recently said "yes" to her proposal, she selected a venue in high demand, and the available date gave her less than 8 months to plan her wedding. I rang The White Room after a bit of online research, and had several nervous, neurotic conversations with the fabulous ladies there. They were incredibly patient and gracious, clearly knowledgeable, and assured me they understood everything about my niece, her vision, my vision...and that they would take great care of my niece and were confident they would have "her" dress. They even made room for her appointment that very weekend due to timing. My niece and her lovely Mother arrived at the salon and the ladies of The White Room immediately got to work. The MOB texted me photos of each gown as they put her in gorgeous dress after dress. I could see by the photos that while she was focused, my beautiful niece was also having a wonderful experience - so important! While I can't reveal details here since it's pre-wedding, needless to say the ladies nailed it. Wouldn't you know it - the designer was the very one Cathy, owner of the salon, suggested in our first call! My niece, a true fashionista with very selective taste and who NEVER settles for less than perfection in everything, found her dress, absolutely knew it was "the one" - while the ladies helped her insure it was by going back to her other leading choice. Suddenly, my phone popped up with the photo of her in the dress and it was official! I popped a bottle of Veuve Clicquot in my kitchen several states away and celebrated! Her dress is absolutely perfect, as was her experience at The White Room, and I have no question that when it arrives from the designer, the final alterations process will go beautifully. I cannot thank or recommend The White Room highly enough. I may have been more invested emotionally in finding the right dress than the bride herself, and they delivered. After my niece happily left her appointment, Cathy showed the true grace of her family owned business, and rang me personally. She knew I was disappointed not to be there, and she shared details of the appointment with me, and related to me as an Aunt and again, assured me that my niece had chosen the perfect dress. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to the gracious Southern ladies of The White Room for their flair for the finest in bridal couture, right there in Alabama, and for their incredible graciousness. I can't wait to see my niece on her wedding day in the beautiful gown they helped her select. Top drawer all the way.

I will never buy a single thing from here again! I paid $390 for a prom dress and then had to also…read morepay $60 for alterations that were not done!! I have the receipt showing what was to be done to the dress and they did the opposite! so not only did i pay for the dress I paid for alterations that made the dress worthless! Was.told to pick the dress up 4 days before prom when we paid for it 2 months before prom. So when we pick it up and its not right at all there's not enough time to fix what she messed up.. We paid for a dress that was made into a 1 piece I expect to get a dress that is 1 piece!! Instead the hooks have been took off the dress and the dress is now a 2 piece which cannot be worn to prom!!!! I call and let them know and all they offer is for me to bring the dress now (the day of prom) and they will fix it!!! THERES NO TIME!!!! $391 is alot of money to me and the fact that they hung up on me and not once even offered to at least refund the $60 gor alterations that should have been included because I paid cash for the dress is beyond me!! Oh I almost forgot beads were falling off from the min we picked it up... and I domt mean 1 or 2 I mean everytime you move they are just falling off!!
