I cannot speak for the other stylists, although they seem to be a bit more considerate. I had high expectations for my recent appointment with Nicole, as I had been saving up for this experience and had colored my own hair for the past 10+ years. I was referred to Mon Reve by a friend who noted Nicole was great with blonde but warned me about the cut-throat cancellation policy. Fair enough. During our consultation, I expressed my want for a blonde balayage and preference to avoid sparse highlights, fearing they might contrast with my natural hair color. Nicole proposed a combination of babylights and ribbony pieces which I agreed to, trusting her expertise. I also agreed to a partial highlight due to the time constraints, knowing I'd have to come back for the lower section next time. That was fine too. Although I was quoted an estimated $250 over the phone, the total increased due to my hair requiring an extra bowl of toner and extra lightening product, the latter she informed me in the middle of the session. I felt a little sick knowing the cost was more than I intended to pay but again, I expected to love it. The outcome was not as I anticipated. Highlights appeared sparse and gave an unintended illusion of gray strands. The "money piece" and root smudge we discussed were not noticeable. I knew Nicole could see I was disappointed because she asked if I had hoped for more blonde. She also admitted the result was not like the reference photos. I will say, she gave me a great blowout. I thanked her, tipped 20% and hid my disappointment. I called her on the car ride home to express my concerns and inquire about my options. She again explained that it was a process and that I needed to trust her, but offered another toning since my porous hair caused the toner to be more intense. I was actually ok with the tone of the blonde, just not the application. She called back and instead suggested we book an appointment for the next week, not clarifying cost. When I inquired about this via phone and email, I didn't receive a prompt response so I went ahead and cancelled the follow up to avoid getting charged 50%. While giving an overview to the receptionist I do not recall using the phrase "messed up", but there is a chance it came out of my mouth. Big mistake. The email response I received was shocking: rather than addressing the issues and making it right, Nicole labeled me incessant and neurotic. Since speaking up she has blamed my hair (thickness, color and porosity), the time frame, and the need for multiple sessions. I just don't know why she didn't just use the balayage technique to begin with. She called my hesitancy to trust stylists a "red flag"--when in actuality my fears were kind of realized with this experience. While I understand that achieving the perfect look can be a process, I cannot see myself spending another 400 to get the blonde I want. Going to see a salon with better business practices and consideration for the client, although they will have to work twice as hard to weave around the tiny blonde pieces.

They turned my hair ORANGE on top and blamed me saying that's what I wanted. They charged me $169.00 and when I asked them to fix it they tried to make me pay $245.00 to re dye my hair. I had to drive 5 hours back to Texas to have my stylist fix it and it still has a red tint. She couldn't even get it out completely without my hair falling out. Additionally, my WEDDING is 1 week away. They knew this coming in and STILL wouldn't help me. The girl that did my wack job also mentioned she sucked at doing color and she prefers just cutting hair. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
